We actually dined at Andreas Diner! We had a large group of 17, and all our food was amazing. The best fish n chips in town. That batter is so light and the fish was cooked so perfectly. I had the combo platter, I could barely eat half of it. Such good value!
If you wanna treat yourself hangi place has really good kai. The fried bread is ON! Definitely get in quick if they have Creamed paua on chips 🤤 The creamed potatoes is a favorite 😍 and the Steam pudding with custard! Bomb! Next door make really good coffee and Mocca 👌 Keep pumping out the meke kai and service e te whānau.
I was a chef for over 20 years in many restaurants around NZ and I always come back to our beautiful Maori soul food that Hangi place does so well, and the new side with their take of kiwi classics is outstanding. Simple food made with Aroha and to perfection.

Absolutely Delicious - Great selection of Kai. Hangi Packs have good quantity of food in the Large and small packs. Hubby reckons you get more for your dollar here than at other takeaway restaurants. I agree. Ngā mihi
This place has the best food! Cheap and delicious! You have to try the fry bread it is 10/10 and tastes like a donut. Friendly staff, hot food and a great range of deserts. So many people coming in!
Very good customer service! I will be back, for sure! The food are very good and tasty! Reasonable price too .... nice and clean. I will recommend to all my friends and relatives if they come to Gisborne.
Very nice service from the girls out front!! But take your own lined bag as the Hangi will leak all over your clothing and car!! Very difficult to remove the liquid from vehicle!
Hangi is a good size,and price, but needs seasoning over everything! The cabbage,pumpkin, kumera could be fraction bigger. Dessert are expensive for portion sizes in their containers. Fried bread incredible! And the other hot dishes are incredible and fairly priced!!
