Simply Stunning ! Travel a fair bit with work and always enjoy my meals at Rustic Cafe and Restaurant. A real asset to Gore and a hidden gem indeed. Have tried many places whilst traveling the lower south island and this would easily be the best. Friendly owners and staff who have a real passion for what the do. The setting is something you simply wouldnt expect to see in Gore - Southland with a tasteful well set out decor that is first class. Food is something else, always consistently amazing and good sized portions. Desserts are a treat too. Always dine here when down this way. Keep up the amazing work guys !

Amazing classic atmosphere. Best service I have had in a long time. Staff even offered us extra drinks several times. Which hardly happens anywhere! Food was beautiful aswell

A great find in Gore! They cater for Keto really well and most items in the menu can be Keto-fied, like my burger! Really awesome selection of food and impressive decor. We will be back to try the dinner menu!

Zipped here on way thru Gore. Quite a find! Definitely worth a trip. Service and food absolutely lovely. Amazing atmosphere. Will be back on another journey !

Cozy resraurant, tenderloin steak was amazing. Pork ribs were good but a bit dry, could do with a bit more sauce. Service was friendly.

The meat platter was perfectly cooked and seasoned ! The owner and staff were extremely hospitable ....highly recommend if your in the mood for some authentic South African grub ..

Fantastic restaurant!! Best food in Gore by a mile and we have eaten at all the restaurants in Gore. We had the rib eye, schnitzel and lamb rack. The lamb rack was the best lamb we had ever eaten, the rib eye was delicious and perfectly cooked and the schnitzel was enormous which was perfect! Fantastic selection of liqueurs and cocktails too! Not to mention the perfect creme brulee. We will only eat here while in gore from now on

The decore in here is fantastic. We came in off the street and weren't disappointed with the menu or the service. Lovely comfortable seating, affordable meals, a credit to Gore. Well done owners!

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Very clean and tidy place. Found it by accident but will be back again. Miss 5 loved the fries she said they were the best she's ever had

Amazing food. Best lamb we've ever tasted and steak cooked perfectly. Deserts out of this world and a full blown selection of liqueur. Best place in town by a mile. Highly recommend!
