We were told best fish n chips...agree! Elephant fish was a first for me and yummy as chunky chips! Took them to 'The Tip' out at the river entrance and watched Hectors Dolphins come into the river and go out through the swells!
Absolutely agree with their claim that they are the BEST Fish &Chips in NZ. Wow! The fish was beautiful and the chips oh my! Just stunning. You won't be disappointed.
Great place, the chips are the best iv ever had worth stopping in and trying just ask how you want the chips cooked...I recommend crispy chips with chicken salt :)
The fish n chip is fresh and the potatoes wedges is crispy on the outside soft inside. The potion is big too . The boss is also friendly will definitely recommend anyone coming here to try it out . Absolutely excellent crispy fish and yummy crisp chips.A great stopover on our West Coast weekend. And the business was sparkling clean.Very impressive.Ate them by the ocean.
Best chips in NZ! 1 scoop plenty for two people. Take your order down the road and eat by the sea / river mouth.
Damn good fish and chips. Very tasty fish with home made chips that is creamy! The owner was really friendly, giving us some history and current happenings about Greymouth. Definitely worth the short drive to the takeaway!
I came here with high expectations, perhaps too high? The staff are nice, the portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. The fish is pretty much standard, the chips are a little different but nothing amazing. I guess there's nothing else really in Greymouth.
Popped in yesterday for a fish and chip fix, by far the best We’ve had in a very very long time!! Chips were golden, the fish was cooked perfectly, and I even got an extra mussel 😁😁 the woman serving was the friendliest, most helpful person we had met all day. If you want great fish and chips this
Google maps brought us here - we're from out of town. Service is fast, the place is teeming with locals and tourists. The chips were of good quality cut, cooked in oil that appears to be fresh, nice crunch on the outside, soft and fluffy inside, with a choice of seasoning. Didn't seem too oily... ca
Really good fish and chips. Some of the best I’ve had in greymouth, the choice of chicken salt or regular is always nice.
Fabulous! Best fish n chips I’ve had in ages. Homemade chips- big and crisp on outside and fluffy and airy on inside. Really great prices as well! Buy them and drive 4 minutes to tip and surf club and eat watching the ocean and waves. Perfecto!
Best fish and chips I have had in New Zealand. My husband had gf fish and was delighted by the size of the portion and the taste. Very friendly staff and quick service.
Get the big sausage!! Nice people, crispy chunky chips, delicious fish. Recommended. Was going to go back and get an icecream too, but no way could we fit a single thing down after That dinner! 😊
Great burgers and as for the chips. Delicious. If you're staying in Greymouth, take the short trip across the river to Cobden and get a quality feed served by great staff.
Fish was fresh. Batter was crisp. Whitebait patties had plenty of whitebait and very tasty. Would definitely go again. Great value for money
