Review Priya Indian Restaurant - Greymouth

We ordered Chicken Karahi and Korma and they were very tasty. The restaurant is super clean with an extremely friendly staff. Thanks and highly recommended.

We are travelling through Greymouth, and we spotted this Indian restaurant. As we stepped into the restaurant, we had a good feeling about the quality we could have. It was nice and tidy. We tried out two dishes: the butter chicken and the lamb handi. The chicken and the lamb were tender; the butter chicken sauce was slightly sweeter than usual, but it was tasty. The sauce for the lamb was also great; we liked the spicyness and the rich flavour. We also loved the garlic naan bread, which had a nice balance between the seasoning and the bread as well. As a bonus the staff was friendly and professional, not pushy always came at the right time.

They use halal meat. Good portion size, good price and good service. Nice ambiance. Food tastes good.

Food was as delicious as it always is. Great service and even though we hadn't been in for a couple of months the man taking our orders remembered exactly what we always have. Our only complaint was that the restaurant is very cold.

Excellent meal and worth the price. We were very surprised to find authentic indian cuisine in Greymouth. We didnt expect much because the decor its not your typical indian restaurant and it says cafe and restaurant at the name sign. Definitely worth a visit if you are craving a good meal in a nice ambience when you are in Greymouth.

Passing through Greymouth and stopped for lunch. Indian food isn't usually on our radar but the food here was nice. Quick service, clean, polite, tasty. Would stop here again if ever in Greymouth.

They serve a very delicious buffet sometimes and south Indian thali during weekends. There butter chicken is to die for.

We were hungry and Priyas provided great food and quality service. Staff was friendly and smiling.

The resurant is supper clean looks amazing and the food and service was exceptional I've been to manny an Indian restaurant and this one is definitely up there. Highly highly recommend 👌 I tried popcorn chicken ...great..and exceptional Nan bread ..happy family here ❤️

We ordered takeout (4 curries, rice, naan) and was ready on time (25mins). Fairly authentic and pretty good for a small town. I was originally put off by some bad reviews below but can report back that having now tried it I can clarify for all that it was pretty good and pretty tasty. I like spicy Indian but ordered mild for my friends, but was happy when it arrived to be on the hotter side of mild. I love authentic Indian and this wasn’t too far off Veghan options are a plenty (we had Dahl makhani and jalfreezi) which my veghan friend thoroughly enjoyed. Would go back. Enjoy and good luck x

Had a wonderful meal after a tiring day at Priya Restaurant, we ordered homemade chicken curry, dal tadka and kadhai paneer and breads. All curries were good hot and tasty but portion size is less for the price. The staff was very courteous and full points for maintenance and hygiene. If you fancy a tea after your meal go for the masala chai.
