Review Columbus Coffee - Greymouth

Yummy food but didn't have available what was on the menu eg salmon. Not enough cutlery in the container they gave us, we asked for more but it wasn't brought. We had to go find our own. Didn't appear particularly busy.

It's quite odd that such a lovely cafe, with a nice environment, great food, friendly staff can be found in a small west coast town, tucked away in a Mitre 10 Mega department store. My partner and I got Eggs Benedict, Belgian Waffles and two frappes, and it's easy to say we were in love (with the food). Some of the best hollandaise I've had, and just look at that presentation. My only disappointment was that my yolks weren't runny, but that's a personal preference. Though we were intrigued by the coffee, the fruit (Mango, and Apple & Feijoa) left us feeling fresh and ready for our long day of walking and travel. We did find some dead flies on our table near the window, but hard to knock them for that as it was a clean space, they were a harmless brush away, and that's just life.

What a great experience at Columbus Cafe Greymouth. After 4 hrs driving and already being rudely turned away by a cafe who'd run out of food. Columbus also affected by the busy holiday time and the NZ shortage of ingredients e.g. eggs (so had limited menu items). What a different positive 'can do' attitude - staff were so creative offering other food alternatives. Even creating a new menu item Caesar Brioche chicken Burger 🍔 with polenta fries. Wow thanks team for going above and beyond for some hungry 'out of town' NZ tourists!! 😃 Great coffee & drinks too! ☕

All the meals were really nice. They were really busy but got my food pretty quickly and staffs were very kind.

Had decaf coffee. Excellent taste and great service. Highly recommended Christina 🌷

Breakfast was great but for a place that's supposed to specialize in coffee, my friends said their beans had all been burnt so they were rather disappointed, but the breakfast was lovely.

Remember your vaccine pass ppl :) love that they have an actual pass scanner too super no fuss and easy. Staff here are really nice & do their best when it's gets busy. Coffee is great & the fluffies are a good size and lots of variety of treats & meals. Always good to get a coffee before buying more plants and diy gears!!🙌

Located within Mitre 10 Mega store in Greymouth next to their garden centre. Great choice of food and beverages. Efficient service from the friendly staff. Always assured of a good Columbus coffee when you go there and a good meeting place too.

Absolutely perfect Egg Benedict (everything was so fresh) and wonderful HOT coffee to start the day after a very stressful week. The child’s meal went down a treat with young one. Having the covered playground for little ones is “icing on the cake”. Cheers everyone

I remember when my mom and I came here several years ago on our journey hitting up places on the South island! We loved getting the Mega Mocha multiple times! We have daydreamed about going back ever since. XD Both the drink and atmosphere was enjoyable, and also enjoyed some of the other places to eat in Greymouth! Have to try to remember the Indian place the owner of the hostel we stayed at took us to for takeaway. That food was very delicious...

This cafe is part of the store an you enter from within. We had the salmon eggs Benedict and the Paleo salad which was exceptional! The problem as everywhere else is the price. But at least with this cafe you know you get your money's worth.

Great food and atmosphere. Good vegetarian and Vegan options too. Probably the best/nicest cafe in Greymouth. Shame about the proximity to Mitre 10.

This is the most keto friendly cafe in Greymouth. Usually carb free/low carb food options in cabinet and as far as I know the only place to get a Vienna when ones over long blacks. Staff are always friendly and coffee is consistently good. Playground on site for those with children

Great cafe Great cafe with excellent service and good food. We really enjoyed our breakfast at this wonderful cafe located inside Mitre 10 Mega store. Will definitely use again.
