We are 2 Aussies travelling from Auckland down to the very south, and I have to say, these have been the best meals on our journey so far. I had the creamy chicken breast and hubby had the rib eye, and both were tasty and full of flavour. The staff are lovely and the whole place is very warm and cosy on this cold rainy night. If you are looking for a healthy, home cooked style meal, definitely pop in and have a look at the menu.

Yummy food and a great atmosphere. We had the venison pie and frontier burger. Both are delicious.

I had a pub dinner here with my partner on a weeknight and didn't expect much but this place was surprisingly delightful. We both had the roast pork and it was delicious, and well cooked. I had a wine and he had a beer and we were really happy with our beverages. Food and drinks were great value and tasty, service was warm, and the atmosphere was causal and warm. I wouldn't expect more from a pub. Great!

Delicious. We had the Venison Pie and the Chicken Breast. So So Good. Staff are lovely too. Not sure why the rating is so low. I highly recommend.

Stopped here for a quick bite at 11am. Had the whitebait fritter and salt and pepper calamari. Both were absolutely fantastic!! Hot and fresh. The staff we nice, the chef was so lovely, checking in on our meals also. Easy recommendation.

Called in for meal and drink at the bar. Friendly staff. We all had the lamb shanks. Everything you need and nothing you didn’t. Perfectly cooked veggies and lamb shank with lashings of gravy. Absolutely perfect.

Pleasure to have such a delicious soup and frontier burger in Haast!
