Review Hahei Beach Cafe - Hahei

Pete Armstrong
A short trip from Hot Water Beach brought me to Hahei Beach Cafe at Hahei Beach. Beautiful café nestled in amongst other shops. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The menu for breakfast and lunch was really good, and the food cabinet was really hard to resist. Service was excellent, kai arrived promptly and was delicious 😋, I do love my bacon eggs, Benedict 🥓. Kāwhe was perfect, as was the Iced mocha 🧊. Atmosphere was really good, hum of a busy kitchen, intense conversations between customers, good background music, lovely sounds of fresh Kāwhe's being made. It's definitely worth the visit if in the area (Hot Water Beach to Cooks Beach).

A Lovely place for brunch. We had some delicious cabinet food: Stuffed Eggplant, Pork and Fennel Sausage Roll, Bacon and Egg Pie and a croissant. But salad tasted dry.

Stopped for brunch. Good coffee, pleasant staff, and appealing food options. Husband had waffles, which looked and tasted great. I had a muffin from the cabinet, moist and plenty of flavor. Pet friendly too. Hope to visit again soon.

What a gem! They are super friendly and have plenty of gluten free options. It gets quite busy on the weekend, which made it a bit challenging to grab a seat but well worth it! I got the gf eggs benedict with salmon and it came on a very crispy hash brown with perfectly poached eggs.

It may be off peak summer season but this cafe was still buzzing with business. Even if it was mainly the locals. Isn’t that just a good sign that it’s good cafe? Well I’d like to say it is and what a wonderful selection of food in the glass cabinet to choose for your enjoyment. It looked fresh and inviting and prepared fresh from the kitchen. Service was friendly and welcoming. They got us seated quickly and service was prompt. If your visiting Cathedral Cove or just passing by we do recommend this cafe for some scrumptious delights and a little time out.

Amazing cafe! They serve Coffee Supreme and the meals were so tasty. In these COVID times their service with a smile (yes through the mask) was impeccable. The waffles had a balanced flavour and sweetness. Cabinet food was memorable too. Eggs bene served on a potato rosti is a really good healthy option to reduce bread/gluten intake. Highly recommended!

Very welcoming and open cafe. Loved the world travel map on the wall. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Greatest with a smile. Had a variety of options from breakfast to sweets. We ordered and seated very quick. Both sandwiches toasted and presented very neatly on plate. Both were very delicious. Out came the meat platter and OMG it was very filling. We did manage to demolish the majority of it. You can see the pictures of what was on the platter. Well worth the stop and worth every cent. Will be visiting again when in the area.

Beautiful local coffee shop and kitchen. Limited food choices but everything that comes out is fresh and delicious. Staff is friendly. Prices are par for quality and quantity. I will be back
