Review Rusty Radiator Cafe. - Halcombe

What a cool place! It’s a busy christmassy day and unfortunately as soon as we arrived they closed the kitchen because they were to busy, so we had to have cabinet food. After coming all the way out it was very unfortunate that we couldn’t try the food we wanted. Such a cool place though, if you love hot rods or classic cars this is an awesome place to have a diner.

I've been meaning to come here for a while now. Well worth the money for the big breakfast. Excellent retro style Cafe, good service and great atmosphere. A must if you're passing through and a definite stop for locals.

Really enjoyed our lunch at Rusty Radiator in Halcombe. Our food was delicious. The only fault out of 8 meals was the poached eggs on the eggs bene was on the hard side. Apart from that minor issue we loved our food. Particularly the deep fried chicken and burgers. My large flat white coffee was perfect. The staff were friendly and helpful. Thanks guys we'll be back ☺️

Fresh baking yum. Lovely. Coffee great. Service excellent. Will be a regular stop. Those muffins were so fresh they dissolved in my mouth.

Lots of detail in the decorations and thoughtful touches set this cafe apart. Posters on the wall are interesting, model vehicles from times gone by line shelves. Indoor and outdoor dining, a pile of rugs for warmth. Water jug available when I asked. Magazines to read while you wait. Good selection on the menu, and cabinet food - cakes, pies etc. Staff were friendly and helpful.

My husband and I just enjoyed a late lunch at the Rusty Radiator. We were very impressed with the friendly, prompt service and the meal which was excellent value for money. Interesting place with loads of character. Our dog enjoyed her visit there too and was given a fresh bowl of cold water on a very muggy day. Highly recommend if passing through Halcombe.

Initially they forgot our main meal, but were extremely apologetic, and gave us extra when it arrived. The Chatham Islands blue cod would've had to have been the nicest fish I've ever had. The beer battered fries were perfect. Great coffee and the White Christmas was wonderful and not too sweet. Yes, they made an error but how they dealt with it was superb. This will be one of my new favorite places to eat.

Would like to see a menu easier to find than just at the counter. However alternative would be to put it up on Facebook. I had trouble finding Gluten Free food on the menu but that was me and not cafe fault. Waiting time for our meal was just over half hour. Lunch time ,first fine day for long time and very busy. Food when arrived was excellent. Good coffee and also a very yummy G F brownie. Doggy water bowl outside Miss Penny enjoyed being able to sit with us outside a well.

love this little cafe, my favorite spot for a great breakfast and coffee..awesome 50's style cafe with a bit of steampunk art to look at. well worth stopping in if your in Halcome or heading passed..
