Lovely staff and the burger was absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend their house beer and red wine sangria. Great value for money and definitely worth coming to your ferry early so you can stop here.

The cantina is connected to Grangers, the restaurant by the marina. What's different is the food they serve. There were quite a few options to choose from, tacos, burritos, nachos etc, but we ended up sharing a para dos and nachos between three people. The Para Dos came with chips, two tacos, ceviche, quesadilla and churros for $50. The chips were quite nice and the salsa having nice spice to it. The ceviche was ok and served with tortilla chips. Their tacos were nice, I liked the black pan beef one since you could get the smokiness of the BBQd beef as well as the heat from the jalapenos. I was surprised at the chorizo quesadilla since it was minced meat but it did have nice flavour. The churros were a bit disappointing though, crispy but not much flavour. The Para Dos was quite good value and was quite a lot of food. Friendly service and nice decor.

Beef brisket nachos rule here, just amazing! Lazy Sunday lunch, we also had tacos and they were absolutely divine. Thanks to the team at Marina Cantina, highly recommend.

Despite having issues with our booking, it helps to know that their is a closing time for lunch that we were not made aware of, however, they managed to make things work on our behalf having guests travelling up from Wellington, there was no chance we were going to miss this opportunity. We arrived and everything was organized. The drinks are amazing and so was our meals. The atmosphere and ambiance of this ace was amazing and relaxing, out looking the beach. Really good for the summer time vibes. We were satisfied with our booking and money well spent.

Food was really good. The slushy cocktail wasn't that great hence the 4 stars. They served it with thin straws that were too thin for the size of the ice crystals

Always love heading to Marina Cantina on a sunnny day for some yummy Mexican and Margaritas. The owners and their team are amazing hosts and always friendly and welcoming. Be back soon.

Had a great experience here for a birthday dinner! A young lady served us and she was friendly and cheerful, really happy with the service from her! I was disappointed when the manager was quite rude and condescending to her when trying to apply a birthday discount they offer. Treat your staff with respect please 🙌

Always a happy time! Why hate yourself eating at a chain taco place, when you can get awesome well priced Mexican style food with the best views in Auckland! It's well run, as evidenced by the friendly, attentive staff and consistently good food. Easy recommend.

Best nachos ever, best Gucomole -would recommend Jalepenos on the side.

Better for a lunch date of tacos or a boozy night with snacks and mates than a full dinner night out. A fun, funky Mexican place with focus on fresh flavours and a degree of authenticity - and they've recently added nachos, which they didn't use to have! WIN! The best thing on the menu is the range of tacos - fresh, delicious, with lots of variety. However, taco means snack in Spanish, and they take that literally - these 3-bite size morsels are great, but you're going to need something else to fill you up, or bring your wallet for a taco fest! There are a range of other options, though: a nacho plate that is very filling for one person, burritos and so on. They're not going to break the bank and are large and filling. Great for a lunch. Great for an afternoon of tacos and sangria. Great for nachos and beer. Great if you've planned the money for a mexican banquet. But plan for it if you're planning to gorge on tacos.
