Review Cinnamon - Hamilton

The customer service here is amazing. We are always greeted with a friendly waitstaff and instantly are offered water every time. This is both mine and mums favourite cafe in Hamilton. The food is a delicious, their cabinets always look so appetising and service is always speedy. This level of service is consistent as we go here at least once a week and are always so impressed with this cafe an easy 5 stars!!

One of the best breakfast meals I’ve had. Ordered the Full Grill on the menu. Staff were friendly too. Will come back next time with mates 👍🏻

Definitely a soul food Cafe. Interactive, pleasant and lovely staff made our lunch memorable today. Food is made with absolute artistry and you can taste the quality of ingredients in the freshness of your meal. Medium to high priced but worth every bite ☺️ Makes for a great spot to enjoy a healthy meal alone or with friends. Seared tuna, corned beef Reuben and fries, loaded bowl, carrot cake, chocolate brownie was our menu of choice.

A convenient cafe with ample parking, great for our team toolbox meetings. Our orders are emailed through the day before, and ready for us at 7.30am the next morning. Nice selection of food, and also happy to accommodate those with special dietary requests. Thanks Charlie and the team.

Absolutely recommend this place. Hands down the best eggs I've had EVER in a cafe and coffee was on point 👌 Would give extra stars if possible. Staff friendly and service was super fast and easy.

It’s a little out of the way, but we have made the trip out to Cinnamon twice recently. We are always struck by the staff. They are all really friendly and helpful, but relaxed too. It gives the place a great atmosphere. The cabinet always has something nice in it. Though we usually end up eating off menus. Pretty decent coffee and hot chocolates to be had here too. My daughter loves their curly fries.

This place is great. Great selection of food, lovely staff, and very dog friendly. It's my favourite cafe in all of the North island. Highly recommended the lambs fry, and I'm not usually a liver kind of guy. The big breakfast is exactly that as well. Good coffee too.

The risotto is so yummy. Full of flavor with great presentation. 😃 Staff are very friendly and efficient. I will come back again when I come to Hamilton next time.

Amazing food, lovely staff. They got my order wrong at first since I ordered a gluten free option. But they immediately corrected the mistake by giving me a completely new breakfast. Would highly recommend

I had the eggs benedict with salmon off the new menu today. Beautiful presentation and the flavours were great. The pide bread was delicious and I enjoyed the additional turkish-themed garnishes. Overall, was a fresh take on eggs benny and very yummy 😊 Staff were super friendly and helpful. Thanks Cinnamon!

Everything about this place is terrific, staff, food, it really is somewhere id never worry taking friends or family to. So much choice and all delicious. Will definitely be back

Went as a family group of 9 to celebrate a birthday. Staff were super friendly, food was delivered speedily considering the busy lunch hour rush and the food was TASTY!!!! Will definitely come back here again.

I was left feeling really disappointed today. I would've gone as far to say Cinnamon is (was) my favourite cafe in NZ until today. I travel from Auckland and always make sure to stop in to my fave cafe. Today was no different I ordered two pieces of toast, butter and jam which cost me $8!!! I then pointed out to the man behind counter (pretty sure he is the boss) that his menu states 1 piece of toast & butter is $2. Therefore I was expecting to pay $4 plus I thought another $1-$2 for jam NOT $4 for a tiny pot of jam. Also when I questioned the extortionate price of jam I was spoken to rudely. I never write negative reviews, but felt this is warranted to allow you to question some of your prices and how customer service is vital even from the top.

Can't recommend this place enough, Beverley is an outstanding server as you'll ever find! My daughter her adores her! Thank you for always being cheerful, it makes all the difference�

Great food and service, hidden away in a suburban street. In my view, a great if not better alternative to other franchised cafes located in the malls. Also ample parking spaces right next door. Would definitely return again. :)

Love cinnamon!! Have always had such a great experience each time I have gone, such lovely friendly staff, great food and coffee.

I've heard so many good things but it didn't live up to my expectations. The staff were awesome and the service was great, but my savoury muffin was burnt around the bottom and didn't have a lot of flavour to it. The brownie was average. Coffee was good. Overall it was okay but I wouldn't rush back.

Not as good as other visits. Had poached eggs and the toast was so damn hard had trouble cutting with a knife.

Decent food for decent price. Alittle disappointed in the sizes of coffees but that just personal opinion but would definitely go back :)

Average, considering we were the only ones to order when we arrived the meals still took 25 min to come out, nice presentation but lacked flavour and chicken was super over cooked and dry

32 minutes from ordering to receiving two muffins - that's after waiting over 20 minutes for a smoothie and tables around us being given meals and coffees even though they ordered after us. When asked how long it would be we were told to wait, it's coming. Cabinet food really should not take that long!

Very nice coffee and excellent service. I like places like this that allow adults to utilise the children's menu to get a smaller serve.

One of the primo brunch spots in Hamilton. We were so impressed with this place that we came back the NEXT day!<br/><br/>What’s great about this place is simply the great food and coffee they serve.The Kumara pie was outstanding, one of the best dishes I’ve tasted. A perfect combination of salt and sweet, creamy texture while having a slight crisp. A sizable pancake stack with bacon and fruits, while the big breakfast was solid. They also do a nourish bowl, which I personally found the taste okay but it’s healthy and you feel good after downing those bowls. <br/><br/>Great atmosphere and would not doubt be a match for some of the top cafes in Auckland.<br/><br/>Showstopper: Kumara pie and Pancake stack.<br/><br/>Overall Grade: A+

Busy little cafe, gorgeous interior. We had an amazing waitress Bri! She was fantastic! So polite and funny. What a lovely staff member. Had a great time! Got the eggs bene. Didn’t like the bread I don’t think It goes well with a bene. Asked for extra hollandaise on the side and was cold, but I guess I should have asked them too heat it for me which is my fault! Coffee was good, and the atmosphere was amazing!

This is an excellent cafe that delivers classic dishes with an eye on quality and great service. Top class cafe. A real find in Hamilton. Definitely worth a visit whether you are staying in Hamilton or just passing through.

The food was nice and we'll balance the Potato cake in the meal gave it a unique style to Cinnamon. Atmosphere was amazing was very lively and busy. Service was good, cleared table when they could. I felt my ice chcoclate was standard, looking for something more.

The food here was so good, the curly fries are my favourite! Great service very bubbly waiter we had. Would definitely go back again, the eggs are very good for breakfast.

Absolutely love this place. Breakfasts are always awesome and staff super friendly. Seating and table space isn't ideal but everything else makes up for it!

My best friend & I visit this cafe before work. Nice place, warm & inviting. A little busy but managed to find a table for two. The food was amazing. Mine arrived on a wooden chopping board with all the ingredients on it, which you can add to your toasted poppy seed bagel. There was salmon, lemon wedge, pesto, cream cheese, tomatoes, pickled red onions, capers, avocado & rocket leaves. My bagel was divine! My best friend had the same. We didn't have to wait too long to be served. Menu varied. Love it! Will be back.

Had a very late lunch here today but just what we needed! Great coffee and I had the winter nourish bowl. Delish! Only criticism was that the quinoa was a bit plan and I would have loved a bit more salsa verde! Otherwise fantastic :)

I love the layout of this cafe! It also had a bowl of apples free for anyone which is a nice touch! <br/>Went on a busy Saturday so there was quite a wait. I had the chicken wrap ($12) and it came with salad and some sauce. Presented beautifully and tasted good (not mind-blowing). <br/>My mum got the creamy mushrooms which came with some small and hard toast which was a little bit disappointing. She said latte was too strong for her liking too. <br/><br/>Paid just under $35 for a cabinet item, menu item and a coffee. <br/><br/>Staff were friendly, quick to seat us and they often came to clear the table. <br/><br/>Not in a hurry to go back though.

My partner and I went for brunch here today and it was delicious :) The service was great, everyone was friendly and helpful. My partner had the bacon eggs Benedict and I had the hot cakes. The Benedict was amazing and the hot cakes were good but a tad doughy. We will be back next time!

What I really enjoyed about this place was it's super chilled atmosphere and friendly service. However their food was the downfall. I ordered the Quesadilla which was rather disappointing and my friend had a Caesar Salad which also dropped below the bench mark.

Was here for lunch with a relative a few weeks ago, had the beef cheek with creamy mash, crispy kale and horseradish-very nice, then had a caramel oatie (knew that was good as I had it before) along with an iced chocolate-needless to say I was full and would return again.<br/><br/>Definitely recommend this place to others as the menu is full of variety and staff are friendly polite people

Decided to stop in to Cinnamon after a morning at the Base shopping. It was about 1.15pm and very busy. Great variety of cabinet food and good selection on the menu. The atmosphere was buzzing and the staff very helpful. I decided on the filo and salad from the cabinet. The food was very well presented and good value for $12. I wasn't disappointed the food was great and the dressings on the salad spot on. I finished off with a coffee. Hats off to the Barista my coffee was spot on. Overall great lunch and a nice suburban cafe. Try it out.

$13 for a pie and salad are you serious!! <br/>Coffee is burnt tasting and wait times are ridiculous. Staff couldn't care less about what customers think of the food. Iced chocolate is like water and a drop of chocolate milk. Cars parked out front are seriously so dangerous as coming out of car park you cannot see a thing!! Sort it out!

I joined a friend for late lunch on Saturday afternoon, and was happy to know Cinnamon was open until 5pm as many cafes close earlier. Multiple things on the menu looked tasty but the cabinet food all looked a bit drab. I settled for the special, Asian pork burger with fries, and a latte. Coffee came out reasonably quickly but they didnt serve my friends cake until my meal was ready (which was about 20mins later) which I thought was a bit odd. Coffee was average at best, mine tasted on the burnt side. My meal arrived and it looked delish. The burger was quite tall so slightly awkward to eat, so I took it apart. The pattie was well flavoured but the whole thing was a bit dry and needed more sauce. Fries were nice and crunchy with a generous amount of aioli. My friend and I stayed and chatted for quite a while and our plates werent cleared for a long time.<br/>If the coffee had been good and the staff a little quicker, this would have been a great lunch.

Good coffee, good food, good service. A welcoming atmosphere that caters to everyone's taste. Originally planning on just coffee and cake, but decided to try some other tempting food on the menu. My cinnamon pancakes were delicious. The variety of cakes we tried were also mouthwatering. Worth another visit to try more.

Above average suburban cafe with a great selection of meals from the cabinet which are then table served. Efficient service although a tad on the cold side, some good outdoor spots on the front, nice and sunny along with a great car park right by the café. They make a very commendable flat white as well and all in lovely ST Andrews. Whilst not amazing I would certainly call again.

Stopped in for a coffee and a muffin on a Sat lunchtime. The cafe was very busy so we were a bit nervous that our quick stop might turn into a marathon visit. We were very impressed with the great coffee and delicious fresh food. Brilliant service from staff who were pleasant and efficient. We'll worth a visit. We will certainly be returning to try some of their great looking menu items.

Breakfast for two today. Lovely food, good coffee, and the team there looked after us well. <br/><br/>Good indoor and outdoor type flow. As a cyclist it was good to be able to just put my bike next to my outside table.<br/><br/>This cafe is recommended.

How bloody refreshing to see hospitality staff who love being at work! Place was packed - great vibe, nothing too much trouble, table was adjusted without asking - coffee piping hot and swift.<br/>Sunny terrace and great food! Not charged for extra butter and cream like other places. Well Done

If you had seen the place before the new owners took over, you would be shocked to know how much of a transformation has taken place. I think the owners have put their heart &amp; soul into this cafe &amp; i think its cute &amp; vibrant.

I visited this cafe today for a birthday lunch with my Mum. I was really disappointed with the food - I had a "Beef, mushroom and cheese filo" but when it came out and I cut it open it had dry crumbly mince in it - no cheese and only a few slices of mushroom. I tried it but it tasted as bad as it looked. I told the waitress and she said "oh". If she had offered something else to eat or a refund then I would have been satisfied but to simply say "oh" and take the plate away is not acceptable. Even though it is just around the corner I will not be visiting this cafe again.

I went for breakfast Sunday morning last wanted fish on the menu was fish burger $22 pricey but only fish. Normally foods great but can take 25 -35 minutes to come out. Thought ok I'm probably going to need a doggy bag for this one, coffee came out lovely waiting waiting 48 minutes go by out it comes, had your plate of curly fries, a burger bun, some coleslaw and one small piece of what had been frozen gurnard. I was shocked, the fish was tasteless, no egg, no lettuce, not beetroot. I did numbers on it, fries $1, bun $1, coleslaw $1, fish $1.50 maybe. Apart from being totally unappetizing it was a rip off, how a chef could let that go out the kitchen, they obviously did not care, I won't be back.

Was in the area for breakfast in the weekend and read the good reviews of this cafe on google. I must say they had excellent service and most of all yummy food and coffee - very well presented too. Highly recommended

This site has been the home of a number of eateries in the past couple of years, but this one has hit the spot like the others hadn't. I'm a frequent visitor to this lovely cafe, and have never been disappointed by food or coffees. The staff are friendly, the service is great, the food is well priced. <br/>Well done team!

I very nearly walked out of this cafe before I was served at the counter, but I'm glad I didn't, as the coffee and food were both excellent and worth waiting for. <br/>Perhaps staff members need to be aware that we are not all prepared to wait while they have a long personal conversation with the customer in front. <br/>The food selection was very tempting, a great selection of savoury and sweet food,and I'm glad to say something for vegetarians too, plus a blackboard menu. <br/>I will certainly be back to sample some of the yummy salads on display.<br/>This cafe is well worth a visit.

I've been here five time in the last three weeks and have found a good selection of counter and menu meals but not much between a scone and full meal, would be nice to see more mid-range options both in size and price. Good coffee, service with a smile and timely however our plates were cleared uncomfortably quickly. There are good seating options here both indoors and outdoors.
