Nicely tucked away down an alley but opens up out the back to a nice setting with terraces down to the waikato River walkway. Great food. Busy, but the guys and girls there are really friendly and accommodating.
Walked through town looking for somewhere new. Stumbled upon this place and decided to try itZ Was not disappointed!

- Calamari (saucy boys) 10/10 dish!
- Ribs - loved the texture and flavour.
- Fish & co. Was the only dish that we found underwhelming. Flavour wasn’t punching to the level the rest.

Great little venue tucked down the back of the riverview apartment block. Outdoor area is amazing in summer. I doors heated in winter. Tried the lamb kofta. Beefcheek croutons. Saucy boiz and sticky chicken. Craft beer selection ok but not expansive.
I'm coeliac, along with a couple of other dietary issues, so eating out somewhere new is always a little nerve-wracking, but the guys here were so incredibly helpful, and didn't make me feel like a bother at all for having to re-adjust the cheese platter to suit my finicky tummy. Gorgeous atmosphere, friendly staff, and the food was 10/10. I was actually so confused to see the rating so low for them, that it forced me to sign up just to sing their praises :) Would absolutely recommend!
Had a great experience here! Our waiter was super friendly, we had a great table outside with a view of the river and the decor inside was very on-trend. I had the scrambled eggs on toast w/ relish which was delicious and only $12! Also had the banana bread which was yummy also but wished the portion size had been bigger. My friend had the haloumi salad which was yum but she later realised that they had forgotten to put bacon in it which was on the menu. Other than that, would recommend this place!

We randomly picked out this place to celebrate my friends birthday today. The place didn't disappoint. The staff who looked after us was Clara, such a lovely host, took care of us from seating to dining up til dessert. It was such a pleasure having her look after us. We wanted to taste their cocktails, we ordered 3 of different flavours and small plates of different food items. Everything tasted. I highly recommend!
The night was great. The food was the best I have had in a long time. Made with care. The only thing was too much brown butter with the flounder.
We had a fantastic server. She had a beautiful accent and took the best care of us. I would recommend this establishment if you want great food and a fantastic atmosphere.
Found this one on a lunch tiki tour around the Tron. Totally recommend the house pasta was gorgeous and a decent serve. The staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. Funky little bar and restaurant at the end of a dinky alley. It was a bit pricey, but totally worth it.

True 5 star experience. Not cheap but you get what pay for the food was devine and the service was excellent. The team there was so professional, knowledgeable and welcoming it actually threw me a little as that's no rare.
They helped me order a nice and balanced selection of food and drink pairing. Definitely recommend.
Fabulous restaurant with great ambience to dine in especially if you want to treat someone decent. Price is reasonable for the quality you get. I really enjoyed all the entree, mains and deserts. Well trained staff. Booking is necessary. Look forward to going back soon.
A beautiful, open space with plenty of natural light and fantastic ambience. I’ve found that many menus in NZ have an interesting mix of flavours from a variety of cuisines, and at Mr Pickles it worked well. Everything tasted fresh and was full of flavour. The lamb was especially delicious.
Really nice to eat here. Great tapas and cocktails. A little on the pricier side, but worth the spend for the quality.

Fabulous restaurant with great atmosphere to dine. Price is reasonable for the quality you get. We had a great waiter. However, how our plates were collected was unpleasant. All the dirty dishes were stuck one on top another in front of our faces in two big piles, while sorting the leftovers from the plates... It would be great to finish the experience on the high note.
