Review Good George Brewery And Dining Hall - Hamilton

We had a great night out last night at Good George. The staff were so friendly and made us feel so welcomed. We loved taste testing some drinks and sharing a platter that was all served within a great time. Thank you for the great night!

A 15 to 20 minute walk from the middle of town. The Good George dining hall is well worth the effort. With a tray of 5 or 6 beers/ciders. Some of the nicest seasoned fries as well. Thanks to Leslie and Sam for looking after us during our visit, well done guys.

Amazing tasting craft beer. Paris & Karolina were so helpful and attentive. George the cat was basking in the sun next to us. Felt like we were at home except it was brewery within a church which kind of makes it 10 times better. Thanks Good George, keep the good vibes rolling!!!

Really cool place. The fried chicken and pork belly were especially good, squid, onion rings, cauliflower, all very good. Get the platter and thank me later. Friendly staff, and for me; the location is perfect.

Good George - Dining Hall is a great bar 🍻 and eatery 🍽 There are stools, chairs, and couches for different comforts 💺Seating is also inside, or on an enclosed deck My favourite thins is the tasting paddle, with a great selection of lagers🍺ales, ciders 🍷 cocktails🍹and mixers🍸 The menu is good. I ordered a selection of breads and dips, and it turned out to be a huge amount of bread 🍞. Some had walnuts 🌰 some had olives, some had herbs. It was quite good actually 😋 I was fascinated to see how they check ✔ and control yeast levels and whatnot of the beer They also have a great selection of take home alcohol on site for sale at quite reasonable prices 🛍 The gentleman serving me was really helpful and lovely 🙂

We hired the Good George hall for a private function as part of my charity group and we were so impressed with the service, food and entire experience. Easy to book, easy to communicate and everything ran smoothly. Would highly recomend.

Best place for a client function, just so easy to deal with, professional, outstanding food and bloody great beer. Everything was perfect. Totally stress free, if you want a smooth, no worries function, come to these guys they are brilliant and will look after you and your clients.

We'd heard this place was good and already loved their beer, but it exceeded our expectations. We went for lunch and the restaurant was beautiful, the staff very friendly, but it was the food that really surprised us. We highly recommend the combination taco platter for 2. The pulled pork and brisket tacos were wonderful, but the dynamite chicken tacos were our favorite. (They were so good, in fact, we came back and got them for dinner that same day.) Also, if you like beer, get a tasting paddle. The IPA is one of our favorite beers, but it was a treat to discover more favorites which included the Sparkling Ale and Small Wonder. And we were especially amazed with the stout, much better than Guinness and only available in Good George bars. Good George Brewing & Dining Hall was the highlight of our trip to Hamilton.

Great venue for beer lovers, I ordered a delicious IPA along with the big platter for 5 of us, a good deal. This place is well decorated, with a small shop at the entrance. It was a Sunday lunchtime and it was pleasantly quiet, so service was nice and fast. Staff is courteous and ready to serve. The outside area seems to be great at summer time. Gotta get back there then.

Good george had the tasting flight and brought home some gins too. The place was cozy simple and nice. The service was really good considering there's only two of them in the floor. Love all the beers it was such a good experience and just the right amount.

Haven't been here for a while but super impressed with the service.. Friendly, quick and available. We had burgers and they were yum. Will come back again sooner

We took some UK friends who were visiting New Zealand there. Great food and service. That beer was very popular with the party and the black Doris plum gin is very tasty!

Best thing about Good George Frankton - Leslie. Beer range was decent but no Porters and some beer ranges were out of stock so the range wasn't strong but Leslie made sure we all had a good night and really looked after us. Best micro brewery I've been to (and I've been to many)? Probably not but one single staff member made the difference.

Lovely friendly staff, food looked small to start with but boy was I wrong burger full of flavour and super filling, home brewed ciders were delicious. Check above the exit sign when you leave nice touch

This place was highly recommended by friends who love Small breweries. Good George did not disappoint. Beer tasting was delicious, I loved each one I tried, plus the bonus beer slushy at the end. A must try if you love beer and are in Hamilton.

We stopped by for dinner before a concert. It is about 20 minutes away from the main town area but they do have their own carpark as well as plenty of street parking. As a brewery they sell squealers of beer for takeaway or you can grab a pint or tasting paddle for their different selections. I had the toasted marshmallow stout and I really enjoyed it. The menu is quite interesting and does have a fair selection of items. I had the kumara gnocchi which was really nice. The broccolini that was served with it was a bit too soft for my liking though. The fried cauliflower was nice but I wasn't a fan of the labneh spread as it was really thick and a bit tart. The place itself was quite nice to sit in. the stained glass around the front area was interesting. There was also a cat which joined our table for most of the session. This place is quite a nice place for some food and drinks but it is a bit far out from town.

Such a great experience, from booking a table online, for a low-key work lunch taking a Customer, to turning up, quickly escorted to our seats, and our orders being taken, to having beers and food arriving in quick time with great service. We'll definitely be back again soon!
