It was our first time to dine in here and everything was delicious! Their food and drinks menu were a variety and a lot to choose from which was good. Try their nachos and patatas bravas as they are good + enchiladas and chimichangga. Drinks are also refreshing With the staff and service they were all nice and the serving time was quick! Highly recommended!

Popped in for lunch. Staff were friendly and didn’t mind our daughter with autism brought her own lunch. Very Impressed the wait staff were able to take our order by memory including drinks. Food came out quickly, was fresh and had great flavour. Thank he nicest Mexican I’ve had to date. Reasonably priced and very generous serving sizes. . Would happily return

Young girl who served us was lovely, my partner and I shared the beef fajita's, so good despite the beef being a little chewy. Will definitely be coming back

We decided to try something new tonight and The Flying Burrito really came through with the goods! We were initially nervous because we don't like spice or coriander and although present in the food, we were pleasently surprised by how mild in flavour both were. The flautas and mole blanco were very nice but the star of the show was definitely the corn chips with guacamole and sour cream! The wait staff provided excellent and friendly service which made us feel better about being so foreign to the menu items. I had the agua berry mocktail and I would have that every day if I could, it was so refreshing and tasty! To top it all off, the decor and atmosphere made this dining experience one we will remember. Thank you to the team for a great experience, we will be back to try something else, especially the deserts!

What an amazing place! Went for my hens do to their long lunch. Amazing service, friendly staff, the drinks were strong! It was awesome. Very highly suggest everyone goes!

I haven't had authentic mexican tacos this good in many many years. I will be going back next week for sure! The margs were excellent as well, service was fast and friendly. Can't ask for anything else!

Me and my friend decided to branch out and try something that was not our norm. We were apprehensive but gave it a go, the amazing staff made the experience enjoyable for us. The food was great, I had the mole blanco enchilada. The atmosphere was fun and we would definately come back again. Thank you very much xoxo

I recently celebrated my birthday here and it was an all-around great experience , great food ! The staff treated us very nicely, specially the girl named Vicky . The space was clean and organised, and my guests and I felt really special . Will definitely be coming back.

Did not even get to taste the food.<br/>Went there on a quiet Sunday afternoon and the server just looked at us.<br/>We seated ourselves and called the server twice to order drinks, he once again just looked at us and walked away.<br/>So we left, what a pity. Worst service ever.

This place has been around for a while now. it was a huge hit when it popped up in Hamilton with the magaritas and tacos and still is one of my favs. The strawberry magarita is a must try!

My standards for Mexican food are based on all the goodness I had in Southern California, so they’re pretty high! I really love this place, it’s about as close to authentic as it gets in New Zealand. Such a great variety as well.

Ordered the chicken wings, pork taco, strawberry margarita and the Aztec treasure. The reason for the 3 was the waitress and the desert. Not sure if she knew her job description but instead of waiting on me she was flirting with the bar tenders friend. The bar tender noticed I was trying to get her attention so he took my order twice. When the food was out In front of me it came without cutlery 😂😂😳. I got up and got it myself from another table. I asked for my desert to be takeaway worst mistake ever!!! That cake was NOT fresh and was straight from the fridge, extremely dense and was not what the description was. ice cream was icy and not enjoyable. Had 3 bites and the rest went in the bin

Food was good and customer service was pretty good for what seemed like a real busy night! Would definitely go again! Also situated perfectly in the heart of town for a Mexican night out in the sunset!

Good food very generous portions and great value for money. The jalapeño poppers are a must very good and the tacos were on point. Good service would visit again.

Food was good but definitely overpriced for the standard. On a Saturday they had a trainee on that couldn’t say what was in any of the the dishes, it got quite busy we only saw 2-3 servers on, and broken heater on massive booked table (in Winter). My empty plate sat in front of me for 10-15mins and was only removed after the waitress came to check if we were ok, we had to ask her as she was turning away to remove the plate. I then ordered desert at the counter, which was also not good for the price

This was a place I had been wanting to visit for a while and finally went for lunch today with a friend. We had the chicken fajita, calamri and a pitcher of sangria. We were both Mexican virgins so didn't know what to expect. The food was presented well and tasty so yummy. I loved the sangria. I glad I tried it. We both left happy and full. My only complaint is that they over charged me by $10. I think they forgot about the Thursday special in the sangria. So check your receipts if you dine there.<br/><br/>

Went for a birthday dinner last night.  5 of us in total. Ordered two platters that cost 29$ each, a dessert platter and drinks.  Was not really impressed with the food. The platter consisted of two burritos stuck together with cheese cut into triangles, a big bowl of corn chips, two chicken nibbles, two hard mini burritos (like mini spring rolls), little containers of raw fish, hummus and one of salsa.  They say one platter will be enough for 3-4 people when 2 platters was barely enough for 5. Quality of the food was very average. In saying that, the service was okay.

Always a gr8 place. Fresh ingredients.. Even as a vegetarian and gluten free, there is something there..gr8 atmosphere. Fresh water. Niceoutdoor seating.

Seriously the best cocktails I’ve had in ages! It’s nice to actually taste the booze, some places in Hamilton are pretty stingy with their alcohol. Nice atmosphere but the music was a bit loud. Food was good but nothing knockout. We didn’t get enough chips with the cheese dip, so we ended up ordering more. Aside from that the portions were decent. Staff were attentive and friendly. OMG Love the chicken and pulled pork tacos here, The margaritas are great too! The only downfall is my partner's legs don't fit under the small tables so we usually aim for a booth over a table. Can't wait to come back and try their 3 courses for $55 deal (Monday and Tuesday). Definitely a new favourite of mine!

Flying burritos is something foodies need to discover. Great and affordable foods! You’ll feel like you’re in some alley and food corner of Mexico. Go see it yourself for the record it’s really cheap! Amazingly done as well.

Have ordered burritos from here a couple of times and can't really blame their preparation. Food is good and veggies are fresh. Sauces/salsa were underwhelming in my experience with Mexican food. But a decent place overall with reasonable pricing.

I really do love the food here! Cannot go wrong with some good tacos! This place is pretty chilled, service is always quick and everyone is always os friendly :)

Cool chilled out ambience, amazing and yummilicious food, Overall a great dining experience.. have been to two Mexican cuisine restaurants in Hamilton and I can definitely rate The Flying Burrito Brothers high any day...They have a great options for veg and that tempts me to visit again..😉

Visited here earlier in the year with my partner with both of us enjoyingly it immensely. This time we visited we ordered the white wine sangria and was quite disappointed as it lacked a fruity flavour. My partner ordered the chicken burrito which he found very yummy. I ordered the pulled pork enchilada and was slightly disappointed with it. The service was great but found the meal quite pricey.

Overpriced terrible food. Service was below average. Margaritas were terrible. Walk the extra 5mins and go to Mexico - I definitely wouldn't come again

The atmosphere was good the music was excellent and the staff were very subtle about there ways and weren't in our face. <br/>The food was good but a little expensive . The red wine sangria made the night fun!

Went here instead of Mexico based on reviews on Zomato. Was excited to try the avocado dip but sadly, it was disappointing. The food was good, not great. The drinks were extremely over-priced. The staff were wonderful though & very attentive but not overly ambitious as so many can be. Will try Mexico next time we'd like Mexican food.

Really enjoyed both the food and the drinks here! The atmosphere was great and the service was good too. Looking forward to going again. They seem to have good weeknight specials and drinks as well.

Nice service and attentive, but I went at lunchtime and it was dead! Love the environment here and nice covered outdoor seating area suitable even on rainy days. I'm thrilled with the lunch menu providing many other options at a lunchtime price and portion size. Wasn't a fan of the high prices of the dinner menu when that was the only menu on offer. My comment that I was pregnant and couldn't have uncooked dairy, didn't make it to the kitchen, but I didn't specifically say to, so no majors there. Food was pretty tasty. Overall pretty good experience.

Awesome food and great service. This is probably the only mexican restaurant with a lot of variety and authenticity.  This is better than the over-rated Mexico on Victoria St. Great value for money.

This place is great! Very attentive staff which is a plus! Food is good and always on point with presentation. The serving is big, a one person order is enough for two. Definitely worth the money

Was my favourite restaurant after going to the Wellington FBB. Called and made a booking for my birthday dinner a few weeks ago, got there to get told there was no booking and would have to wait at the bar until a table was free. The flying burrito was amazing and even though we were sat next to a large group of rowdy, screaming teens we vowed to return. Went back tonight, ordered the flying burrito again. It came to us cold, when we told the staff, they simply microwaved our burrito and re plated it, came back to us soggy and still not very hot. Not impressed with the staff, although the recipes are great. Will return to the Wellington restaurant but certainly not the Hamilton restaurant.

Our Families favourite restaurant, they handle people having food requirements with ease. I'm a coeliac and have never been "glutened". If you have food requirements, ask them as well, because the marked items on the menu aren't they only options they can do<br/><br/>A couple of hints if you are thinking of going there: for the enchiladas ask for the hole mole sauce to be in a bowl, as it can be a strong if you aren't used to the taste. <br/><br/>Also Wednesday 5-6, is happy hour, 2 for one for some mains and the spicy cheese dip is $5. Had drinks, appetiser and meal with my partner for less than $20 each. <br/><br/>Bonus, is that almost all the waiters are Spanish speakers, and happy to converse with you in Spanish if you would like.

We went to the flying burrito brothers last night for our final night out in a while before our daughter arrives in less then a week and it was absolutely outstanding! The service was excellent and the food was amazing. My partner and I had never had Mexican food before but it's not very often you go out and can say the food was amazing! Would definitely recommend and we will be returning! Yum!<br/>The only thing we would say was that the two person tables are very close together and was hard to talk without feeling that everyone was included in our conversation lol

Pomegranate margarita was nice, but not served in right vessel.<br/>The ceviche; could not fault, but could not say the same for the waitress. She talked to me like I was one of her friends, don't think she has heard of talking to every customer the same. Later on when I left, I heard her say to a colleague she was tired; was tempted to say "I can hear you"<br/>The tostada in all honesty.....ok apart from the cheese on top; lamb and cheese do not work together.<br/><br/>Inefficient wait staff, good portion sizes. Not sure if I would come back

Exceptional service, high quality food and beautifully cultured shop – lovely environment! The waiter was friendly and humorous and the other waitresses checked up on us, throughout, to make sure we were happy with our meals.<br/><br/>The food was so delicious and incredibly affordable for the high quality. We ordered:<br/><br/>Quesadilla de Hongos <br/>Smoked Chipotle Chicken – Burrito<br/>Tacos al Carbon<br/><br/>And for the drinks we were given water (and a bottle) and we ordered a jug of delicious M7!<br/><br/>5/5 for the food and the drink! Each item was cooked to perfection and loved the colour on the plate. We went during Happy Hour and so only ended up paying $38.00 in total.<br/><br/>We would have totally given a generous tip, had we kept cash on us!! Great place! Go there!

A good place to have dinner with friends, they try to cater to different diets. The night a group of us went my meal was really good but my friend ordered a vegetarian meal and was brought out a chicken meal. Which really dampened the night since we all couldn't eat together. Staff are friendly but at times I could see them watching us eat, they looked slightly bored like too many wait staff were rostered on and not enough customers for them all. Although my meal was good, I did have issue with their drinks. I enjoyed the virgin margaritas but opted for a coke as my second drink. It tasted awful, who knew someone could get coke wrong. I sent it back and they gave me another, which I was told was from a new bottle, but it sadly tasted the same. Over all it was a good night, would go again for margaritas and starters but maybe not mains.

Great atmosphere, delicious food, friendly staff!! Overall quality experience. Slightly overpriced meals however the rest of the service makes up for this. Our waiter went over the menus before we ordered to make sure we understood detail of each meal and offered suggestions which were much appreciated. Wonderful dining and will definitely eat here again.

Went to dinner here last night. It was pumping for a Thursday night which is a really good indication of a restaurant worth going to. The staff were amazing, our waitress even got us some of the Mole sauce out to sample at her own initiative before we ordered our enchiladas. The Mexican server was so lovely and helpful too. We ate every last bit off our plates and came darn near to licking them clean!! The pork enchilada in particular was DELICIOUS!! We then had pudding and we both really enjoyed our desserts (cheesecake &amp; Mexican dunking donuts). In fact I was amazed at how may of their dessert options I wanted to chose. We used to frequent good old Pancho's in the 90's and his dessert menu was not great! Thanks for a lovely evening out Flying Burrito Brothers!! :-)

Disappointing. Pork crackling starter was dry and hard and not like my pork crackling, needed something to help it go down. Main was lovely. Chicken fajitas served sizzling at the table. Refried beans were perfect. Dessert was uninspiring. Staff were lovely but too young and inexperienced. We were a table of 8 Ladies and were not asked if we would like drinks during the whole meal so they lost a big bar tab there. Toilets were dreadful, grubby, toilet paper all over the floor. The company was first class. Won't be going back.

Underwelming. Overpriced. Guacamole had NO seasoning not even a sprinkle of salt. No lemon juice. Just tasted like mashed up pre frozen avocado. Corn chips were bland. Starter was just corn chips and guac for $14 and I ended up with guac with my main as well which I didn't know would happen. Will not be going back.

Helpful staff, great decor and atmosphere. Got smoked out a few times when the fajitas were arriving at other tables (then ordered my own anyways!!) Perfect portion size for me. I would defo return, and recommend to others. Oh but the margarita jugs could be a tadge more generous!!

We initially wanted a meal to take away which they said would be no problem (some of the meals would be far too messy to takeout tho!), but upon looking at the lovely environment we decided to stay and sit outside. <br/>We went on a Friday night and the place was bustling. Really nice, friendly staff, lots of people on the floor so we were attended to very well. <br/>One thing I would point out is that this is an AUTHENTIC Mexican restaurant. I had in my mind I guess what would be a western enchilada! Nice and tomatoey with lots of cheese. Nope. I ordered the Holy Mole Enchilada and it was the worst meal I've had in a long time. It tasted burnt. My partner's meal wasn't much better. I normally finish everything but couldn't even get half way. I guess I was the one at fault to expect the flavours I'm used to.<br/>If you want authentic Mexican cuisine and a lovely environment with good staff go here! <br/>PS: If you're confused about the menu ASK as mild could quite well mean raging hot to you

I have dined here twice now and would certainly recommend it to anyone.<br/>The food is fantastic and the service friendly and helpful.<br/>The only downside is if you have to sit inside, it becomes extremely noisy and difficult to have a conversation. This is probably due to the large amount of concrete walls and flooring. I realise this is part of the Mexican decor, but it's a little off-putting when you have to shout to be heard by the person next to you!<br/>Maybe we will dine here again in the Summer when we can be seated outside. Other than that a good dining experience.

Has gone for a Margarita the week before we went to lunch had a look at the menu decided to go there the following week for lunch. Noted a Jug or Margarita was a good price considering it filled four glasses we assumed the size of the ones we had just had. Following week the glasses that came with the jug of Margarita had shrunk to half the size not such good value. The food was good but quantity small, none of our party were big eaters but all felt not great value for money. We wend elsewhere for desert as nothing on the menu took us and we were still hungry.

Fantastic food, great portion sizes for the price. We had a chicken burrito and a beef fajita which came out sizzling and smoking, definitely catching the attention of the rest of the patrons! We had a chocolate cake for desert which was sprinkled with cinnamon for a bit of an extra kick. Service was good, and unlike alot of restaurants these days, we were asked if we wanted more drinks. It was so busy on a Wed night which surely is an indication of the quality of the restaurant. Highly recommended!

Have been here several times since they opened in Hamilton. Food is consistently good. However, service can be a bit slow (but always friendly) and was not happy when went with family and used an entertainment book coupon for one free main...they took off the kids meal as if this was a main instead of one of the two adult mains. I questioned this and they insisted, rather annoying I felt. Left a bad taste in my mouth at the end of a tasty meal.

Flying Burrito has redefined Mexican food in my mind. Simple put the food is out of the world, the Quesadillas de pollo that I had was mouth watering. I went with a group of friends and all of us were thoroughly mesmerized with the place. The ambiance is awesome and overall the experience was worth remembering. In my book, a definite "go go" for all the people.
