Really enjoyed the lamb on the share platter. The food was great. The cheesy garlic Naan was incredibly cheesy just the way you want it! 😋

Spent dinner here last night with hubby. ❤️ We ordered half a tandoori chicken platter, 1 butter chicken and 1 garlic naan to share between us both as well as 2 mango lassi. The food and drink are TOP TIER! Great proportion , we couldn’t finish it all. Well worth the price! Staff is incredible. 😁 Amazing work to the cooks & the staff! Keep it up Little India. 🇮🇳 (Would love if pani puri was added to the menu!!!) 🥹😂

Had lovely lamb rogan josh, taste was perfect! I'm a Kiwi but lived in Malaysia for 10yrs where there are many Indian restaurants...so it was my go-to for dining out. I came to Little India with an Indian friend for his birthday, and he said the meal was just like his father makes. The vibe is a little bland - but there was nice Hindi music in the background, not too loud. Plenty of space between tables for comfort. Some people have complained about portion sizes - and yes, it was smallish, but it was lunch, and the price was good compared to other places I've eaten. I would be very happy to eat here again!

We love Little India. We've taken friends and whānau there, who also frequent this restaurant. I've also asked my whānau to buy their recipe book, so I can TRY and replicate.

Review is 2 weeks late but it was one of the best Indian meals I've had. Really enjoyed lunch here. Staff were very kind and accommodating. Can't wait for another lunch date here.

The butter chicken is so good, it has ruined all other butter chicken for me. And the cheese and garlic naan oozes cheese. My favourite Indian restaurant in Hamilton!

One of the best Indian restaurants in whole of New Zealand. The taste of the food was simply divine with an awesome ambience and some friendly staff. Will drop in for sure again when passing by Hamilton.

By far the BEST INDIAN RESTAURANT I HAVE EATEN AT. I’m originally from Auckland but this restaurant beats Auckland by far. Got into Hamilton 9pm the time they close but called up and said can I please dine in, they was happy to serve me. Ordered khadai chicken and shai paneer. Was so surprised that khadai chicken had so much chicken portion compared to other Auckland restaurants I been. Shai paneer was cooked to perfection. Loved the garlic and cheese naan!!!! Thank you so much for accomodating us! Raranassriand Thpan. We will deffs come back again for another meal!

Walked around Hamilton late on a Monday night after a work conference and these guys were the one place that didn’t turn away 5 people at 8.50pm. Service was lovely, staff were very accommodating and the food was good. Although everyone but me ordered a butter chicken giving it a 3.5-4/5 I had an eggplant potato curry and it was a 4.5/5. Would come again.

İt is shit meal and terrible service and NOT friendly staff I ordered chicken curry they send me another meal some thing with lamb then I call them it is a wrong order then they send me cold,dry chicken and with little portion. I will not go there any more I recommend you do not go there, do not waste your money 😡👎🏻

been here for a lunch. it was not so busy. ordered Thali with salted lassi. I have got 1 Aloo mutter and 1 paneer tikka masala in veg curry. aloo mutter was delicious. however, paneer tikka masala was bit tangier. overall it was an OK experience.

If there is a negative rating I would prefer to rate - 10 especially for the who always serves during lunch hours, since I work close to them in central sometimes I visit their place for Lunch but once for all I have decided not to visit this shitty place anymore just because of their service and the quality of food.<br/> <br/><br/>Food 0/5<br/>.<br/><br/>-  Shahi Paneer gravy --  Smelled full of raw canned tomatoes, when asked them they argued saying that this is how the gravy would be and the the guys supposedly duty manager did not even bother to apologize for the worst food and he argued saying they had the best food.<br/><br/>- Naan Bread- almost most part of the bread was an inch thick flour.<br/><br/>Service  Minus 10 / 5.<br/>Definitely will not visit again and also will recommend my friends not to visit as well.

Unauthentic, chain restaurant style made to appeal to general population. If you want real Indian don't go here, especially for the rip off prices! But I suppose the atmosphere is more ambient than most authentic Indian restaurants. And if you like spicy, they can make it super "Indian" spicy

Staff were friendly, ambience was OK, food was average, nothing extraordinary, pricey menu, keema naan was bland, garlic naan were nice, rice was underdone.

Service was bit slow as we have to waive our hands all the time to order something specially when the restaurant was not busy on a normal Monday. Food was below average not as good as other "Little India" restaurants in the country. Not really a good value for the money. $21 curry vs it's amount is a joke. Informed the manager on duty about the experience, all he did was shrug his shoulders and gave us a vacant stir. He just defended his restaurant instead of promising us a good experience next time or offer something. WILL NOT COME BACK.

We went for a meal to celebrate a birthday, and as usual had a fantastic meal. Great service, great food and great value for money. We recommend Little India to people.<br/>"If you love Indian food, than you love only Little India."

The best Indian restaurant I've been to, I've been twice and colleagues have been multiple times - never been let down ..they import their spices specially from Indian giving them the edge over other little India restaurants who use the same recipe. Great vibe and awesome service. Special thanks to Goldie! You Absolutely must try the Tikka masala, something special.

You know what!!<br/>I would like to take my time to write this wonderful review about a well renowned restaurant on Alexandra street Hamilton.<br/>Today! I happened to visit this place for dinner and ordered Shahi Paneer, Palak Paneer, and the great indian chicken biryani.<br/>Just as we started to eat the meal and in next 10 minutes it was a shock for me to find a long hair in the biryani dish...Yuck!!!!!<br/>I informed the restaurant manager about it,and this person responds with a weird look.Took the long hair that was cooked in the biryani to check with his kitchen members and returns with a pathetic response as "THIS IS A BLONDE HAIR AND NOBODY IN OUR RESTAURANT WORKS WITH BLONDE HAIR"<br/>WOW! What a response..I answered him out of us here including my friends nobody is with blonde hair.<br/>In addition he started to quarrel with me and started arguing with me.<br/>Very bad customer hospitality!!<br/>I will never would want to go to visit this place again.<br/>Also,This guy never said a word of sorry till the end of the conversation.<br/>I had leave the place without food and respect!

Goldie and the team always welcome us with a smile.  Food is great and the restaurant is always spotless. Good menu and drinks selection.  Wait staff are always quick and friendly.

Disappointed. I've been here about 3 times hoping my experience would be better that the first. I can make a better butter chicken at home sorry :( your service is fantastic but unfortunately if I don't like the food I won't be back. Wasn't worth the price I paid

I've eaten at many Indian restaurants from brick Lane in London to many in Melbourne. Hands down little india Hamilton is he best I've had.<br/>The food is exceptional and Goldie is a fantastic host.<br/>I've nearly eaten the whole menu and enjoyed it all.<br/>Highly recommended to anyone.

Rang at 5.15pm to get takeaways and delivery. Was told it would be between 45 mins-1 hour. Food was delivered 2 hours after I ordered. Arrived at 7.15. We rang 3 times to find out why it was taking so long and each time was told it was coming. We have supported Little India for the last 10 years and will not use them again. Bad service...no sorry, no call to say it was late...nothing. When it finally arrived it was missing one of the condiments that was ordered - didn't even bother ringing them back. Not good enough in my book.

The food was nice except for the garlic naan but the service was bad. <br/>It took a long time to come serve us at the counter to be seated. The man was just standing there chatting and not giving us attention when we came in the door. <br/>The garlic naan was burnt. <br/>But their butter chicken is very good

To be honest - I wasn't impressed with our Little India experience.<br/><br/>Went on a Saturday night in a group of 14 - it was BYO and central city - so two good factors of our experience...<br/><br/>But the essential things lacked ...<br/><br/>The Waitresses would take orders from a person and when food or drink was ready - they would come back and stand at the end of the table ask One person who ordered and made it everyone's problem of locating who ordered! How hard is it to just take mental note of who ordered a ginger beer.<br/><br/>The food was average - usually you are pretty safe with a butter chicken but I don't think I would recommend... The food came out and again the waitress questioned everyone's order! Very frustrating.<br/><br/>Won't be back sorry.

This place does not compare to any of the other Indian restaurants. Simply put, their indian meals are below average.

I have been ordering in a lot since i got sick this week, and really felt like indian and my regular place doesn't deliver. <br/><br/>Ordering was no fuss.<br/><br/>I ordered Aaloo Gobhi, Vege Kucha and a naan, it came to $21 and $6 for delivery. <br/>I was tol 30 - 40 mins for delivery but it arrived in 25 - 30, the delivery guy was quick, personable and friendly and looked like he really enjoyed his job.<br/><br/>the kulcha and naan were amazing, really fresh and delicious, ditto the aloo gobhi - just the right amount of everything. <br/><br/>I would definately reccomend it.

Have been here several times since New Delhi closed (which is a shame as it was 5+ stars), the service is excellent, the food is lovely, it is very clean and has great extractor fans so no cooking smells. The naans are huge!

The food is always good, hot and the service is always nice and friendly.<br/>There hospitality and calm moods is always pleasant, strongly recommend any one going for any occasion

Best Indian I've ever had, anywhere. Have eaten in London and melbourne but this is the best and Goldie is a great host.
