We had a nice experience at Lazat. Very clean, and the decorations make the place cozy and comfortable. Warm hospitality. Good food and generous size. Definitely, we will come back to try another dish.

Fantastic Malaysian food. We tried the classics Beef Rendang, Nasi Goreng and Hokkien Mee, all amazing and that included the sauces. Wine list matched perfectly. Friendly, with great service, the decor is wonderful too. A must try. Being at the northern end of Victoria St this place can easily be missed, but do it, it also means easier parking.

Food was good. It was great that we were told about the lunch special, some restaurants do not bother to do that. Lunch special was a great portion. Hokkien Mee was good

Had a really enjoyable meal here. Service from Nigel the owner was good. Food was some of the best Malaysian we have ever tried! And to top it all off the prices were very reasonable. I would highly recommend Lazat!!

Beautiful restaurant in the middle of Victoria Street. Under new management, the cuisine is legitimately 🤩. Little we know how delicious this regional meal is. The presentation and portion was on the spot. The internal decorations are well placed and clean. The chicken meal was super tender and well seasoned. Toilets were super fancy and nice. Certainly a pleasant dining experience to go for.

Love the vibe here!! They offer a great selection in the menu but would appreciate a more authentic approach, closer to true Malaysian flavours. Overall we had a great experience here and will definitely come back.

Being pregnant in my 2nd trimester, I've been hit hard with the biggest cravings for anything Malaysian. So today it was a lucky thing my nose led me to the front of this restaurant. Both my husband and I loved the place and the service. The food was amazing. Simple menu, but everything we ordered really hit the spot and the portions were quite generous. I had to "help" the husband finish his curry laksa. We will be back next time to try the dessert menu

I be really enjoyed my experience at Lazat. I wish I could rate it higher but I felt that the flavours were dialled back a bit in relation to Malaysian food. The laksa is recommended. Overall a worthwhile experience.

Called in with my three boys while on a golf trip two weeks ago. Owner was really pleasant. The food was delicious and well priced. Reminded me of my trip to Kota Kinabula. Would recommend.

Excellent food with fresh ingredients. Attentive staff. Great value. One of the better Laksas in NZ and one of the few places that have chicken rendang on request.
