Review Two Birds Eatery - Hamilton

Went in to check out this place while visiting some family in Hamilton as i saw it had gf options online. I thought it looked really good. Had outside eating area, comfortable and relaxed atmosphere and the staff was especially nice. As much as I wanted to sit down for a meal i didn't have the time to, so I ordered some gluten-free hot chips to go. There were amazing options for gluten-free on the menu as well as some in the cabinet. The chips were delicious and loved the comment thank you all.

Love the little backyard open space which has lots of greenery and birds flying overhead it’s just a meditation space where you feel calm already by sitting there ❤️ Thank you for all the hard work you do for us ! I went here to get a Caramel Machiatto which wasn't on the menu but the barista kindly indulged me. He said he'll try his best. Verdict....he did it spot on! Thank you for giving me my coffee fix today! It's a nice cosy cafe tucked in a corner. Come and try them.

I only go in here for coffee, but it is good coffee. Promptly made and the ambience is lovely. It's quiet, an actually rather peaceful cafe. Loads of plants outside most of the time, and a little rocking horse for my baby girl. I've eaten here a couple of times and it's always nice, good quality ingredients, and presented with care. Excellent menu that I'm sure any dietary requirements could be met. It's a cozy little cave of a haven ✨

Hamilton's best kept secret. I've visited a couple of times now, If you eat with your eyes...check out the cabinet food. Kids menu is great too. Nice table layout inside and outside. Smoothie bowls are not to be overlooked. I have 2 fussy pre-teens who loved this place. Parking, wheelchair and pram friendly Thumbs up if you find this helpful

Loved the Vegan Breaky options - best we have had so far in NZ. Friendly staff and some warm spots to sit in the morning with sun coming through the windows.

The food at this cafe was absolutely delicious! The flavors were perfectly balanced and each dish was beautifully presented. I especially recommend trying their signature dish, the avocado toast with poached eggs. The combination of creamy avocado and perfectly runny eggs was simply divine. I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu! Shout out to Roshni & Masum for brilliant customer service

I only had a coffee here on this day and it was perfectly made. I love the quirky vibe, just like a classic kiwi pub, but a cafe! Iykyk. Good range of seating options including the outdoor area, tastefull and modern decor. Doesn't quite do itself justice on the outside front entrance, makes it a nice spot for those in the know or those out and about looking for something new. Lovely cabinet food range as well as classic brunch style menu. Note to self: a great place to bring your dad....he could likely have brunch and a Waikato!

Such a lovely Cafe, feels a bit hidden from the outside world which makes it even more special. Their outside area has a cute garden where dogs are allowed. The presentation was lovely and the flavors were amazing. A hidden gem worth visiting.

I had coffee and it was fine. Also, loved the atmosphere. Being able to sit in the sun sheltered and warm outside in a beautiful garden away from the traffic was great. The staff were really helpful and friendly. I'll be back :) btw: great healthy options in the menu! Unusual these days. Like rice raps and salads. Huge tick

My first review of this place was a short and sweet - First time I have visited and won't be my last. Food was great 🤤 and I wasn’t wrong. This is a great place to meet with friends or to have a relatively quick lunch on a work day too. They have a good menu, lots of choice. A selection in the cabinet depending on how much time you have. Indoor seating as well as a garden area. They do lots of different hot drinks including matcha lattes.

Visited this morning and got my favourite Choc PB smoothie as well as the poached eggs with added avocado. One of my favourite things about the food and drink here is that I always leave feeling like I’ve eaten a really good healthy meal and my body is happy all day. I love the chill environment of the cafe in the weekday mornings when the world is crazy outside with the school traffic rush (it’s like a little piece of peace in Hamilton East). Thank you tot he helpful and friendly server/barista who also saw me working on my computer and let me know the wifi code and where I could plug in my laptop. You saved my chill work morning!

Fabulous meal, huge portion ,had the vege breakfast

I have been a follower and fan of the Two Birds Eatery for awhile, and when taking a trip in Hamilton I made a point of visiting so I could pick up some food to take away for my lunch later in the day. Two Birds always strikes me as an unexpected treasure upon entering; from the car park off Grey St the entrance is so unassuming. Once through those doors however the interior opens up into a lovely long and inviting space with warm wooden furnishings and accentuating, well-considered overhead lighting. The eye is immediately drawn to the items behind the glass, lovely sweet muffins and bright, vibrant salads. Many cafes are now aping their recipes now in New Zealand, but Two Birds was an early successful trailblazer with raw, paleo & vegan cuisine as the focus. My server was friendly and polite, and I ordered a couple of Chicken Rice Paper Rolls; Carrot, Mint & Pistachio salad; a raw Espresso Slice; and finally a Cranberry & White Chocolate Muffin. All packed for me in decent recyclable paper or eco-friendly containers, though I had to remind / request takeout cutlery for my selection. Such great flavors for my lunch! The carrot salad was a real superstar, I had never thought to combine mint and pistachio as hero ingredients in a salad before, but definitely a new flavor favorite. As to the espresso slice; at one point during my day I intended to cut off a tiny piece to eat then and consume the rest later. However once I’d had just one bite along with the coconut yogurt provided to accompany, I just couldn’t resist the rest. It vanished, and I was left wishing I’d purchased two. The rice paper rolls were decent and very good for the price, very fresh. I only found the muffin a bit dense and perhaps not as excellently executed as the rest. Looking forward to one day when I could return for a sit-down brunch and get stuck in to what the kitchen has to offer.

Best cafe in Hamilton! Delicious raglan roast coffee and so many awesome menu and cabinet options. There's heaps of vegan and gf things on the menu and raw slices which you can enjoy outside in the sun or inside where there's plenty of seating. Staff are so delightful. It can get busy but it's worth the wait.
