10 of us dropped in for a sit down lunch without a booking on a Friday. Staff were friendly and responsive. food came out quickly and was delicious. I had the dumplings in the spicy soup, it was sour and spicy and fresh. loved it

Have tried so many Chinese places around in Hamilton, I and husband we love trying out new places. But we always love going back to dumpling king for good old Chinese. We have been coming here for years now and now with our toddler and we all love the food here. Just gotten better with time nothing less. Their hot and spicy noodle/dumpling soup are best.

Good Friday, first night in Hamilton, not much open, then we found Dumpling King just a few km away. Absolutely beautiful food, good portions, nice clean dining area and nice service. Fantastic !!

The Pork & Spring Onion Dumplings weren’t as awesome as I was told they would be. <br/><br/>They were real crispy from pan frying which was good, but the texture and flavour of the Dumpling itself wasn’t that good. <br/>It tasted heavy, and wasn’t light. The actual meat ingredients were tasty. The added spicy dipping sauce was delicious and left me wishing for more. <br/><br/>The Spring Onion Pancake was way too thick and had a dough like almost Naan bread texture which was disappointing. <br/>I expected the pancake to be crispy and crunchy with the spring onion flavour but it lacked this. I felt like it needed more salt and possibly made flatter and thinner. <br/><br/>The dining areas were clean and the staff, a husband and wife team were happy as and cheerful.<br/><br/>Might go back in 6 months time and see if it’s improved.

the pork and chive dumplings are great value for money even at $11, I have come from Auckland in the last couple of years and these dumplings are the BEST. I will be traveling over to Silverdale to get them when I move out of the area.

Don’t recommend this restaurant because every kind of noodle no matter what taste i ordered, they taste even magically the same!! It is a humiliation of my tongue..I wish the chef there could have found the right recipe to cook lol

I love the steamed pork and chive dumplings! They used to be $10 but they went up to $11 which is slightly annoying but definitely value for money. I would by far recommend this place.

LOVE this place. We got dumplings to takeaway (pork and chive-fried) and they were absolutely incredible! Going back today to get more. Love that this is my local.
