Good food. But needs a better selection. Recommend their Mexican salad -good stuff... the poached chicken was spot on.
Just wish they smiled a bit more. Theres a warmth in the service that's missing...

Kirwin is also one of the best baristas in the city, so he'll always see you right with a coffee if he's behind the machine.

2nd time lucky!! They always say you eat with your eyes..... look at that baked brioche đđđ I didnât want to destroy it by eating it but I have been wanting to come to this place for weeks. I tried the day before but it was to packed and I was on a time restraint. The brioche paired with the mascarpone and the custard was to die for and wasnât overly sweet! The freeze dried raspberry added a nice twist. Sooooo glad I came here

I looked on Zomato before I visited this cafe. And I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Reviews were good however, my expectations were pretty low. great hipster atmosphere. I had the brunch salad with bacon and hash. It was really good. the hash was coated in some grain mustard and gave it a flavour boost then just roast potatoes. Followed it with long black.... coffee was not burnt. it was quite enjoyable. I returned the next day as well. Staff were very friendly and plenty of space and seating types.

Always love it here! The range of vegan options is awesome! Love the chia bowl and their cabinet vegan sandwich, plus vegan milkshakes! Great range of tea. Is really busy at times so you feel quite lost in the crowd, but otherwise a lovely place. Love the style.

The coffee is good and well worth it, the food is great and fabulous. <br/><br/>Would give a 5 rating, however i never give 5 ratings, but if i did i would have.

Lunch for two on Wednesday.<br/>The cafe itself is roomy, light and clean.  Sort of minimalist in some ways, but nice feel.<br/>Interacted with two staff members.  SHE was  very good, HE needed to appear more interested with a smile.<br/>Food was solid, but portions a bit small.  Had to buy something else, so maybe that is the reason why!!<br/>My partner says the coffee is excellent (I didn't have one).<br/>Overall a good cafe and no reason why you should not visit to try yourself.  Recommended.

Came here for breakfast 13/11/2015 as never been before. Was not greeted right away and there was only one place for the menu (on the wall) when there should be a copy by the counter or outside.<br/><br/>Cafe was pretty clean and lots of room to move around, ordered the Mr Milton hashbrown with poached egg and salmon as well as a hot chocolate. Although the person behind the till needs to find some listening skills as had to repeat my drink because she asked if I wanted coffee or tea when I said i want a hot chocolate<br/><br/>Found a seat on a massive table, turns out the local mayor and her colleague were having a sweet treat instead of working.<br/><br/>Breakfast came, looked very nice-although the potato may have been slightly under cooked, other than that pretty good.<br/><br/>Likely to come back at some point, possible for lunch.

Been here a number of times!<br/>I should really branch out to other options to make sure I don't get sick of the place! <br/>The prices are reasonable, although I would not purchase another smoothie as they aren't cheap and they are very small servings.<br/>Food is good and never have an issue with the staff!

Easily one of the top five cafes in the Tron, great looking food , good range of seating and tables, all in an airey space. Had a first class flat white which was Supreme brand I think. Good range of local shakers and movers in expensive suits in the house for morning tea, this is the hip placed to be spotted in town mid week. Service was slow though (15 minutes for a flat white ) and the parking is poor but worth the patience and the walk.

The coffee gets better every week but the service needs no improvement! This is a regular spot for me - this morning I asked for something completely off menu and it was delicious. Love the whole foods and no/low sugar options on the menu and in the cabinet.<br/>With the high ceilings it can get quite loud in here at lunchtime which provides good atmosphere unless you are trying to have a wee meeting. Don't have a meeting here at lunch!

We came here for lunch on Friday. I was really impressed with the atmosphere in the canteen - although it was very busy, it was not too noisy and you could still hear yourself think! The canteen was also fastidiously clean.<br/><br/>I had the bacon frittata, which was flavoursome and had a good consistency and texture. My companions had the chicken wrap and the vegetable frittata. We also ordered shoestring fries to share.<br/><br/>The wrap was flavoursome, and the chicken had been minced with herbs, which gave it a fresh flavour, although the texture was slightly too dry for my liking. The vegetable frittata was not as flavoursome as we had hoped, but otherwise pleasant.<br/><br/>The service was refreshingly quick, and this place is also excellent value for money - we spent $40 and got three lunches, fries to share, a coffee and a cold beverage!

Wow this place was so delicious! I got the Mr Milton's potato hash with poached eggs and bacon, a long black, my bae got poached eggs on sourdough and we shared a side order of black pudding. The good far outweighed the underwhelming, which was basically only the hollandaise sauce, everything else was great. I need to do extra shouts out on that black pudding cos it was the bomb! Would so come back here next time I'm in Hamilton!

Mr Miltons is yet to disappoint me, probably the best cafe in hamilton at the moment. The menu is small and well thought out with modern twists on old faves. The cabinet is packed full of delicious fresh sandwiches, salads and stacks with plenty for gluten free eaters. Lots of sweet treats to pick from, from cakes and slices to small bites like ginger kisses or hand made oreos. The moist lemon cake is a must with tangy lemon curd and cream cheese icing yum yum! The supreme coffee is always brewed to perfection, luscious strong double shots and silky milk. Spot on mr milton ????

Had afternoon tea here today. A good size cafe its light, clean and modern, with is space for larger groups at the long tables with chunky benches. <br/> There was a good range of food both sweet and savory, snack and full meal options. I had a caramelized onion and feta brioche, which was nice, a tiny bit on the heavy side but very tasty, it was served with nice style on wooden broad with butter, serviette etc for what we got it was well priced.<br/> The coffee was well made was served in a good time just what we needed in the cooler weather. I've been here weekly for the last two months and cannot fault the service or food. UPDATED 1.4.15 still can't fault this cafe..great food selection and consistently good coffee..UPDATED 16.2.16 Great new look...

Excellent baking, friendly efficient staff (who appear to be baristas, not barristers, in spite of the above description ;-) and fabulous coffee. The baking is what makes this extra special. Highly recommended (if available) are the plum and chocolate tarts. They're not big, but very rich and go perfectly with a cup of coffee. I also really appreciate the fact that the staff don't automatically heat everything in the microwave. Absolutely ruins good pastry to have it warmed, and here I don't have to ask them not to.

Mr Miltons take a bow - the brunch salmon salad is my new fave<br/>brunch / lunch dish in the tron. Excellent long blacks, fabulous, friendly people. I really enjoy all the little touches of finesse with all their dishes - the relish with scrambled eggs and yummy fresh fritatta are moreish.

We love eating at Mr Miltons - tried most of the menu and every dish is tasty and delivers on flavour every time. Interesting variety of salads that change each day. The coffee is very good, plus they offer coffee loyalty card - free coffee every tenth cup. The extra special attention to detail on food presentation is rare in your average cafe situation but they do it well every time!

It was a while ago that I went to this cafe, but out of all the cafes that I have been to in Hamilton this cafe is by far one of the best. I arrived when the kitchen had closed but the chef still cooked me poached eggs of five grain toast, and it has been the best I have tasted in a long time. Not sure why there aren't many reviews about this place. It's a very good cafe.
