Review Saigon Noon - Hamilton

This is my go to Vietnamese restaurant in Hamilton. It’s cheap (about $20 for the main dishes), friendly, fast and has amazing flavours with genuine Vietnamese dishes. I’ve eaten pretty much everything on the menu here and never been disappointed.

Tasty and authentic Vietnamese street food, cheaper than Thai. Sufficient seats, good location at the heart of the city, plenty on street parking and free for 2 hours. Even if you park couple of street aways, it's still within walking distance. Good menu choices and served very faste. Friendly staff. Pretty much self service as the staff service is minimal. They hand you the menus and bring the water, you then have to pay at the cashier's. Still very happy. Highly recommended for others to give this place ago, you will like it.

Only the place to get food whenever pass by Hamilton 😋😋 I like the foods with curry, yum yum.

I had the pleasure of dining here recently and enjoyed the meal. The portion was a good size for price. I wish that vegan food was more clearly marked on the menu, and the restaurant could improve their heating as it was a bit cold.

Really warm and friendly place with delicious pho (ask for the beef tendon, off the menu). The summer rolls and spring rolls were fine, and the banh mi looked really nice (I'll try one next time). The interior is clean and comfortable, and the owners were really pleasant and inviting.

Excellent food, Bahn mi and Pho were outstanding and we'll priced. Portions were fair as well. Clean and roomy space and very fast friendly service. Definitely would come back, definitely on my list of places to eat when in Hamilton.

Nice little cozy Vietnamese restaurant..... I ordered a chicken curry , rice and salads ...kept it pretty simple to compare it with a couple other Vietnamese restaurants. Found the food to be decent and filling. Service was prompt and good. I forgot to take the photos, but presentation was okay and average.

Cozy place at the corner of Alexandria and Collinghood, very close to CBD. It is Vietnamese food, well prepared and delicious. The chef/owner was there and prepared himself. Liked the environment and cleanness of the place, staff is fantastic and the food we presented. I had noodles with beef and with some drops of lime, turned into a wonderful meal. Loved it!

Saigon Noon is one of the hole in the wall gems of Hamilton that I've come to learn about in my years living in this city. From the very minute I stepped into this little cafe, with the smells, the warm welcomes and the hearty smiles all round, I felt less like a customer and more like a guest finding their way through this little home. The place had this beautiful aroma that got us in the mood for the food on offer almost immediately, the seating was wonderful, not overdone, but just cosy enough. And the lighting was just incredible. Something that really stuck out, as most places are lit to see the people, this place felt like it was lit to experience the food in more ways than just taste. I was slightly surprised with the limited items on the menu. But they happened to have a reason for that. We chose our dishes from a selection of about 18 options, if that. I chose a ginger chicken with lemongrass and a side of rice and a salad. From the moment our dishes (3) were brought to our table, on a beautiful cane basket and in some simple, homely, yet dazzling ceramic pieces, I knew this place was special. As we dug in, I was certain I was having one of the most wholesome meals Hamilton can offer. Turns out, in my eyes, that their limited menu was for the very humble reason that they chose to focus on, and create an intense and exquisite flavour with each dish they present. I can say this was one of the highlights of my week. And might just be a highlight for my month.

Very nice beef pho with good flavour, however there was a lack of meat. Service was very nice though.

Food is pretty avarage for the price, Pho is lacking flavour, great staff and atmosphere. This photo below is a Banh mi bento box which comes at about $20

Nice resturant located in central hamilton. Our main reason for going was because of their advertised menu on Facebook which had the braised pork belly. When we arrived they said that menu was mother's day only (did not say this anywhere on Facebook!!) And had to order from the set menu instead if we wanted to try what we originally went for! However the owner/chef was super friendly and approachable and honored the menu items. Food came out with great presentation and superb in flavor. Would be going back to try their pho

Food 3.5/5
Ambiance 4/5
Service 4.5/5

Bright and clean restaurant. Very accommodating and smiley staff. Visually appealing presentation of dishes. Vegetarian roll was light and flavour was enhanced from the peanut sauce. Com Saigon (tofu rice dish) crispy tofu and well complimented by sweet savoury sauce. Beef Pho was ok would have loved more beef flavour in the soup.

Best Vietnamese food I have ever tasted in my life! I had the Chicken Phô and I swear this is helping the nasty cold I had. Delicious overall, I got it delivered by Deliver Easy so next time I go, I will dine in with my hubby. Photo is pretty much halfway through eating as it was too good.

Curry chicken was OK, but only had two pieces of chicken..

Then we ordered coffee,
First it was just milk, we asked for this to be redone please, the second attempt was better but unfortunately ice cold, the third attempt the coffee was fine except they used dirty cups, with a previous customers lipstick still on the cups (we were just guys).

So eventually gave up on a decent cup and left.

:(

Cheap and cheerful! Really nice ambience, clean, cool decor. Banh mi was really flavoursome and curry was super yummy too! Very nice experience

There's a lot of potential for this place. I feel like they are trying to westernise the flavour and market itself as hipster cafe with vietnamese offerings. If they really embraced their vietnamese flavours I think this place can be a standout. More oomph in the pho and marinade time for their bahnmi proteins I think this place can be a Hamilton standout.
