Food was great. The place was busy when we arrived which always a good sign 😊 The business can definitely grow and even look for a bigger space. Bathrooms need a little attention. I know generally there is a shortage of hands due to COVID restrictions. All in all great restaurant.

Great food here. Ordered through the app and they had it ready before the time stated in the app meaning it was not as hot as it could have been by the time we got home

Nice chicken! Fresh salad. Nice atmosphere. Warm summer evening, was nice to be able to sit outside with the cool breeze. Wasnt advised,when ordering, where their napkins or knives and forks were, that would have been helpful to know.

Nando's the Rapa is so very quaint and lovely. super cosy wasn't too busy round midday and the staff was super helpful and good vibes overall.

Absolutely love it. The kai is delicious, the vibe is chill and the service was amazing. You can scan the QR code and order from your table. Loved the paintings of the beautiful african woman.

Never ever had rice whenever we come in to buy food. I think their rice cooker might be broken.

We got the whole chicken and 2 sides for takeaway. So not worth it . The chicken is getting smaller and smaller every single time and it's getting more and more expensive. And they told us they don't have the potato salad as a side anymore either. We have decided that we not going there anymore. They are a rip off.

Went on a busy public holiday weekend. Must have been short staffed as it took ages to order. After sitting and waiting 15 mins we cleared our own table (from the people before us) and took the dirty plates in. Asked the staff for a spray and rag so I could wipe the table, she came and did this and brought us some water but no glasses! Food was good, can’t really go wrong with it but service was a bit lax.

We ate here when we are on our way back to Auckland. Taste wise it's fine the usual Nando's flavor on the chicken however service was a bit slow maybe due to a high volume of customers during our visit. Staffs were nice though.

We came in for takeaways about 850 on my watch, and was told rudely by one of staff that they were closed I checked on site and it said till 9 was very upset as we were 3 families wanting a meal. It's not the first time that's happened by the same person too I think

Service is ok but not what it used to be. Food is still good but takes forever to be prepared. Would rather recommend going to the nandos in town.

Just been there this afternoon , I had whole chicken with two large sides include chips and salad. Really didn’t happy with the salad as it was with rotten fancy lettuce. Invoive number 011072. Hope you guys will look forward to it.

I been there today with my children. The food came very late and very cold. The chips was disgusting. The chicken had no flavour. I think the chef's who worked long time ago were better then today.

First nandos I ever truly enjoyed the food was good and the staff are very friendly my group made a decent sized mixed order and they got it right the first time, the establishment was a bit small and quite noisy.

A decent restaurant but not with a spacious ambience. Loved d food and it was quite filling. We ordered peri peri fries, Nando's special grilled chicken and Portuguese Veggie Paella; didn't know that fries do come with an accompaniment!! Overall a good experience!!

Edit 6/5/16: They appear to have changed their menu and no longer offer the sets with sides + drinks. It is rather more expensive now, without any commensurate increase in quality, which is quite disappointing. I wonder if this is a nationwide change or just the Hamilton branch?<br/><br/>Original review: IMO Nandos is fine if you see it for what it is - essentially a type of fast food chain. You get a tasty, filling meal that isn't too expensive (although it's more expensive than regular fast food), but don't expect too much in the way of ambience or service. In fact, I think the service is pretty decent, they've always accommodated my requests. Their peri-peri sauce is a highlight for me, and their grilled chicken is always moist and tender.

Nando's is what it is. Go in for delicious flame grilled chicken and the quality you get makes everything else seem like the resteraunt's character. I dine here more than anywhere else.

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews? I find with Nandos that it is what it is. I didn't find the venue to be dirty as it states in other reviews and our food arrived very promptly after making our order.

Staff were friendly and the food was good,only thing was they gave me the wrong meal...<br/>Ordered a medium burger and got a mild and there was a pile of dishes sitting on a table waiting to be cleared for the duration,I was the only one there other than the staff

Went in to mostly empty seats over a weekend. Ordered chips, burger and paella. Didn't have to wait for long, but there was hair on the chips. They were quickly replaced with some apologies.Theor special peri peri saices were sour rather than being spicy.. Disappointed...

Went in and all the unoccupied tables had plates on them waiting for cleaning. Asked a waitress to clean a table. Waited 12 minutes. Still not done so we left. Place was filthy and partner stood on piece of glass on floor on way out. Nandos The Base needs to be bought out by someone who cares about customer service and cleanliness and has more than one person serving, cleaning and waiting tables.
