Love the private, quiet atmosphere present in Momento cafe. Quality baristas produce top class service. The food here is excellent. Call in next time you visit to the hospital. Located beside the Pembroke Street car park behind the bus stop. The café is wheelchair friendly. I would recommend the selection of different slices. Absolutely divine.

Simple and nice flat white coffee and delicious white choc with macadamia cookie. Conveniently located in front of the hospital, ideal for those waiting for assistance or just passing by. The problem is when you need a sip of coffee after 5, because it shuts down at 5. Perhaps extending to 9pm could boost the revenue a little. Heaps of seating and a comfy coach makes it a great place to relax as well.

I really enjoyed lunching here. The food is tasty and the menu quite varied. People are always very friendly and helpful.
Acoustics are not great, so can get noisy when busy. (Don't expect a romantic place) but by far best lunch option in the hospital and environment!

5* because they are the ONLY cafe open on Saturday (everything is shut inside the hospital) Go support them and treat yourself to a nice coffee& scone!

Had salmon eggs benny. Very disappointed for the price. The salmon was so thin at first I thought they had given me bacon. And it had been fried in the pan. Would have been happier if it had been a small fillet or even the thin stuff uncooked. Eggs were firmer than i like. And they were $28.

I was a little bit worried after seeing the mediocre rating but have now had breakfast there twice and am happy to say that the quality of the food is excellent and far surpasses anything I have seen available at any other hospital.
I'd come here to purchase food even if I wasn't at the hospital.

Unfortunately the cabinet food was too expensive for my budget. I know cost of living has arisen but my Superannuation hasn't.. 😔

Nice place but I have to take 1 Star off for not being wheelchair accessible. There's a ditch where the door is that makes it hard to push a wheelchair through without getting stuck. Considering this is across the road from the hospital it seems odd

Pretty average place, with pretty average food. Nothing stood out to us and we most probably won't be back. In a convenient location if you are visiting the hospital.

Dropped in here post hospital visit for some lunch. Corn fritters were bland and floury, and I counted no more then 10 corn kernels in any of my fritters. Salmon on the fritters was cold, and coated in luke warm hollandaise. The worst part was the poached egg which was gluggy, watery and still half uncooked. <br/><br/>Pretty disappointed with this Momento, considering how highly I used to rate the central branch when I was in Hamilton for uni. Their one redeeming quality was their drinks. The peach iced tea and banana smoothie were both great.

I am grateful to this Momento for driving me towards to the diary at bottom of Pembroke St. I was consistently disappointed by the inconsistency and quality of coffee I received here. There seems to be a general apathy towards any of the finer details of coffee making. Over-extraction is standard procedure and actual microfoam or nicely textured milk is a rare treat. For a place that uses it's own Rocket blend, this all seems a mystery. I really wanted to believe Momento would step its game but after years I can only assume they just don't care. Fortunately the quality coffee niche is being filled by the likes of Milk and Honey, Demi Urgos, Rocket, and dare I say... the local dairy.

Had an extremely enjoyable lunch here the other day. The coffee was great, the range of food to choose from was excellent and i loved the bustling atmosphere. It has only been a recent discovery of mine, but so far I'm impressed. Would be good if they had freshly squeezed juices available but perhaps that will become available in the summer.

Terrible service.<br/>Barista takes ages, burns beans, uses full fat milk despite ordering a trim coffee.<br/>Mulitple staff members, but doesn't appear to be a consistent system for getting orders right or coping with large orders.<br/>Have been multiple times, and always leave disappointed.<br/>The hospital deserves better service from a place that charges over $4 for a regular coffee.
