At Koreana I experienced a culinary delight accompanied by warm hospitality. The owners greeted my family with genuine kindness, setting a friendly and inviting atmosphere. The food was exceptional, with a diverse menu showcasing the chef's expertise. Each dish was meticulously prepared, bursting with balanced flavors and fresh, high-quality ingredients. The owners' care for guests made the experience memorable. The restaurant's ambiance was tasteful and cozy. This place is a hidden gem in Hamilton that deserves recognition for its outstanding food and kind-hearted owners. I highly recommend visiting for an unforgettable dining experience.

The place on first impressions is a bit shabby but the food is so good. I'm so glad I looked past the decor and gave this a try. I have the pork BBQ and then came back the next day to have it again it was so delicious. Really good food. Check the pork BBQ.. you get all this for $19.50

Finally I've visited this restaurant)) First thing I was impressed by was the customers waiting for the opening for dinner near the door☺️. The place was really busy, some people waited while the table would be cleaned after leaving ones, so I guess it's anyway good sign.👌 I've ordered beef Bulgogi, it's a bit cheaper here,(17.9 nzd) than in Family House (20nzd), but the portion is much less, and it's served with rice and three korean sides: radish kimchi,whole marinated egg and seaweed😋😋😋, it's enough for one person. The taste was very nice, rich and I liked added veges in bulgogi, it perfectly complemented meat. The sides were tasty as well, it can seem a bit oversalt but I I usually prefer salty, I liked that👌 Overall I recommend this restaurant, good option to try something traditional, I would like to come back to try some positions

Walking in the city center, we decided to try a different food and encountered this Korean restaurant open Sunday evening. It was empty, as most of the restaurants in this time and city. The food though was amazingly delicious! For entrance there was this set of small dishes accompanied with spring rolls. Then we ordered chicken with special Korean sauce, came crispy and fresh. Also rice with mushroom. Place is comfortable, they share the toilet with the hotel next door. Price is very good for a family of 5. Worth trying other dishes of them in the next visit.

By far the best korean food ive had so far, food was amazing and so good, toilets were nice and clean and the atmosphere was amazing i absolutely loved everything about this place

Don’t underestimate this great little spot! The food is 20/10 and really a steal for its price. If anything, you have to go there to try the dumplings, the generous portions make it a meal of its own. It’s evident that it’s owned by people who love what they do. I’ll definitely be back, thank you so much!

Great service, waitress was very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and the portion sizes were well worth the price. Their Korean style chicken is so good! Highly recommend :)

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this great Korean restaurant. Their Korean chicken is the best in town. The portion is served generously and their bibimbap is awesome too. Great option when you’re craving for a Korean fix!

Intimidate and sparce. Good food without the awful inflated prices of western food. Asian cuisine with a free freeing of enjoying food with flavor. It wasnt full and it was nice to see clean tables that doesnt rely on decor to make it feel a certain way. Food was really nice. Hot chicken and rice cakes greasy and hot. Soju and asahi beer. Nice mixes of flavor that are nice and filling. Service was polite and mannered. I hope to go back again to try more.

First time to try this place and it was sooooooooo good. Me and my friend love the food that we ordered. Highly recommended this place. We’ll surely be back but with a larger group. The owner was very friendly as well.

Food was really good and served hot. Reasonable price, definitely come back and will try rice wine( Makgeoli)

Been here 10+ times, and every time the quality are so consistent and tasty. I can say they probably got the best Jajangmyeon in New Zealand!! (Their fish raw soup is pretty damn good too).

Delicious kimchi fried rice! Nice staff. I enjoyed the Korean music playing in the background. The whole menu looks delicious!

Best korean place. My family has been eating here for over a decade. The 3 we always get is the black bean noodles, spicy seafood noodles and the sweet and spicy chicken. Haven't found anywhere else that does them as good as here. Even the stew/soups are good. The price is normal compared to other korean restaurants in New Zealand.

Enjoyed my dinner there the food was wonderful staff were friendly and it was served to me quite fast.

I have had food from here for my birthday and going to order again LOVE the Korean style Fried Chicken it is a bomb! as a fan of Kdrama watching it on tv I got to experience it here. It is good quality food ! give it ago

Came here for lunch and ordered a set menu for 2 and included the black bean noodles and seafood noodle soup. The noodles are really well done, nice and chewy! Great spot for lunch!

3.5/5 Taste<br/>3/5 Display <br/>1.5/5 Quantity <br/>3.5/5 Customer Service<br/><br/>Average Korean Restaurant in Hamilton CBD<br/><br/>Pretty disappointing really.<br/>For many years this place had been a great place to drop by whilst travelling around North Island.<br/>This was the only place that sold Korean cross Chinese style black bean sauce noodles “Ja jang myun” in entire Waikato region. <br/>I decided to try this place with my family friends to bring back good old memories and we got slammed with noodles small enough to barely feed a kid whilst we ordered extra large. <br/>I’d say the taste was alright but I believe i’m writing a poor review because my expectation was too high. <br/>Probably because I had great experiences before or because of how Hamilton has really nice Chinese restaurants now. <br/>I believe everyones noticed that there are a LOT of Chinese Restaurants in Hamilton now. Chinese Restaurants kept opening in Hamilton and they have been competing each other for a long time forcing them to improve their standards whilst Korean Restaurants just stood still. <br/>I truely hope my next visit will be better than last.<br/>

This is the best Korean Restaurant I have been to, I love the Jja jang myun 🤤😍 Great customer service too! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to people who want to try something new and authentic like the Korean and Chinese dishes that they serve here ☺️

Been here with friends for her birthday and for dinner few times. I like jajangmyeon. It is the best here. Kimchi soup is ok. Will come back for sure.

The app said the address is 85 Collingwood street but it was #1. I had to call the restaurant and asked for a direction after wandering around.<br/>Pork cutlet was okay but fried chicken was very disappointing because it was just fried bones and sauce. Not much meat.

Awesome food here guys!!! It is a fusion of korean n chinese cuisine and it just hits the spot. For a big eater like me, the portion size is great (Large means LARGE). Taste, presentation n ambience all work together to give you a great dining experience. The service is very prompt and all the servers have a smile on their faces and are very attentive. I have been there few times now and have never been disappointed. We usually go for Gang pung Gi (chicken n korean red sauce with capsicum), Sweet n sour pork, Chicken fried rice and Jeng Jung Jja Jang Myun (noodles in black bean sauce n seafood, bit on the spicy side) and all the dishes were full of flavour. Not to forget the lil condiments you get with you meal which includes kimchi, daikon raddish pickle n coleslaw. If you are in Hamilton and looking for asian food with a difference, then this is the place to go.
