Review Xiang Style Restaurant - Hamilton

We liked the sautéed beef with black fungus and the spicy chicken (turns out that you get the chicken pieces in a heap of fried chillies. We did not eat the chillies as they are extremely spicy and it turned out they were not meant to be eaten). We had those with one portion of rice which turned out to sufficient for both of us.

Fantastic Chinese food. Has the home cooked feel to it, not too salty, not too oily, cooked like how you'd cook for family. There's a lack of service due to staffing levels, but the flavours are worth the wait and patience. Once ordered food arrives quickly. Menu is in English and Mandarin, main spoken language is Mandarin. Price is great too. Easy parking on the street, 120min free.

Love it. Traditional Chinese cuisines with original taste. Don't expect fancy looks and fancy setup and you'll enjoy the food.

Best Chinese spot in Hamilton. Fresh vegetables and great choice of spicy dishes. Excellent value for money. Quite basic interior but you go here for the food and not the atmosphere.

We found this one by wondering around the city and did some basic check on google and gave it a go. It was a surprisingly good choice, food was delicious, speciality the fried rice with egg, pork and chives. Great value for the quality. Tea is complimentary and tasty. Closes at 9pm on sundays. Will come back soon.

The best Chinese restaurant in Hamilton! Nice spicy food very delicious. The only day I don’t come to eat is Tuesday. Only because they are closed on Tuesday lol! It’s not like Sichuan food which is just spicy, the food of Xiang style is more focused on flavor and taste. Highly recommend!

Good simple food. Slightly slow service because of short staff. Not a deal breaker.

It’s my favourite Chinese restaurant in Hamilton. I think it’s the most authentic Chinese food taste, love the spicy flavour that I missed from china. I’ve been keeping coming as long as I live here.

Great place for authentic Hunan style food with spicy flavour. Food are unbeatable level of delicious, only one staff attend to whole restaurant so he can be bit busy. The only suggestion is the ventilation need to be improved as the place inside can get a bit smokey, but too cold if keep the door open.
