I had a scoop of chips, 6 muscles, and a tarakihi burger. All of it was just perfect. The chips were golden, soft and fluffy but crispy with a good amount of salt, the muscles had a light airy batter which tasted clean and fresh. The tarakihi burger was simple yet delived a great flavour and taste and sometimes that is exactly what you need.
I will definitely recommend and be back if I am in the area.

Stopped in for a vege chow mein while staying overnight in Hamilton. The dish was nicely prepared with fresh veges and plenty of flavor. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back when I am in town again.

Consistently great food. Canton Takeaways seems to have been there forever. Really enjoy their chicken chop suey, steak fried rice, and sweet 'n sour pork or sweet' n sour wontons. Always a friendly and attentive service.

Delicious sweet N sour wonton with fried rice. Fast friendly service and good prices only 10 minutes walk from the hospital. Huge menu too. I would go back again!

The burger and fish and chips were okay (although some of the lettuce on my burger was a bit rotten) and the chinese food was bad. Ordered chicken fried rice and chicken cashew nut and the chicken in both those dishes was disgusting, the pieces were all brown and had a weird texture to them, had to check several times if it was even cooked as it felt like it was raw when chewing it. The rice was just mushy. Overall waste of money.

Some of the best fish and chips in Hamilton. Really nice crispy light fish, delicious chips and their crab sticks are fantastic. Great service, super friendly people and reasonable prices! Definitely my go to, would highly recommended.

Lovely food well cooked nice service. Menu items are priced differently as listed in 'menu' i have tried to upload photos of the current menu but I cant see them anywhere. Just be aware that everything is around 1.50 more expensive than advertised.

Bbq pork meal with rice bok choy and a little garlic sauce all for $6.50 worth the money for 1 person they have others but the Bbq pork adds a lot of flavour.. They have duck and roast pork flavours also have nothing bad to say about this place

Canton Takeaways does good cheap food for the masses. They are open from 11.30am till 10pm and make great cheap packs and excellent Chinese food. The staff are friendly and though the place could use a tidy up and a lick of paint I still found the food to be just what I needed to fill the gap. I have heard that they intend to open early from next month to do a breakfast menu, and I believe they are also adding more choice to their existing menu.<br/>Good feed, cheap price A1 from me :-)
