So glad I found a good Hong Kong takeaway shop !! As a Hong Konger, I approve of this place ! Their deep fried eggplant was so worth it ! huge portions too !! Their 干炒牛河 stir fried beef noodles were good too, the noodles were not soggy or over stirred fried like some Chinese takeaways.
I can’t comment on their fish chip menu, but I would recommend trying their Chinese dishes than a burger and chips.

I always go there for wonton soup when I have cravings for it, it’s good but wish they had it with noodles however this takeaway has a great range of food for the whole whanau

I ordered the 3-roast meat combination (roast duck, roast pork and BBQ pork) and they were amazing! They cost me $25, which was reasonable given the amount I got (the gap in pic was because we'd indulged before snapping the pic). Agreed with the other reviewers, a perfect place for a quick scrumptious takeaway, and the owners were also courteous and friendly!

Bought several dishes 27 Jan 2023 after watching a youtube video highly recommending this place. I was not disappointed! The chicken fried rice was exceptional. Steak and ginger vegetables was too! The vegetables are delicately sliced and prepared and the steak was beautiful tender and juicy! The menu is extensive and they ask you your spice level. Prices are up but so is everywhere. Portion sizes are very good. Restaurant quality food! Thank you New Star! Next time I am in Hamilton I will definitely be stopping in.

Delicious food, generous portions at reasonable prices. The roast pork was to die for, sweet & sour pork was awesome, and the chilli spicy squid was great! Really friendly owners and cooks, I highly recommend this small and honest business serving great Chinese meals in Hamilton.

We ordered the sweet and sour pork, chop suey, and yangzhou pork on Uber eats, and I must say it was very good. Im not sure how the service is as I didn't physically go to the store.
The only critique on the food would be the sweet and sour pork was alittke chewy but other than that it was very good.
