Review Rustic Cafe & Tapa's Bar - Hanmer Springs

Very popular, jam packed, we had to wait a bit to be seated, service was a little slow and lacked a little warmth but it’s understandable given how busy they are, food is good, we came in brunch time so got both breakfast stuff and tapas for lunch, great portion size, drinks are also nice, overall a pretty good experience.

We were recommended this place by a family member who had been here. Food was lovely, well presented and generous serving. I had the corn cakes and bacon, bacon was cooked perfectly. Loved the serving of fruit on the plate too, hubby had big breakfast and couldn’t finish it. Service was fantastic staff friendly. Will be back 😁

We were nicely greeted as we seated. Well priced menu and they were all lovely, nicely seasoned and we presented. Nice and cosy place for a lovely breakfast. Shout out to all the crew, they we’re all attentive and so friendly.

Came in on a Sunday morning with a group of 9 and had no issues getting seated. Staff were friendly and the food was great. It didn't take too long for the food to arrive and the smoothie was great as well. Well priced.

This little place has delicious food, very generous portions and super friendly staff. Friend stated the best Mocca she had in a long time! Will definitely be coming again!

We’ve eaten here twice so far and both times the food has been delicious. Highly recommend the wedges. Coffee was good and even satisfied the fussy palate of my husband. He snuck off here for breakfast while we swam and reckons it was delicious. They were busy today but let us know how long food might be before we ordered which was really appreciated. Would definitely come back for another meal.

Rustic cafe is our favourite restaurant at Hanmer and the most recent visit was another confirmation why! We were there for lunch on Queen’s Birthday. We had vegetarian club sandwich, which was made freshly for us, was immense, tasty and satisfying. We had also ordered garlic bread loaf. But we couldn’t finish the two items between the two of us, and had to bring a garlic loaf home. The pot of tea was also large enough for two persons, and more. We were fortunate to meet Stacey, who co-owns the place. Today, once again, it was clear why Rustic Cafe was our preferred place for food at Hanmer Springs.

We went for brunch on a busy Saturday morning and like most hospitality places in Hanmer they are currently struggling with staff shortages. They were amazing! The staff were under the pump but they were still polite and friendly, the barista was a machine getting coffee after coffee out (and it tasted good). Husband loved his breakfast, crispy hash browns and bacon. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely delish place, had the pancakes and french toast, great value very worth the money. Had heaps of fruit on each, fresh cream and yummy iced chocolates! Staff were lovely and super friendly. Overall definitely the place I would reccomend for a great breakfast.

Wonderful breakfast at Rustic. Service was excellent. Prices very reasonable and the food is amazing! Generous servings of fresh beautifully cooked food. Big breakfast includes sausages and mushrooms (hidden under all the other food in the photo). Mugs of coffee are very large. Std cups available too. Wines spiririts and cocktails are also available and reasonably priced. Irish coffee is great!

We came here for lunch and got a very generous sized portion of nachos. Very nicely presented and fresh. Only negative was that the bathroom was quite unclean.

Early start and this lovely bar and Cafe was ready with delicious coffee and hot chocolate. Great service and the muffins were warm and wonderful. 2 happy customers aged 9 and 12 said it was the best cafe they had been to. High praise. Lovely friendly staff. Seating inside and out. Great menu and happy customers tucking in to big breakfasts. Good prices. On maim street. Easy to find . At moment hours are 7 to 3pm . Longer hours in summer.

Always a delight eating at a location where the team are openly happy, and great food to go with it. Great selection of GFO too. May you keep delighting your customers.

Thought I was just getting regular nachos and my wife got a burger and a side of fries... The food was way more surprising then we thought. The flavors went above and beyond our expectations... Absolutely delicious AA++
