Review The Roasted Bean - Hanmer Springs

We went to the cafe/restaurant 3 times during our 3 days trip in hanmer springs. They're a cafe in the morning/afternoon; a pizza restaurant in the evening. We have 2 lunches and 1 dinner there. For lunch, we ordered from their usual menu as well as Keto menu, both are tasty. Highly recommend their halloumi fries and cauliflower tempura; their portion are very generous, too. For dinner, we ordered pizza with keto base (They use Home St pizza base). They are good, but nothing special.

Went in for brunch and was great. I got the waffles+bacon+banana plus a side of eggs and rosti because I couldn't choose between sweet and savory. My partner waited 10mins after my meal though and we had to ask someone for her granola. I'm not too sure if it's pre prepared but looks like it shouldn't take longer than bigger brunch meals that were getting sent out in reasonable time (10-15mins)

Look for the 2for1 pizza deal and they are pretty good. We loved the basic pizza you can get in this deal and I wish they still let you have this deal for the gourmet pizzas as well. Oh well, can’t win them all.

Really bubbly and nice customer service, the waffles might be the best I've ever had in my life - they weren't dry like most places usually make them and they didn't skimp on the maple syrup. Would definitely recommend the waffles if you love sweet food. The hot chocolate treat was also really good, I got the Ferrero Rocher hot chocolate and it tasted exactly like Ferrero Rocher! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone going to Hanmer Springs.

Had a nice breakfast stop here. Staff very welcoming. Great granola and big breaky. Coffee was on point. Pet friendly too which is always welcome.

High stars for service. The girl is very friendly and made for customer service. Drinks were great. Food on the other hand was average. Waffles were not fresh and too soggy and sugary but that's what I get for eating sugar in the morning so give it a miss if you want fluffy simple waffles.

Gourmet pizzas are amazing (with the stuffed crust too), fresh delicious base with generous real quality toppings. Definitely our new regular when we're in Hanmer- wish we could get pizzas this good in Christchurch! Great customer service and prompt delivery too (20min from ordering to arrival)! Thank you for a fantastic meal :)

We ordered six pizzas last night for our family. We chose the Traditional pizzas (we tried every flavour). We were not disappointed! They were ready really quickly. We would definitely recommend and we will return in the future. Especially great on a Friday night with their 'two for one' special. Sadly we did not think to take a photo.

Fantastic service. Had takeawaycoffee there tis morning before hitting the hotpools. Only place on town we could get a table immediately (Super Rugby final was on) and we were very glad that's how it worked out. Pizzas are incredibly good. Great wine list too. Definitely recommend.

Started from the bubbly Liza making me feel very welcome. The good was quick to arrive. Prices initially i thought they were on part with a highish bracket but once the meals arrived, boy they were well worth the money for sure. Massive meals, beautifully cooked, eggs were perfect too. The Waffles are quite a heavy type of Waffle, not the normal light, so very filling meal, still yummy though. Great food, great service, great coffee, great prices!

Ordered 3 pizzas each one alittle different. person on the phone made sure to read each pizza back to make sure it was correct. delivery person was fast and friendly well worth ordering will be getting another one next time we up this way

We dropped in for brunch; we really enjoyed our food. The coffee roasting machine was rather noisy (hence my 4 stars), otherwise it was great. Very interesting to see the keto/carb-conscious menu options.
