Review Pukeko Store And Cafe - Harihari

Been on the road and came past this place. Friendly service, lots of choices of food and good coffee and hot chocolate. Plenty of i door and outdoor seating. The veggie quiche was superb as was the carrot cake. Do yourself a favour and stop here.

Lovely, local, roadside cafe. Warmest welcome, tasty toasties, huuuuge cheese scones and a great selection of pies. The neighbour’s huge cat is a wonderfully friendly furry attraction. Support good local businesses - especially those trying hard with an honest offering.

Good place for a pit stop. Espresso was strong and slightly on acidic side. Cream cake was alright, there’s plenty others to choose from. Grumpy looking cat provides extra entertainment.

A great place to sit down and enjoy a coffee and fresh baked goodies. Open air atmosphere with a lovely patio. The sausage and egg pie was fabulous! Very friendly staff. If you are camping at nearby Ross Beach and want to get on the road early, skip making breakfast at camp and just wait to get it here. It's worth it!

Great spot to stop while driving along the west coast. We didn’t get any food, but there were lots of options for hot food, cold cold, baked goods or some grocery needs.

This is a great stopping point from driving! It is a general store (cat food, sandwiches, coffee, even WINE!). The WIFI is decent here if you need to get online to check go anything . Music selection is good/relaxing/background. Lots of seating. Prices are about average ($4-$5 for coffee). We enjoyed ourselves here for at least 30 minute break from the windy roads. Parking is good on both sides of the roads.

This was the first place we stopped on our way from Franz Josef Glacier to Greymouth. It's a beautiful little cafe and they have a few options for vegetarians, but i felt the quantity did not just the price. If you are a pure vegetarian, just check to see if the items contain egg. This place has free wifi.

This place has improved a lot since we visited last year. A nice outdoor eating area now. I hear through the grapevine that a liquor licence is in the wings. The whitebait sandwich was yummy, nice size pattie. Coffee was excellent, even when we asked for Machiato it was no problem. Pies looked homemade, 3 out of 5 for those, a little more meat please. The rest of the cabinet food was high quality. We will be back, recommended.

Stopped in to break up the journey. Divine pies 😋, fabulous coffee and cute Scottish blue cat that enjoyed a pat.

Great place to stop for a bite to eat when heading along the west coast. Try their chips - best we’ve had in all of New Zealand 👌🏼

Surprisingly good pie. 7/10. Sausage roll was average. Chips were decent. Friendly staff. Would return.

20 dec. Hoping that there would be a good cafe on road to F Josef and this place was it. Superb flat white and delicious coconut cake. If only there were more stops on the road like this.

Our first visit on a day when desperate for good coffee. Delightful hosts and interesting food options. Great coffee also made our morning stopover. So good we stopped again on return journey

As a regular traveller between Nelson and Queenstown, this is one of my favourite stops - fresh home-baked food, excellent coffee, and friendly service. Recommended!
