What a great place! We went for dinner with our toddler at 5pm. Great service from staff. Lovely cocktails and mocktails. Tasty food. Interesting decor! There was even a highchair and our toddler loved the cheesy corn!

Amazing Asian fusion with atmosphere! If your in Hastings and you don't come here... you've made a poor life choice.

So yum! Love the freshly my bao and cocktails, not to mention the long list of side dishes. The tofu bao was amazing, but be aware you need to ask for the vegan menu. Wish they just had the tofu bao on their regular menu to avoid the hassle of asking. Meal for 2 people with drinks was 90, very reasonable.

Very nice place! Great comfort street food, very well thought out. I thought the prices were ok, maybe a bit high for the portions but it was very good. Service was excellent, and the ambience was really cool. There is a garden bar coming soon, we will definitely come back to see that.

Delicious food with many vegan & vegetarian options. Have been here many times over the years & always enjoy the space. Love how it has been extended into the store next door. Tasty food.

Our waiter was so knowledgeable in terms of the menu. The food was super tasty, and fresh. Prices were good, and atmosphere was great. We were here with teenagers, we know how fussy they can be, but Funbuns was a hit with them too.

Staff were so awesome and explained the menu with great humour. Food was absolutely incredible. Could not recommend any higher!!

Now you can book a table it makes for a great venue for a meal out.Their teapots are well worth trying and good value we felt.The funbuns are superb and the sharing plates are worth trying altho as expected some we enjoyed more than others.If you havent been before, try!

Just had our first time at Fun Buns and wowza! Super tasty food, just the right portion sizes, fizzing atmosphere and kick-as cocktails! We’ve found my new favorite Hawke’s Bay restaurant and definitely will be back! Sadly I ate everything before thinking about photographing the delish food. Fun Buns for life!!!!

Waited ages to get a meal here and it was 100% worth the hype. Every course was delish with good menu guidance from the waitstaff & savoured every sip of my mocktail too. Thanks for the meal & good vibes.

Can't fault the staff,food,drinks and environment. The staff are all very passionate about what they do. The food is so yum. Just a great place to go.

Friendly and welcoming crew that totally eased our first time visit and giving recommendations that were cool. Before we settled in, food was pumping out. Awesome as I hate long waits. Food was delisioso! Full of flavour and portions were bang on as I like to eat alot! Baos .... yum! Yum! Yum! Highly recommend this place for group outing and sharing kai.

Great place. The atmosphere was great. Staff were super friendly. Food was exceptional. Drink list was big, but not too big. We timed it well, because we had the place nearly to ourselves. Overall, a really good experience.

Can't want to return! Really busy, even on a Wednesday night, staff very helpfully still found somewhere for us to sit! Food was awesome, we all loved everything we tried! Service was also fast which was great as we had a movie to get to. Dave the barman was great, cocktails looked amazing :) planning the next visit!

Epic!!! Friendly staff, it was really busy but the food arrived quickly and was hot and fresh and super delicious. Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu.
