Incredible culinary experience. 100 % vegaterian menu. No meat. OMG Vegan, and gluten free options well. Number 87 is my current favourite. Chefs secret sauce is magic. Authentic Indian food cuisine. No imposter spices or ingredients here. Well presented in vessels that retain heat. Plates heated as well. The only gripe is that decor atmosphere does not match the food....

I have been here a few times over the last couple of years since moving to Hastings. The Vegan eggplant curry is sensational - a must try if you're looking for dairy free / non-meat options. Great online ordering system, extensive menu and fast service. It's my go to restaurant for Indian food.

Decent place for an Indian meal, the only spot in hawkes bay to have Chat/Indian street food items. They also do indian sweets.

The food is delicious!!!!!!!! Will definitely come back for takeaways. However, there is no music so there is not really an atmosphere. And it advertises a full license and byo, but they don't use their license so don't actually do byo. I would advise covering that up on the menus :) The food really is so good though, so we'll definitely be back

Fantastic food, great value and friendly staff. My husband is partially deaf and had trouble hearing our over the music but he was incredibly patient with us. Would definitely recommend, we are considering bringing the kids next time for a 'semi-sophisticated' night out. Loved it.

Very first place where I got original taste of street food which I had in India and can't explain the happiness of getting Indian sweets...... The place is already added to my most favorite list and definitely visit again & again as so many dishes & sweets left to try...... So so so happy with taste. Love the behavior of staff and customer serviceπŸ™‚

Finally a vegetarian indian restaurant to call mine. It's a day to day restaurant, so don't wait for anything fancy. Their curry is delicious. As entree I always ask for the samosa chaat and a mango lassi. The mattar paneer is to die for.

Well this is one place that has always passed the corner of my eye and after a while finally got to try this place.
You enter into a decent spacing dinning hall with average but comfy seatings....the menu was quite vivid.....it had all the items which u would find in other restaurants along with their specials.
The food is of sufficient quantity and is pleasing in taste. The food is off good produce, smells and feels fresh and rich with flavour.
To top it all they also have dosa for those south Indians craving for a homely touch and all sorts of sweets for the sweet tooths.
Along with that you also get chaat for those searching for spice and mix (like me).
The service is friendly, patient and helpful. And the food, oh! The food!! Best, most "authentic" meal I've had outside of India itself (and Indian Sweets and Snacks in Newtown, Wellington)...

Nom, nom, nom! Will SO be back!!

We had the most amazing Indian meal tonight at Indian Sweets, Snacks & Restaurant Hastings. The restaurant title belies it's real purpose although it does do Indian sweets. I highly recommend this little restaurant, they take great pride in their food and many Indians eat there, always a good sign.
