The presentation and exceptional taste of our meals was worth the wait. Living up to the cafe name. Absolutely devine!

A comprehensive and wonderfully original menu that's only flaw is truly spoiling you for delicious choice. We ordered the lamb skewers, which were tender and beautifully seasoned. The Lari chicken sandwich was likewise very delicious, and with the optional peri peri sauce packed just the right amount of heat. Both meals were very filling, and I'd happy order either if them again. Coffees were very good, but to be excellent the flatwhite would need a little more punch. Your tastes might be different however. Service was flawless, and the outdoor seating made the most of the winter sun. Highly recommended.

Food was excellent and the price was reasonable. Just took a long time to get a menu and order for lunch.

A charming inner Hastings discovery. Lovely old converted ‘cottage’ with clean and tidy inside and, (sheltered) verandah outside, tables. Extensive, non pretentious menu with some interesting ‘finds’ such as beef cheeks … yum! Adequate wine selection by glass or bottle. Staff ‘smiley’ and professional … but perhaps a little TOO MANY (4) ‘everything ok?’ enquiries. Well priced …by today’s ‘expensive everything in NZ standard’.

Visiting town for the night and they squeezed in our large group last minute with no fuss. Food was absolutely amazing!! The power went out as we were served but the staff didn't bat an eyelid and managed to get the last dish out despite the technical interuption. Dining in the dark even made for an ambient dining experience! Thank you!

Had a lovely, first time visit here yesterday for friends b.day Rang ahead to check if ok to bring a B.day cake. Very obliging, and was told no problems. Dropped it off ahead of time and the placed in chiller for us. While not the flashiest of places, a nice comfortable place and atmosphere. ALL meals ordered were beautifully presented, and fantastic. Good sizes without being too big/ too small. Pricing very GOOD Staff very good, THANKS for great hospitality I'd go back😊

Friendly staff, good was food. Nice outdoor seating. Didn’t have all ingredients available. Took quite a while for meals to arrive. Thanks for taking the delayed pizza off the ledger.

Excellent from the moment I called to book 39 people in. Fantastic customer service from Jack and Sonny. All 39 meals were were delicious and they accommodated all of our changes and dietary requirements- nothing was a problem . Highly recommend!! Thanks team at Devine you guys were awesome 👍

Great intimate dinning experience. Ordered the grilled & fried platters, didnt take long & the food was delicious with a great variety to choose from. Nice Service staff very polite! Highly reccomend this cafe!
