Review Alessandro's - Havelock North

This place exceeded all of our dining expectations. It was a packed night and we had 9 people in our group. Our first time here and was beyond impressed at the waitstaff (the best I've ever come across!) who somehow managed to get all of our orders and drinks down to a tee by memory, super friendly, confident, attentive and just overall amazing. We had a mix of the entree, pizza and pasta mains and then somehow managed to squeeze in desserts which we were stoked that we got as they were just as good. The whole night was one of the top dining experiences we have all had in a long time. Thank you thank you Alessandro staff, chef, all. Ngā mihi mahana ki a koutou katoa x

Visiting from Canada and a very big fan of traditional Italian Wood fired pizza. This restaurant was very authentic and as good as I’ve had anywhere in the world.

If you are looking for an Authentic Italian restaurant Alessandro's is the best option! Their pizza is Devine, a real Italian Pizza. The stuff is welcoming with a warm attitude, and the service is amazing . Highly recommended.

The establishment has only gone upwards since it moved to Joll road. Very good atmosphere. The restaurant is lit up brilliantly from the outside and has a very Italian feel ok the inside. Our server was polite and always arrived at the right time to order and deliver the food. We had a large-ish group of 8 people and were served in a timely fashion. The food was fantastic and very good price for what we got. The pizzas taste authentic and are exactly as described on the menu. I will certainly go here again.

Authentic Napoletana pizza. The lasagna and other pasta dishes are delicious too. Great atmosphere. I'd totally recommend the Nutella pizza for dessert, you'll be surprised. Nice drinks variety

Good food. Good ambience. Would come back here for the pizza. The crust was just the right texture and thickness. We had the Neapolitan. A little too salty with the anchovies. My husband and I took some of them out but it might be a preference thing… I would prefer if the pizza didn’t have too many toppings. It makes it too complicated and too many different flavors going on. However, I was still pleasantly surprised by how the pizza bread turned out so I would definitely come back and try the other pizzas on the menu. Tiramisu was also not too bad. Most importantly, the servers here were very friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth the drive all the way from napier for dinner :)

Lovely & friendly staff, will recommend according to your needs & what type of flavor you like 🥰 Pizza is specials & tasty But the penne pasta just so-so...

Quick and delicious, staff really kind. Quality ingredients for a great meal. They stick well with their slogan: respect the craft. Good atmosphere, particularly at night 😊

Food was great and decor/atmosphere felt very authentic Italian. The woodfired pizza was the perfect amount of chewy and toasted, with that classic wood char. Would recommend highly if you are looking for a nice date night venue or just a midweek indulgence.

Brilliant, relaxed, great service, and exceptional food. Pizza bread and toppings are so light and full of flavour... And don't skip the deserts.

Just finished at Alessandro's pizzeria, best pizza we have had in New Zealand our waitress fantastic and loved the raw industrial decor with great music definitely will be back.

We love it at Alessandro's, it's a great little place. The pizzas are just so tasty, as is the rocket salad. And of course we have to have tiramisu for dessert every time we come. Lovely atmosphere and friendly, efficient staff. Five stars from us!

Bellisimo, at last an authentic pizzeria in Havelock North. Fabulous authentic pizzas and desserts, great wine menu and excellent service. Best pizzas in New Zealand, we are in heaven!
