Review Hawthorne Coffee - Havelock North

Amber Lamana
We stayed in the area for a week and found this on day two. The best coffee hands down in the Hawkes Bay Area - and one of the best we’ve had in NZ. We went 5 times and it was consistently banging each time. Dog friendly, good service, lovely staff and amazing coffee. I’ve had a string of average oat milk flat whites and here they were so good. Pastries also delicious! We rate this as top notch!

Huge shout out to Elise in dispatch. Such a pleasure to deal with. Helped me pick the my beans. Coffee is absolutely incredible and now converted to Hawthorne. Look forward to checking them out in person next time in HB.

Best coffee in Hawkes Bay! It was a busy Saturday morning when we went but the coffee came quick and was superb! So good that I had to buy beans for Auckland and hunted them down on Sunday at the Farmers Market!

Cute little shop. They don't do flavoured shots so for all you caramel/vanilla latte lovers, may be best to steer clear. Amazing cabinetry food options. Such a cute rustic charm. It is a bit on the small side but it has outdoor seating which saves it. Coffee was delish. I'll be back.

Very pleased to find a great selection of Cafe food available as this didn't seem to be the case 4 or 5 months ago. Coffee superb as always but my biggest tick goes to the staff who were so smiley, friendly and helpful.

Fantastic coffee! Only wish they were open later. But great coffee spot!

Kia ora Hawthorne Coffee Roasters. Such an amazing vibe. One of the most beautiful cafes/roasteries I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. Staff are all so friendly, very knowledgeable which is great when visiting a place like this. Im a barista and I always appreciate having a yawn with the staff and making friends through coffee. The fresh baking on the counter looked, smelt and tastes beautiful. Best enjoyed with a beautiful espresso based coffee or ask the staff what's good on filter!! I had a long black and a filter. My beautiful wife had a coconut flat white followed by a bacon and cheese scroll and a brown sugar scroll!! Come on now!!

This is the best Coffee Roastery in Hawkes Bay. Visiting Hawthorne is a cross between visiting your best friends while enjoying the perfect factory experience at the source where Hawthorne Coffee is roasted right in the heart of Havelock North.

One of the best hot chocolate I've had. Most are too sweet but this one was perfect.

Having moved here and tried almost every cafe in the village for coffee with not knowing where to go, we can definitely say this is absolutely the best coffee in Havelock North! All of the staff are always really smiley and friendly and welcoming, and they are lovely to our children too which we really appreciate. Definitely recommend Hawthorne Coffee :)

Not too many cafe can make a clear distinguished between flat white and latte, but this is the one can make it with their own roast coffee beans. comfortable place to sit and have a chat with friends🤗, and the French bakery are sooooo yum!!! Surprise for the cold brew coffee, really nice to have that in summer😍

I first tried Hawthorne Coffee at the Hawke's Bay Farmers Market, and while the wait was super long, it was worth it. Their coffee is creamy, delicious and smells out of this world. I also picked up two bags of their coffee to take home, which is priced at $10 a packet - usually $13-$13.50 online!

A few days later, we stopped by their cafe after exploring Te Mata Peak. The coffee, again, was perfect. Now, back in Auckland, I'm enjoying their plunger coffee at home, and it smells and tastes heavenly.
Yum Yummy
I went to this place last week.
Easy to find the shop and also easy to find a spot to park a car nearby.
Good ambient, nice and relaxing. I had a flatwhite, tasted great, I also enjoyed their GF chocolate cake with pecan. I would love to come back again if I have chance and very recommended:)
