Review Curry India - Havelock North

Sorry for not taking photos before we started our dinner, the food was delicious and I loved every bite, hence the half eaten meals, 10/10 thanks to the chef and lovely waitress that served us , she couldn’t do enough for us, will we be back ? Most definitely , highly recommend the restaurant

The food here is absolutely amazing, so much so that we take weekly. The Indian hot is an absolute must do as you still taste the fabulous flavors while sweat runs down your face. 😂

I never write reviews but just wanted to thank you guys for the best service I’ve ever had. I can’t have dairy and soy and they were so understanding and accommodating. The curry’s were on point, absolutely amazing. Thanks so very much.

We had a perfect dinner with amazing food, service and a nice atmosphere. The service was extremely friendly and pleasant without being overwhelming. The food and drink selection was top notch. The food presentation was very nice in small metal bowls and everything was prepared fresh. The pricing was very fair for a very high quality food. Both mains and deserts were very tasty and something special. There are offerings for menus for a minimum of 4people which looked to have a great variety. Overall a perfect experience with absolutely nothing to criticise! If you wish to enjoy indian cuisine then this should be on the top of your list.

Found this restaurant to be beautiful and the food is great, however service means a lot to me and adds to my experience a lot and just didn’t find the staff very welcoming or warm compared to other local Indian restaurants. Maybe just having an off day, we are all human after all, but I didn’t feel drawn to come back.

Reservation is recommended, we reserved a table and were seated immediately, the restaurant was quite busy for 6:30pm, and a little noisy. Service was prompt,and friendly. The menu features chef's specials and the regular menu separately, with many options on both. There is a dedicated section for vegetarian options, and dietary restrictions are clearly labeled. The beverage menu features local and imported beers, several options for local wines. We selected main course dishes from both the chef's specials and regular menu lists. The food is excellent! The flavours on point, the garlic naan bread accompanying the meal was delicious as well. All mains are served with steamed basmati rice, the portion size is perfect also. I highly recommend trying Namaskar if you're in the area!

Amazing curries omg to die for although they are quite pricey considering the portion sizes given. Will definitely be going back for more though

Great Authentic Indian served by a lovely family. I've never had meat as tender in a curry. I'll be looking forward to the new restaurant opening just next door in the next few weeks.

Great food, great service, good lunch special. Chicken Korma was delicious, topped off with a Kingfisher beer. Nice ambience and even though it was very busy, they still managed to fit us in. Best Indian for miles around...Will definitely be back.

We were so pleased when this Restaurant opened as we had missed not having an Indian Restaurant nearby.<br/>Well we liked it so much, we are there almost every week!<br/>The service is lovely, they make you feel like family.<br/>The Chef sometimes does something off the menu to surprise us and we have never been disappointed with anything we have had and by now there's not much on the menu we haven't tried (although we are still doing medium strength and haven't progressed to hot yet!)We think the menu has a lot of interesting, different dishes, some really nice vegetarian options and the breads are great, we've tried them all!

Welcoming restaurant with friendly wait staff and lovely Indian themed decoration. Extensive menu. The chef here cooked previously at Flavour of India, and I have followed him here! The takeaway menu is great ($10 for 1/2 curry &amp; rice &amp; naan). <br/><br/>The evening we ate in we enjoyed onion bhaji, chicken tikka masala and a butter chicken. Beautifully cooked and tasty with excellent accompanying rice. Naan breads were excellent. <br/><br/>Great prices, delicious food and lovely atmosphere. Well worth the visit if you haven't already.

Really impressed by this place. Love the food especially the chicken jalfreji and chicken tikka masala. Must say the chef has magic in his hands. Service was excellent and very fast. I am pleased to be the first to review Curry India. It is a smallish and pleasant restaurant which has opened recently in Havelock North. There is a varied menu and the prices are very reasonable. Our mains took a while to arrive but were tasty and plentiful. Well worth a visit.
