Great little cafe in the centre of Havelock North. Helpful and friendly staff, good service and great for gluten free meals. Would recommend:)

Excellent salsa on my nachos. Best I've had. Iced coffee the best as well. My husband only wanted 1 poached egg on 1 toast so should not have been charged price for full breakfast. Very good service and good choice of indoor and outdoor seating.

Friendly staff and great food. Perfect for quick takeaway coffee, quiet break or brunch with friends. We enjoyed a birthday breakfast treat today..

Very friendly service. Tasty quiche with side salad. Coffee was great. My mum is on a dairy free diet, so it would have been nice to have more options. They did do their best and offered a banana that came nicely sliced in a small bowl.

Lovely mid week brunch. Super friendly and very helpful staff when choosing food. Lovely home cooked menu items with a Thai influence. Generous portions.

Yummy food, great range of healthy smoothies, friendly staff. Toys and a change station available for little ones, and dog bowls outside for your 4-legged friends. Food was a bit pricey compared to local bakeries, but totally worth it. My steak pie was filled with meat all through, and the pastry was crisp, buttery and delicious. It came served with sauce, salad and dressing. My toddler downed the smoothie in 3 minutes flat. Our cinnamon scroll was very moist with lots of cinnamon. Outside tables have shade from the sun available.

Nice cafe in havelock, cosy and warm. Staff are friendly and attentive, service was quick and efficient. Coffee was pretty good. Not much to fault but not drastically different to any decent coffee shop.

I've been here a number of times when visiting SHB for "coffee and cake" and have always been impressed with food quality and the coffee. The atmosphere is relaxed with friendly service.

I am surprised at some of the reviews. I guess every place has its good and bad days. We have been popping in for breakfast most Saturdays or Sundays for almost one year. The service has been outstanding and the scrambled eggs and bacon superb. Coffee aint bad either. The place is fresh and clean and all of the older staff we have encountered are friendly, polite and positive. It is only a short hop for us from Napier, and well worth sitting down for brekky prior to a wander round the Farmers Market in Hastings on the way home.

Had a lovely muffin from here, coffee is nice too. Been here a couple of times. I really like the quirky retro feel they are going for :)
The menu is interesting and varied.

Great coffee and feel about the cafe. But, I had a poor food experience where the corn fritters I ordered turned up as deep fried batter capsules. Yuk , I complained to the management, but they just shrugged their shoulders and said that is how hey served them.

Poor experience and as such I would not recommend or go there again.

Went to this cafe on 25.01.2013 service was horrible, my coffee was all over my saucer (guessing it had sat too long or just wasnt carefully brought to me). Food tasted average and had horrid presentation. The decor was messy and mismatched and the place just looked messy and untidy. Staff sat around talking and txting. Won't be returning at all very dissappointed

Best lemon muffin of my life!!

At E's has the best long blacks I have tasted in NZ and as good as the coffee I tasted in Italy. Aaron you are great!
Love the casual atmosphere and food too. Friendly staff. Highly recommend you try this place.

I have recently moved to the Bay and was checking out all the cafes. Liked the relaxed and funky decor so went and had Brunch- the food was really good, green eggs and Ham - different and Delicious. Coffee was ok- but the whole experience was soured by the staff. In a nut shell flat out rude, uninterested, dismissive and really bored. Maybe a bad day??? Who knows? The whole vibe was uneasy..

Another never fail cafe in HB! Fantastic.

Best coffee in Havelock North, I adore their biscotti. Can't rate the service more highly. Even planning a birthday celebration there next month, with guests from all over NZ. Aaron is so helpful, with great suggestions for the evening. The liquor licence should be approved by then.
