Review Kai At The Peak - Havelock North

We were enjoying our Sunday in Napier before we realised how late that it was getting, we called the Peak House to make sure that they were open. We would be arriving an hour before they closed. So they asked if we’d want to them to take our order so they could have it ready upon our arrival!!!!! How fantastic and amazing is that? The service, food, wine, views and weather were outstanding. Thank you to the staff!!!!!!

As shown in the photos that it was almost packed when my partner and I arrived and that the food was okay and that there were dogs there as seems to me it's a dog friendly café. Service was great as they were friendly and helpful along with the smiles and friendly advice on where to go next. I had a grilled fish salad yet for the price was a bit dear as had only a small amount of the small white fish they put in the fish. My bf had a breakfast burger that was reasonably priced along with his usual order of his flat white.

Beautiful restaurant on Te mata peak.. Warm and friendly staff. Lovey menu for some energy to help you tackle the Peak. The view is exceptional and you can sit outside enjoy your brunch, lunch while taking in the exceptional view. There is a way to get up there without the walk if being sweaty at the table. Take the family, drive up have lunch, they have a garden/play area for little ones to run around. Check it out, stunning

Fab place for coffee or lunch. Great view over the sea and land from The Mata Peak. Good vegan/vegetarian options and without a doubt the best cheese scones in the area ( I'm told as I don't eat them) but they look perfect.

Great service, view and atmosphere, makes for a great stop after viewing the peak of the Te mata The dishes we had were great, but my kids Pasta was a little uncooked and clumped in some parts.

My partner and I chose Peak House for our wedding day, we wanted a small intimate celebration with 45 guests and Peak house was the perfect spot for it. Haydn and the team at Peak House were absolutely amazing for our wedding day. We got heaps of compliments on the food & wine we chose for our day. The views are incredible and we got lucky with the weather being the perfect Hawkes Bay day. I would highly recommend Peak House as a venue for your wedding celebration!

The coffee, food and staff were excellent. The food was good value for money and delicious (especially the fries with garlic butter). The view up the coast and inland from the restaurant is beautiful. Definitely worth a visit!

This place is ideal for a stop and refuel on the way back from the hike with bonus stunning panorama views of the bay. Plenty of breakfast and lunch options, lighter ones such as salads and more heavy ones like burgers and fries for everyone’s appetite. Few vegetarian and vegan options which is plus. Really enjoyed cauliflower salad. It gets very busy on weekends and holidays so make sure to book. Service can get slow but worth the wait.

On this beautiful day we decided to show our friends Te Mata peak and what a sight. Thereafter we went to Peak House to enjoy brunch. The Seafood chowder and creamy mushrooms were delicious, the service excellent. We will definitely be back!!

Beautiful food. Staff very obliging and enthusiastic about their job. We asked for a slight tweak on one meal which they happily did. Chicken burger was right up there too. What a view as well! Couldn’t fault the food or the staff.

Had our sons wedding 60 guests on saturday 4 pm on . Food was great , everything they served was delicious . Staff were helpful nothing was a bother. There were quite a few ceoliac ( gluten free) and they were more than happy with food too and no one was unwell the next day . Couldn't speak more highly of food .venue etc

Breathtaking view. Good food, coffee, drinks and great service. Do this while hiking up Te Mata peak or back down to main car park.
