Awesome tasty food. Loads of food to choose from! Cooked to perfection by the chef's there. The staff here are friendly and you feel welcomed. However it can get loud in there depending on how many people attend. Other than that it's actually a really nice place to go to and eat as you have many choices plus it's well worth the money too.

I just love this place! I love that you are able to choose fresh ingredients, with your own selection of oils and spices, and have it prepared to perfection in front of you, served hot and fresh. I absolutely love love their seafood chowder and their soft garlic bread. It's so good. I could eat only that and be happy. There is a big selection of vegetables, which I really like. There's also a huge selection of different meats, which most people will appreciate. There is ready prepared food, and a good selection of salads. For dessert you can have hot cakes and ice cream. The staff are very friendly and attentive, and keep clearing the tables.

Great for all you can eat in 2 hours pudding included in price too. Lovely staff especially like the young lady with glasses who has worked there for a long time. She is very polite and helpful 👍🏼

Great selection, very yummy. Very busy as always. They did well keeping everything stocked up Only downfall was the cleanliness. Floors were dangerously slippery, and plates felt a bit greasy..

Great service and value for money. You pick the food that you want and it's cooked in front of you. Fresh and delicious 😋 and you can go back and back and back for more ....till you say no more!!

Really enjoy coming here for the all you can eat lunch. Everything here tastes great and they supply jugs of water for FREE! Update Came in on the 3rd December and it was the best meals I've had since lockdown begun.

We went tonight and had a reservation for my Son's birthday. The thing that makes this place great is the staff, lovely helpful staff, my humble hats off to the chef cooking on the hot plate you are awesome and very polite. The food was great! Lovely fresh food nice and clean. I can see the lovely lady cleaning very thoroughly after people have left their tables. I observed the staff always saying thank you and just using excellent manners. My parents have dined after 12 plus years and we're very pleased loved everything, food is great keep it up awesome place to eat at. We were enjoying so much neither of us remembered to take some pictures of the food. But well worth it for the price you pay.

Love this type of restaurant pick your own meats and vegetables + sauces then take it to get cooked by the chef l really enjoy the food but I've been there a few times so l know the combinations l like the most.

Missing a few standard vegetable staples and very little room to move. Takes forever to get a meal. A good meal but does not come close to the service and experience at botany ghengis.

Great place for a meal. Pick you own meat and sauces and they BBQ while you watch.

Excellent lunch menu! Calamari is a definite hit! The experience is unbeatable, staff friendly and accommodating, surrounding would like to see more light. Drinks are affordable.Dinner might have more variety but lunch didn't have fish or bacon options for example. Sauces rock and seafood combination works so well! Pancakes and ice creams were a hit. Whole family were super impressed, thank you so much!!!

Had lunch yesterday here with variety of ages - fabulous! Would happily (and am planning to) go again. Everything was so fresh and the place was spotless.

My family plus 50 others had a nice experience for my sons 21st birthday dinner and my kids and family were very happy, thank you to Genghis khan and management for the nice experience this time around, well done.

Went to Gengis Khan last night (Fathers Day) without booking. The place was busy as, but they found us a table for 6. Food was awesome, cooked to how I wanted it. A little messy in places but one girl was running around filling up food as fast as people were taking it. Awesome!!!!!!

Everything was good but toilets were disgusting & floor was wet & I'm 8month's pregnant ruined it for me :)

Can't really expect much from Gengis. It is what it is. But a few things that needed to be pointed out. The tables were dirty. Baby corn was off, they smelting and tasted sour. Not much pre cooked food option.

Thought we try something different and I loved the concept of creating your meals with a choice of meats, veggies and sauces!! Something very interesting and different all at once 😊

Despite the good food and few polite staff the teller was rude as hell ruined the whole celebration night for us. Staff sent by manager to come to our table and shouted "whoever has not paid make your way to the front cashier" in front of so many other families around eating! We had not even started our set up. By the way we always pay after having our meal not before! The teller girl who apparently is manager kept coming to our side clearing tables with a stink attitude smh. Sorry but that's all it takes to ruin the experience!

We went here for dinner with visitors from Blenheim and 4 grandchildren; Loved it, especially the grandies who want to go daily LOL; Food plenty full, waiting time not bad, friendly service and quick clearing of tables, reasonable priced; Only draw back is that one meal was overcooked almost black and spoiled the desire to go for another meal. But we shalll go back this week to have an anniversary meal for our 49th with 2 visiting grandchildren, their choice LOL

Located just off Lincoln Road. Parking options can be limited as the parking spaces are shared with Porchetta, Ten Pin Bowling and the Gym. Quite a large dining space with many tables set up for events and just regular diners. Pay on arrival. It is quite dark in there, maybe lighter decor would open the place up a bit. <br/><br/>Food options were good though, there was the vegetables, meats, seafoods, sauces station were you select your own options and get them cooked in front of you. It wasn't a busy time so didn't have to wait long. Though I imagine wait times could be quite long if the place is full. Salad bar and a "warmed" station which consisted of chips, fried rice, spring rolls, noodles. normal rice and a couple of other options. I liked the dinner rolls that were available. Cubed butter and Garlic butter options. There was garlic bread but not freshly warmed which is a shame.<br/><br/>Dessert consisted of pancakes/pikelets? made to order. Vanilla, Strawberry and Chocolate Ice Cream. Chocolate and Strawberry sauce as well as Chocolate Hail Sprinkles. Drinks to be ordered and paid for at the bar area. <br/><br/>There was some kids running around unsupervised. Atmosphere due to other patrons and their events I imagine it could get quite noisy and irritating.<br/><br/>Overall, I think it is value for money and would be a good option for family reunion, birthday celebrations and other events. I would come back here again.

Good value for all you can eat. Vegetables always fresh for stir-fry, meat a range of options both plain and marinated. Cooked selections fairly good. Children should have to go up with an adult for hygiene. Staff friendly.

No one should go to this place. It is the worst restaurant I have ever been, the fruits were from can not fresh at all. I tried all kind of meat and they were all too salty. The french fries were awful they look white and nontasty. The only good thing was the chowder. <br/>Never coming back.

Came here for dinner the night before my sister left to go home it’s very easy to book a table. Food was quite average not much variety in my opinion but the food was okay. It would’ve been easier if there were signs saying what each thing was eg. “salads” “dessert” etc.

Nice and clean place .. buffet was expensive but worth the amount of food .. I would prefer an ingredients list next time for people who are not good with spices so that they have a outline so their food actually taste restaurant style.. takes a long time especially when it’s busy as well

I had lunch here today with family which was good no lines to wait for meals to be cooked. Quick to make meals only issue was that some of the all ready cooked foods was not fresh (hot chips,garlic bread, salads) other than that the rest of the food was good roasted veg, spring rolls, pancakes,fresh meats. <br/><br/>I have eaten here in the past and no complaints hopefully next visit food is served fresh. On a positive note service was great thank you keep it up 👍🏼

Went there first time for a birthday few weeks back. I LOVED the food. The Genghis Khan sauce is so delicious. It's like there's are unique taste on your palette during and after eating the meat and veges. I had 2 plates. Yum yum yum. Service good at table but needs improvement a little at front desk. Not consistent like nice to some then distant to others. Other than that perfect. Were coming again soon. Yum yum yum.

Food is always great every time I come to the Gengis on Lincoln road. They never disappoint. Always come here when we’re wanting a quick stress free fulling meal. Gengis is always the go to 👌🏼 plus loooove their spring rolls 😍👅

Went here for my in law's bday dinner on a Sunday. Wasn't that busy. Very spacious didn't have to wait long for our food to be cooked there wasn't a line like the branch in Epsom. There wasn't much variety of hot food, but it was nice and fresh. Love their raw fish, probably my favorite from here. Good service , Overall I did enjoy my experience here.

Phoned in first and they were polite and friendly.<br/>It's a big place, lots of tables for big groups, however it was a weekday so it was really quiet. Not super flash, but clean and functional. Thought the lights were a bit dim, but that probably depends where you sit. There's an area where you can pick out raw ingredients like veges and meat, add a bunch of sauce and oil/seasonings, and then you get to watch the chef cook it. You can also get fresh pancakes on demand. There's ice cream and salads, garlic bread, chips, etc whenever you want it. The pancakes tasted exactly like Mcdonalds hotcakes, except Maccas hotcakes are expensive and you only get three, here you get all you want!<br/>The prices on the drinks were pretty reasonable. <br/>Overall it was a good experience, if we go here again we'd bring more people because I think it's more fun in a big group.

Lincoln Road is THE BEST BRANCH EVER! The raw fish is out of this world. It’s almost as if they gave the fish a back rub &whispered sweet nothings in its ear before they lathered it in coconut cream. o addicted i frequented the restaurant twice a week for over 3 months. Gotta start learning how to cook so i save some $$$ i think LOL

It was our first time here and wow we were really impressed like no joke the meat was fresh it was clean and tidy we had 2 plates of food between us 3 adults hahaha pancakes and ice cream yum! the hot foods were cold but then replaced with hot ones which was all good ae I mean its buffet all you can eat hahaha really enjoyed it definitely will be back! 🙌😊

Came here on a weeknight for dinner with family. It was a great experience. The ambience was fine, the food was great, and cooked well. Staff were great, not intrusive. I have been to others, but this time, this location was the best so far.

Came here a little late. So wasn't as many options as we wanted. Though it wasn't their fault as we were warned. Great service, friendly and responsible staff. The food is really tasty. Would recommend.

All round the best restaurant I have ever been to in my LIFE. The food is absolutely amazing, and I have been to about 5 different Genghis Khans but this one definitely stood out. The staff are always friendly, the atmosphere is always warm and inviting. Honestly this place my honest rate would be 12/10. If I could afford to eat here everyday, god knows I would.

We have dined here a couple of times and it has always been a good feed. Usually quite tidy and raw foods bar is stocked up well, the precooked hot food is a little over cooked but edible.best to grab it as soon as it comes out. Salad bar is okay but nothing to rave about. Staff could be a little friendlier

Just saw this place get robbed like literally ..... but other than that the food was great if you know how prepare the food with different kinds of marinades and seasonings. The dessert was pretty tame. Just the usual ice cream and slice fruits. The location is pretty dark but that didn't bother me because I had great time with mates. Customer service is satisfactory.

Went there for the first time in September. Not what i expected. The food was okay,could be better. I think they need to bring standards 4 steps up. With main and dessert.Omg.lol the dessert i felt like i was in my own kitchen scopping the ice cream.haha.And with meat some of it wasnt cooked. But staff were nice.

Genghis Khan is a great place to come for a meal. However I do find it highly overpriced for the amount that you pay. I know I am a very small person so will not eat as much as some of the larger patrons who may visit this restaurant and perhaps that is why the prices are so high. <br/><br/>All in all the staff are nice and I am more frustrated that when I eat here I feel like I do not get value for money :)

26.95 for Sunday night. No water serve on the table, u have to look for it on your own. It has basic food like beef,pork,chicken like other gengis. However I can hardly find any dessert and fruit. <br/>Btw salad n soup taste normal, nothing impressed.

Gengis Khan (Henderson) is & has always been a pleasant experience for my family and I, which is why we're regular customers. If you love food - this is the place to be. On our last visit, we were the last customers to leave the premises (around 10pm) and being a slow night, the buffet area should've been closed (around 8.30pm). However, the head chef let us enjoy our second/third round (around 9pm) of dinner before they closed off the grill for the night. We were very happy customers that night! <br/><br/>Also, Dinah is most helpful and very quick on her feet. Her smile is friendly and inviting. Gengis Khan is the perfect place for a group meal as it caters for everyone with a build your own meal style. There is a buffet smorgasbord on offer from which you can choose what meat, veggies, noodles, sauces etc you want and then watch it being cooked in front of you. This allows creativity and customisation for the customer as well as allowing them to make sure they get the meal they are wanting. My favourite individual sauce combination I made up is bbq, teriyaki and soy, however if you are not feeling as adventurous there is also recipes for different ones. The cooking time is usually around 5 minutes which also means that there is no big waiting period like a normal restaurant which is a big bonus especially in large groups for whom which it would normally take a very long time for everyone to get there meal. Pancakes and ice cream are on offer for the desert which is always a hit with the kids as they often make Mickey mouse pancakes if you ask nicely. As it is a one off payment style you can eat until your hearts content which provides another isotope aspect for some restaurant goers. I would recommend that everyone should try this restaurant at least once

I had always questioned whether or not to eat here, but as it is local decide to give it a chance. Myself and daughter waited for service which finally did eventually get to us waitress was ok but would have appreciated a smile. We were directed to our table and left to help ourselves. When I picked my plate up I noticed it wasn't clean and on further inspection several more plates my daughter and I picked up all dirty, finally finding a plate clean of any left over residue. The food presentation wasn't great didn't look fresh, had to ask for hot chips as nothing was put out. Overall my experience here was anything but an enjoyable one I went in with an open mind but Gengis Khan Henderson your establishment is not warm and inviting your staff are not very pleasant and should take your cleaning of babies hair chairs to back of house as disinfectant spraying is not appreciated by customers who are eating. I will not be returning or recommend to family or friends!!

Buffet idea is awesome it's an all you can eat meat! Along with a nice selection of hot foods and sides. <br/><br/>You can DIY your own meal: there is selection of sauces, spices and different marinated meats, which are fab. You can view your meal being cooked and the workers doing it are always hard at work making your experience a good one.<br/><br/>I use to come here a lot but over time I would see the drop in service and quality in terms of refilling foods and cleanliness. However perhaps it was the busy-ness and time of kai.

24.95 all u can eat dinner. Well worth the money.. They have a large selection of veges, seafood meat and sauces. The cooks are very fast and effecient. Also a wide range of drjnks at the bar. Lots of different cocktails. The only downside would be it can get very packed, best to go either really early or really late as they often cater for large birthday groups.

We were last here on September the 13th, 2015 and are planning on visiting at lunchtime today to celebrate our son's 14th birthday. <br/>The serving staff are always polite and helpful. The two gentlemen who cook the food are more fussy and artistically creative with their metal spatulas than any internationally famous B.B.Q Chef, making this our family's most favourite restaurant. <br/>We are looking forward to repeating our dinning experience because we enjoy the food, family friendly atmosphere and service.<br/>Thank you Genghis Khan Restaurant!

i like this place i can make own dish !! they make it fresh ! got some little side dishes and dessert !! sometimes have to wait for cooking but there staff was very fast !! not too longer ! <br/>seasoned pork, and chicken, i like them ! NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY AT ALL, kids being kids as they are just playing with each other and the "manager" literally comes and YELLS I mean she pretty much is considered screaming at us to control out kids who having fun as a group with the ballon with some other guest's kids. She humiliated us. Then she tried to charge us for 9 extra people who weren't there. She was smoking and drinking I even saw her eating at the back then she was smoking again it was horrible I don't mind her smoking but no washing of hands straight to the register and picking up plates she smelt digusting <br/>

I love the variety of meats and sauces compared to the New Lynn Gengis Khan as they have very limited options. Food was cooked perfectly. Waitstaff customer services was inviting and friendly. Love the ice cream and pancakes however it is a bummer they don't make them at lunch. Defs a 10/10 in my book and I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to family/friends

The concept behind Genghis Khan is pretty cool! It's a buffet restaurant where you have total control over what you eat, and how it tastes. If you're a meat lover, you can opt for the various choices of meat available (marinated or not), and choose your choice of sauce and oil and spices. You then hand it over to the cooks who cook your meal in front of you. <br/><br/>I never get the pre cooked food when I come here. I usually just prefer to make my own! But it's fun to try out different sauce combinations and see how your food turns out! I would recommend getting little portions because if you don't like a particular combination of sauce and spice, you're stuck with a big plate of food that no one wants to eat! <br/><br/>My favourite thing are the pancakes afterwards. Unlimited pancakes yay! You can also top them with icecream and a few other toppings. Yum! <br/><br/>Great for a catch up with friends! $25 buffet is super good for what you get!<br/><br/>The service here does differ though. Sometimes the wait staff are attentive and take away your plates quite fast, but other times I've been here, service has been quite average. <br/><br/>I would come here again though!

I often feel like a caesar salad for lunch - and this place lets you make your own - just keep going back for more until you have had enough. There are also endless hot food choices, and even desert if you feel up to it. Would have been a better score if they had coffee, but you can't please all your customers all of the time!

First time today we dined at the lincoln road branch, to the left there is a price list no where does it say that u pay an extra $3.00 on the weekends, the place was so dark and to top it off there is nothing to say they DONT SERVE Pancakes during lunch what a joke can u please clearly state both these things on your website ( LINCOLN ROAD BRANCH) husband and daughter used the toilets and they were not impressed smelt like urine badly needs attention over all rating 2/10 would rather pay the extra gas and eat out at the Manukau branch at lease u get Pancakes there :(

We went here couple of times already and every time we have our meal I really love it!<br/>The grill cooking idea is brilliant, there are large amount of range of meats you can choose to be cooked by the chefs from the grill with great sauces.<br/><br/>Last time we went there, there were lots and lots of people dinning in due to the fact of end of the year meal. Even though we waited to get our food to be cooked the food is still lovely and I would like to go there again.

I went to get meat five times and out of the four times it was overcooked. Chips were undercooked, desert was atleast tasty. At least the lady came to take our plates regularly.

We had a birthday celebration on Sunday night, we found the food to be very grossly over cooked and some of us had them cooked until they were burnt. The hot plate was not cleaned properly and you had black pieces through your food. <br/><br/>The buffet cabinets were not kept full and were empty most of the time. Nobody was keeping an eye out for the empty cutlery tray, you had to keep on asking someone to get them for you.<br/><br/>We booked our party of 10. It is likely that none of us will be back. For the price, it was not an enjoyable experience.

Made a reservation via this website. On arrival to the restaurant they hadn't checked their bookings so were unaware we were even coming! Luckily their was room for us! We had been to the one on the north shore so expectations were higher than the service we received here at Lincoln rd! Food was average, drinks were average and staff were average. The cooks were average tho, yet they went from raw food to serving up cooked food... Not good when meats like chicken and pork were cooking!

The food is beautiful and fresh the salads are so yummy especially the mash hmmm yum lol..The atmosphere is awesome azzz..it's very comfortable and the staff are very friendly..they tell you where everything is straight away, they tell you to help yourself to the jugs of water at the bar.. it's really good, best restaurant I've been to..they have so much room everywhere..The bar is awesome as well everything blends in together.

Been here twice with my family and both times have been great , the staff were friendly and the food cooked on the BBQ was delicious and the other buffet station is good also , the dessert was ok <br/>they had different flavours of Ice-cream, pancakes and biscuits , there's also a bar and the seating arrangements were good . Overall it's a great restaurant and I would definetly eat here again :-)

It was pretty good. Yum food and pancakes with ice cream for dessert. I like how for the stir fry, you choose what goes in. It's a hot plate frying buffet so be patient.<br/><br/>I found that the warm food buffet, wasn't really warm and the rice dishes that were provided on that buffet were half cooked. There was also this potato salad, too eggy. And I wish there were more options for veges to fry and more meat provided. We arrived around 8pm and there wasn't much left for us. Although, there was already two big groups of people eating there. Dessert was OK. Two pancakes served, sauces, ice cream (choc. Vanilla. Strawberry. Cookie cream.) and sprinkles. I asked for Micky mouse pancakes and was given them. Pretty cute :) <br/><br/>I wouldn't really go back, only for like family/friends gatherings.<br/><br/>I've been to Whangarei's restaurant and it was my first time. They are way better than this. You choose what you want...the cooks will fry it for you!<br/><br/>Have been twice with family and friends on the weekends(Peak times), clean and well stocked with food, buffet all you can handle...fasted all day to get my money worth, you have to wait 5mins to get thru to the cooking part but its all part of the experience<br/><br/>Unless you know what you are doing regarding mixing your food/oils/sauce suggest you ask the cooks whats the best or go off the menu poster, take your time and take note on what you mix vs taste to get what you like, I prefer less oil to burn off/ get the BBQ feel type of style<br/><br/>Dessert/pancakes are a nice touch to finish off, overall one of the best bangs for your buck in Auckland with a "I made it, they cooked it type of feel to it"

Tried this branch of Gengis a month ago &amp; have been back three times since. Feel like I'm being a traitor to my usual Gengis in New Lynn. Excellent atmosphere &amp; hospitality, staff are friendly &amp; accommodating. <br/><br/>Excellent food &amp; bar, location is pretty cool, we went to work off our dinner at Gengis by playing ten pin bowling next door.<br/><br/>Highly recommend any Gengis Khan Restaurant, always a fantastic time.

Came here twice once with friends and second time with my partner first time was great! Only down fall was NO PAN CAKES FOR LUNCH ONLY DINNER:( which is sad other then that YUMMY! <br/>Second time was for dinner and they had no mushrooms :( and just the Potato salad tasted hard and off and disgusting other then that great service staff very friendly! But please have mushrooms all the time and bring back PAN CAKES FOR LUNCH! Thanks

As with all new places it was clean and fresh. Good variety of food and although the seafood salad tasted a bit funky to me, the rest was nice. The satay sauce was hot and spicy and was not like any satay I had tried before (and I don't like hot and spicy). Only real disappointment was the `pancakes` which were more like pikelets they were so small and thin. Wait for them was long too. Good meal for their opening special price of $21.50

We went here once to try out what the difference was between this restaurant and the one in Takapuna. And just like my previous Valentines review, the one on the Shore was definitely better! (Seems like most the North Shore restaurant chains are the best compared to the ones in the West!)<br/><br/>The hot food was great, but the meat tasted like it was 'expired' meat or something along the lines of that, when the professionals cooked it. The pancakes were good though, and I thought they cooked that perfectly! They also serve ice-cream which is a great addition!<br/><br/>Overall, not a bad place, but the meat definitely tasted of something. Could've been my unlucky day though... Will have to see the next time if we decide to go there.
