My wife and I were very glad to come across this restaurant. The restaurant was very clean and comfortable, ample parking, the service was very good, the food looked and tasted delicious. It had a steady flow of Uber drivers. Highly recommend the hot (spicy) sizzling beef platter, but the red curry chicken and peanut garden chicken were also great.

Saturday night Thai food. Food was really nice however portions were a bit small. Order a few vegetarian and vegan dishes, staff were very good and asked are we vegetarian or vegan. Service was not the best as it took a very long time to wait and get an order, when the staff member arrived they proceeded to take a phone order prior to mine. The restaurant was fairly busy and had an ok vibe. I'm terms of the food itself given the price the portion was ok. The taste however was really nice, I enjoyed it and would definitely go again, however this time I will note to call and place an order rather then wait in line.

This restaurant is not located in the most inviting area but it was a nice surprise to see a clean and tidy area inside. Two of us ordered pad thai and sizzling beef which came with rice. Very large portion. Both tasted good. I don’t think the ingredients were the top quality and but very reasonable for price they charge. Most main dishes are in the range of 16-20 dollars. Very cheap for dinner. They also have 14 dollar lunch specials which seem like good value.

$14 pad Thai on Saturday, cannot be beaten. Great portion size, great quality food, really enjoyed it. New website and ordering system seems quite efficient as well.

Stir fry options very good. Stay away from curries they are a bit bland for my liking. Also serving size a bit small but that's to be expected with everything going up in price.

Located in the plaza, plenty of parking nearby. Good portion size for the price. Good food. Fair selection of Vegetarian food labelled and can be made vegan friendly if you ask for no egg.

It was not bad and I left feeling satisfied and happy but the Thai red curry with chicken that i had felt watered-down. It did not have creaminess or a flavour punch. The veges and the chicken were a bit under seasoned. I actually went to get salt and added quite a bit more to the chicken (and this is despite my curry being medium in spiciness). My girlfriend felt the same about her cashew prawns.

Food portions and prices are good. Place looks old and run down though. Once you go in the food doesn't disappoint you.

The meals here are always spot on, portions are good, fresh and tasty. Food is prepared fast and the prices are fair :) I dine in regularly and often order on uber eats. we love the curry puffs! we bought 6 servings of curry puffs last week. Unfortunately they had used savoury pastry instead of puff pastry. When you spend $30 on something you love for it to be changed can be quite annoying. We hope it was only temporary :)

I love their Chicken Pad Thai and my 4yo loves the curry puffs. Decent portions and affordable then most. The meat and Veges are always fresh for whatever dish they cook. My favorite Thai spot out west.

I went here quite a while back maybe more than 4-5years ago and it was SO AVERAGE. But recently I came here with my mum and the food fantastic! It was authentic and the portion size was great especially for the price.<br/>I will definitely be coming here more regular now and considering I'm not much of a Thai eater, that will be changing with this place around.<br/>It would of been a 5 star but our waitress wasn't a happy little lady which is fine because it's COVID and the food is great!

Food was cooked perfectly and quickly, delivery went smooth. Drink was lovely and refreshing.

Super yummy food! it's my 1st time here and I'm impressed. We only paid $36 for 3 dishes plus drinks. Pad thai can be shared by 3 people. Me and my husband really had a great foodtrip here. Highly recommended 🤟🏻

Absolutely disgusting and completely unimpressed by the food and service. Save your money and don't waste your time. The curries we ordered was literally water with meat and veggies over the top.

We have had wonderful food Tom kha chicken etc from here before but unfortunately via Uber eats tonight was a disaster Tom kha bland and Tom yum prawn at over 18 dollars sweet and not at all to flavour very disappointing will not order from here again which is very sad as we loved our few weeks back and cannot trust which we will get!

Always yummy food and really good specials. Looks like nothing from the outside but is worth a try. I've never dined in but never disappointed with my takeaway experience.<br/>Especially recommend the Chicken and cashew nuts but the curry is amazing too.<br/>It's my go to for Thai takeout.

A basic no-frills place, clean and tidy and very popular for both eat in and takeaways. Prices and portion size are good, and the food is yummy ! Large selection of dishes on the menu and service is fast. Plenty of parking available too.

This place is nice and clean. The food portion is good and the food is tasty. Food was prepared very quckily and was presented very well. Love the pad thai.

Takeaway portion sizes are quite large and the flavours are good. The only issue was the amount of meat in the pad Thai. We had both a chicken and a pork, that we had to dig through to find the meat. Will have to try this place again.

The restaurant itself is quite dated and service is just OK but the food is great. It is hard to choose a favourite as the ones that I have tasted were great. Surprisingly their desserts are yummy as well. Ice cream cake is one of my favourites.

Attentive service, good portions, tasty dishes and reasonable prices.  Last Sunday night was busy, a full restaurant and we waited 25 mins before entree, main course was 5 mins later.  Dessert came immediately after we asked.  Everybody in the restaurant appeared to be enjoying their meals and nearly all took home what they couldn't eat. I had tender pork hock with delicate spices, not overpowering chilli and rice was sufficient. My partner had pork ribs which were tasty and a little hotter chilli wise.  After reading the other reviews, we weren't sure about the quality of anything but they deserve better reviews.

This place is open and airy with plenty of seating at lunchtime, but unfortunately this is where the positives end. I have been here 3 times, and unfortunately 3 times I had hoped for better. I like to think of myself as patient, however this place really put me to the test lol! (But not lol) we have had the same waitress every time, and each time she acts as if she's doing me a favour by serving me, and seems to be permanently grumpy..I kinda felt bad for her that she was always grumpy.. I have had the drunken noodles that seemed more drunk on oil than anything else, and a tofu pad Thai which was dry. Unfortunately I don't have any photos as I could not for the life of me take one decent one! (A sign from the Zomato gods that it just wasn't going to happen 😕 lol) it was 3 times too many a visit for me here, I won't be back..life is too short for bad service AND bad food.

I just love the Hangover Noodles here. Tried curry and stir fry which are not as good as their pad thai or Hangover noodles. Good for take away despite the service. DIY!

Ordered a Lamb Massaman takeaway from here which cost $15. Taste was good but the portion size was meagre & small to say the least. There was only 2-3 small spoons of meat & veges where the rest of the curry was drowned in the sauce. The rice portion was also quite small. Wouldn't recommend or return.<br/><br/>Updated 14/03 so thought I would give it another go to see if there had been any improvements made. I changed up my order & got sizzling chicken + tempura prawns on the side. Again similar concerns where the meal was drowned in sweet soy sauce with a bit of a burnt taste. The Tempura prawns were small & not worth the $8 price tag. <br/><br/>So wouldn’t recommend or return now for sure.

There is no welcome here. The lady who runs the show alone is always grumpy and very rude. We went there last month. Ordered our food then the lady disappeared for twenty minutes before she came with some water. ..with nit so pleasant glasses. Then she disappeared again this time to come five minutes after some customers rang the bell. We waited for our meal which was not nice. The meat was chewey. Seemed they used cheap meat which you can't even give to your dog. Suppose one can try this when desperate.

This place is actually one of my fav thai place. Nothing fancy but their food is super authentic (pad thai is the best) and very yummy! Service is fast and ambiance is not the best but affordable dishes and nice big serving is all you need after work!

Waited for ages just to be served for a takeaway then was told to wait 20 minutes and ended up waiting for more like 40 , went back at 20 and rang the bell 3 times to get somebody to come out and ask how long. Shit

Ordered a takeaway and was told 20 minute wait. Dine in was packed and the diners seemed happy. After waiting 45 minutes for our takeaway found out they lost our order so we asked for refund and won't be going back there again.

Great TakeAways Deals. my favourite are Pad Thai Sunday , sizzling Monday and Cashewnut Wednesday all for just $10. Food is fast I tend to make phone order so it's ready for me to pick up. This place is my regular take away spot.

The service in this place is mediocre, if it exist at all. The wait staff is always hiding in the kitchen, not only in 1 visit but across all visits I made to this place. A good 6/6 times.<br/><br/>Food remains inconsistent in taste and quantity. It can be over spicy one time and bland the other though the same exact order was made.<br/><br/>Servers taking orders is inconsistent too, for example, suggesting an entree size Tom Yam soup for one table while neglecting to mention that there is a alternative serving for the other. <br/><br/>Did we mention that it is absolutely not kids friendly at all, with no highchairs or kids nonbreakable utensils? <br/><br/>The floors is oily and slippery with even further reduced grip on a rainy day. <br/><br/>While there, I noted the staff took wrong orders at least twice, and it does not help that they do not speak proper english enough to be well understood by the guests. <br/><br/>Disappointing.

busy lunch spot on Friday. They were very busy today lunch time. Food took about 15 min to come out with was ok as they were busy. I ordered beef noodle soup , the soup is very tasty very similar to the one inThailand

Ordered the Thai beef fried rice take away, although I have been here a few times. Nice set up, food was good, service as well. Not the most convenient place to have a restaurant but overall good.

I love pad thai and i came here to get pad thai because its the easiest, yummy takeaway i can get as a vegan by asking for no egg and no fish sauce. I always worry about people getting my food wrong but they got it right and took my requests into account and i am so thankful for that. the place was so nice and warm after coming in from the freezing cold, so leaving was a bit sad. the girl who took my order was lovely, though the pad thai was a bit light in flavour, still good though and they really filled the container up with so much food! good place and i would go there again. thank you!!

Worst service :( staff not friendly nor accommodating. Had to wait for quite some time to catch attention of staff as well as checking out. Nobody was in the counter.

My partner and I often eat here and really enjoy the food whether we dine in or take away. The food is always usually fresh and delicious and they're more than happy to make it spicy or with no spice at all!! I would say we've eaten here 100 times in the last two years with it being so close to home. Last night on his way home from rugby training, my partner stopped in to purchase our usual pad Thai and chicken green curry. As I opened the green curry I noticed that it looked like the cream had split, you could actually see the split cream on the vegetables sitting on top. It did have a strange smell to it but the. I thought that it just needed a good stir. Anyway there was a piece of carrot still stuck on the lid so I popped it in my mouth and it tastes disgusting. It actually tastes off. Because we eat here often I just thought it was a one off, so I called them to let them know. They said we could bring it back in to replace it. I asked if we could replace it with a different meal as the smell had put me off eating green curry for the night. When my partner arrived and showed them, the lady at the counter proceeded to open the container and smell the contents. She then tried to make out like it didn't smell bad and make out that my partner was lying. He asked her to try it, which she refused to do and then asked if he'd eaten green curry before. Now being regulars this really offended me because we've never had any problems before. I don't think we'll be going back anytime soon and we hope to find a new local Thai place that offers better service in these situations.

A nice easy spot to pick up some Thai for lunch while I'm at work. It's not that nice to look at inside - but what took my rating up was the fact that the food is so gooood! My favourite is the Yellow Curry. Cheap too as far as price goes, $10.90 for the curry and the rice and on Thursdays it's $10 flat! Nice!

Delicious currys at lunch time and they also run daily specials. A work colleague and I LOVE the Thai curries here and would come every Thursday on our lunch break. Fresh vegetables and authentic flavours are used in the curries. This place is a favourite for us!

pretty average rude service and the pad thai was not very tasty - the money bags where filled with mixed veges  ie.peas and carrots which looked like they came from a frozen pack from the super market no good at all second time we have had crap food from here the first time we went was good that's why we gave them a second chance. so will not be returning here again..

It's all about Value for your money with Ruang Thong Thai restaurant. They offer a good portion size too and as a vegetarian I find their meals are fresh - I.e no smell of meat or fish. Spring rolls are amazing and so are their pad that's and curries which is why I am a regular!

It is a great place to eat out. The staff were friendly, the food was fresh with a reasonable amount and delicious. We enjoyed it very much. Especially the price was reasonable. The environment was cheerful, clean and comfortable. After main course, we all had deserts as they were so yummy.

Food is AWESOME. Fresh produce everyday and the lovely young tall girl that works there has good communication with all her guests and good sense of humour. Recommend this place for a chillaxing night out locally.

We only ever get takeaways as its not really a nice place to eat, decor is tired and a bit shabby. Food is good and very reasonable, of course in have had better thai food but this place is not bad, sometimes to the vegetables could be fresher. Hot means hot here and sometimes even the medium is too hot (and I like spicy!) Love their curry puffs! Amazing! The food was amazing, it was brought to us within half n hour of ordering! The service was odd, he was a man who spoke a few words. He was nether rude or polite. We dined in and the restraint was rather clean, a little shabby but that didn't bother me or my partner! Very good experience, we will be going back!!

Don't let the pictures fool you, had dinner Thursday night, place is dreary an cold but thought we would try a local thai place. Firstly we arrived at 6:30 and had to wait for service and menus for what seemed like 5 mins then had to ask to for the waitress to take our order, then the wait for the meals was even longer. We ordered their mixed starters the money bag was as small as a cherry and then fried till it was dark brown, the fish cake was more like a squashed fish ball chicken satay was ok but the peanut sauce was more clear sauce with nuts. Next was massaman chicken curry which was coconut sauce with old potatoes and worst broccoli no spice or flavour at all we also ordered Pad Thai which we thought would be a safe bet but what turned up on out table has to be the worst pad thai I have ever seen and tasted the noodles were under done and barely any beef and the sauce was like gravy. We didn't eat even half the mains and left there $60 poorer, a lot hungry and a note never eat here again.

The service is always brilliant!! The first time I ate there, the veggies in the dish that I ordered were a bit tired. Thinking it was obviously a once off, I came back hoping I'd get the standard fresh vegetables that you get at every other thai restaurant. I was wrong and the vegetables were once again, old and perhaps off? I don't know, but please try and change that! Needless to say, never going back again.

Food is generally good and well priced, especially the everyday takeaway specials. However, the chef does not appear to know what Thai Hot means. I have ordered CHICKEN MACADAMIA several times and the last two times I ordered and specifically asked for it to be Thai Hot, but it was mild as anything. Having mild Thai food is as good as not having any at all, and I don't intend to go back there any time soon.. maybe in 6 months, in case they get a chef who knows what Thai Hot means.

Friendly staff, always greeted with a smile. Great menu to choose from. Prawn spring rolls are our little family's favourite entree, they're amazingly yum. Definitely a must try when you dine there. Sizzling &amp; cashew nut dishes are delicious. Always great meals had here.

Yep, we are regulars here. The service is adequate. However, the staff are friendly and recognise us on entry as regulars. It's surely a diamond in the rough!<br/>Careful of the heat you order. Hot means HOT!

We grabbed takeaways from here last night and found the service quick and the food tasty, prices are reasonable too. We were able to get a free entree as part of the deal for the night (buy two mains get a free entree) but were unable to pay extra to upgrade to the mixed entree ($1 more) which was a shame as we would have liked to have tried a selection to pick a favourite for next tme. :) We got the curry puffs though which were delicious, our twin sons really enjoyed them too. So all up a really good experience, Pad Thai, Peanut Sauce Pork, Green Curry Beef &amp; 4x curry puffs (free) with rice for $36. Can't complain and we will be back! Thanks guys.

My partner and I are regulars here, and we love the place. The regular lady who serves us is very friendly and competent. It's not especially fancy, but it's tasty and pretty inexpensive.<br/><br/>Highly recommend their curry puffs to start, and the Pad Thai or Cashew Nut (your choice of meats) mains. So yum!

The food is good, but the service was a huge let down.<br/><br/>We ordered our takeaways and the (VERY YOUNG) girl worked out the price when the phone rang and she took the call without acknowledging us and we ended up waiting for 10 minutes just to pay. This was extremely rude and another couple waiting to order just walked out (which I also wanted to do but my partner felt sorry for the girl because she was so obviously young). A guy came out from the back a couple of times during the phone call but did not assist her/us.<br/><br/>The service really needs improvement to be on par with their food. I would love to rate this better but the overall service made me extremely uneasy.<br/><br/>I admit I also felt sorry for the girl, she seemed very much out of her depth and needed training or assistance, but hospitality is about hospitality.

I have dined in and used the takeaway option . haven't had any issues and can confidently say great value ,great Thai food .Its our local for when we are running late .Always helpful and a quite place to eat in .

Fav spot to eat out west by far! Food is always superb, service has room for improvement, but the atmosphere is always welcoming &amp; cheerful. Love the Beef sizzling dish aswell as the Pad Thai, Fried rice and cashew chicken. Portion sizes are enough for two and the wait on the food is minimal. If you haven't had Thai before this is a great place to start!

Great place for Thai Food , good price , good food. Staff are always friendly , great atmosphere to sit in.<br/>My favorite Thai place. The also do B.Y.O, I have enjoy my bottle of wine with delicious food here. Sometimes I get Take Away which is a bit cheaper than thier dine in price but both are still pretty cheap anyway.

For those of you living out west, good Asian food options can be a bit thin on the ground - we're not exactly Dominion Road! This is a lovely Thai restaurant with well cooked dishes using fresh produce. The atmosphere is pretty sterile so don't go for that, but if you're looking for a nice meal on the way to the movies or similar, this is the place.
