Review Little Sister Cafe - Henderson

Rick Shen
The coffee was rich and aromatic, hitting the perfect balance, really nice with strong flavour and creamy milk. Not too much, just perfect. The Benedict eggs were a delight—tasty, with velvety hollandaise sauce. We ordered the one with salmon and it tastes so good. As for desserts, they were simply delicious, a sweet symphony that capped off the meal perfectly. Each bite was a testament to culinary excellence. A must-visit for coffee aficionados, brunch enthusiasts, and anyone with a sweet tooth. The are some parking lots just in front of the store. All staff are really nice.

Good coffee. Good people. Love the brioche and enormous scones from the place. Do give the mite brioche a try 🥳 Coffee is just right. Not too hot. And nicely extracted. Staffs are nice. Place can get packed sometimes with parking being a slight issue but not much of a probs for a great coffee

Little cozy cafe with friendly staff, tasty meals and good atmosphere.

Food and beverages was fast. Our coffee tastes good and strong. Our food was also very nice.

One of the best cafes in the area, tasty food and great service! Highly recommend big sister and this chicken platter, can"t remember the name
Vicky Hill
Popular and busy little cafe. Great food and great coffee, consistent with both too over multiple visits. The location doesn't really support how popular it is though, very limited parking and eat-in table space.

Delicious! Ordered hotcakes and a hot chocolate. Hot chocolate was a good balance of milky, frothy and chocolates taste. The hot cakes (in my opinion) could have used more syrup but were probably compensated by all the fruit and vanilla cream. Bacon was tasty and cooked well. Overall a real good bite and decently priced. Watch out for the rogue seagulls if you’re outside!

A naughty slice of pizza on a Friday with the sun beaming down. Can’t beat it at Little sister cafe. Good vibes and friendly chatty girls on the counter make the experience even better. Sterling Arnet Kakapo Business Sales

One of the best cafes i had been to in Auckland. Food were absolute delights. Sweets are to die for. Thanks for the friendly service as well!

We had lunch here sometime ago. It was not a big cafe. Sitting was tight and parking was limited. However the food was tasty. It deserved a visit. So if around the area just drop in for a cup of coffee. Maybe a bite too. 0 Votes for helpful, 0 Comments

This is a very busy place situated in the Western suburb of Henderson. This is a good place to visit when in the area but unfortunately I can't say it lived up to the hype I had heard about.

There is a vibey little atmosphere here which is helped from the high volume of people it attracts. The space is nice but it is a little cramped. But that is also a testament to how many people clearly enjoy this place.

I must say the service here was probably the best part of the place. The food came out really fast which is good as people just kept flooding through the door, meaning that the service does keep up with the demand! The staff were all super friendly and accommodating.

The food was definitely what I had heard the most about making this a very exciting venture for my first time. But, unfortunately I don't feel it lived up to expectations. I got the much heard about pancakes and my partner bagels with avocado and tomato. The pancakes were a little disappointing I felt . I am not sure this will be everyone's experience (which is evident from the amount of people this place attracts), but my pancakes were very dry and the maple syrup didn't offer much reprieve. Then there was the candy floss sat on top. I thought was a great idea until I poured my maple syrup over the top (top tip - don't do that). This led to the candy floss turning into pieces of cement. Overall, the pancakes didn't quite do it for me. The bagels, I was told, was okay but unfortunately nothing special. Lastly the coffee was good, and there are a few gluten free options, but it is a shame that the pancakes are not.

Overall, I think this is definitely a good place and don't let this review put you off (this is just my experience) as it was definitely a popular place! For me, however, I won't be rushing back, but I might need to give it a second chance.

Staff/service: 4/5
Venue: 4/5
Price/portion: 4/5

Both our mains is served with charcoal brioche buns. The egg benedict with house cured salmon taste lovely. Could do with a bit more green.

The brisket beef burger’s kumara crisps is actually not huge portions and fairly oily. Can’t really taste much of the apple slaw. Would be good that the ratio of the items listed for the burger with the right balance.

Join Zomato Gold and get a flat discount on the total bill. This place is a nice little cafe that sells delicious food. The burger and big breakfast were really great.

Only let down was the service. Just because they are busy doesn't mean they shouldn't be friendly. We weren't welcomed. We found a table we liked and it was full of dishes so we moved those to another table. The waitress saw this and cleaned up the dishes but didn't bother to wipe our table so we were left with lots of crumbs and food pieces from the last people. Lots of staff but really hard to get anyone's attention. Usually at cafess people come by ask if you need anything. Would be nice to have been served some water at least.

We wouldn't be back but the review is high because the food was fantastic which is the important bit!

Little sister cafe is the ideal friday brunch spot, hidden away in West Auckland! We ordered the ‘Soul warmer fruit crumble’ 😍 which is definitely one to share, it’s vegan and perfect for the winter as it comes in a hot skillet! It consisted of blueberries, pears 🍐, topped with a crumble and coconut cream 🥥! We also ordered the ‘Magic sister’ made up of potatoes 🥔, roasted capsicum and tomatoes 🍅, field mushrooms 🍄, grilled eggplant 🍆, halloumi, toast and eggs of your choice 🍳! Finally, we also ordered the ‘Vanilla bean hotcakes’ 🥞 (how can you not!?) which had mango gel, lime mascarpone 🍋, maple syrup 🍁, and fairy floss! Overall it was delish and the quantities were very generous! Would recommend checking this place out! 🌼

An amazing selection of cabinet food and a very diverse cafe menu. Very small space inside. Friendly wait staff and amazing table service though. Eggs benny was to die for and the sweet treats were absolutely delicious
Natasha
Top notch!!!!

Probably the most complete cafe in all of west Auckland food always on point coffee is always spot on I can not fault this place. Little sister is a slick well run cafe.
YumTum
Their breakfast/brunch menu is too yummy & difficult to choose more than 1 option! Each breakfast meal is quite a large serving And definitely worth each bite! Perfect spot to pop into on a Saturday morning before a busy day! Ps. They’re not shy with the salmon! 👌🏼

I always wanted to try this cafe and had high expectations. Overall it was a good meal but some brownie points were reduced because of the Jamaican jerk chicken dish. The chicken was lovely with good coating and flavour but the tortillas were a disappointment. They were fried so much that there was blackness off the pan stuck to them and they were so hard it was like eating paper.

The other dish we ordered was the kiwi breakfast and overall tasted good but the plate was far too small to handle all the food so it made eating a bit difficult.

The greens on both dishes were flavourless and just tasted raw which also took away from the overall dish. However the cafe had a nice atmosphere.

I have ordered summer Vegetarian salad as I am pure vegetarian and I found chicken Pieces in it. Such a shame. If you can't handle vegetarian then stop selling it from your menu. Won't go there again!!
Jay18
Definitely worth the drive to the west. This quaint little cafe offers one of the best coffees in town. I have also tried some of their pastry. They also did not disappoint. Love to go back again.
Tian Sweetly
The burger tasted a little bit sweet but still pretty good, side chips was amazing . We ordered two different cakes, both were delicious . There were more good looking food in the carbine , exercising to try next time. Coffee is ok . The environment was great .

No surprises here how they have such a great score. The food here is AMAZING and the presentation is just beautiful! An excellent selection of different types of food and for a non vege cafe the amount of vegetarian and vegan options is great! I'll definitely be back here again soon and I can't believe it's been hiding close by!
Great atmosphere great food good value for money!

came here with my daughter, fantastic food, nice and frendly staff, very busy but fast service. will come back to try their donuts and sweets. lots of yummy things from their cabinet too

Little Sister still turns out good food, the coffee has slipped. I am a customer who has returned time and time again ever since this cafe opened. The customer service now could do with an overhaul and i'm not sure if these are the owners of old. Today I ordered a flat white to take away. When my coffee was ready i walked out and coffee was dripping all over my jeans and shoes. There was a hole in the bottom of the cup. I walked back in and asked for it to be poured into another cup. The barista took the cup and a short time later i was handed back a cup, but as i soon discovered it was the same cup, with another cup over the top. i.e. two cups sandwiched together. As i found out getting into my car the lid no longer fitted with two cups stuffed into the lid, and of course the whole cup of coffee exploded through my car. Flat white everywhere, carpet, seats, dashboard, my wallet, and my clothes. Covered in coffee. My drivers seat is saturated with coffee. I tried to wipe up what coffee I could and took the cup back in, not happy of course, and asked for another one explaining what had happened. I got blank look, zero acknowledgement of the issue and was asked to pay another $4.50 for a new coffee. Ummm when you give a customer a cup of coffee that's leaking and is sandwiched in two takeaway cups without the lid attached properly as it no longer fits, how's about you don't charge me for a replacement coffee? I'm standing there drenched in coffee and its all through my car thanks to your baristas incompetence. Why didn't you put it into a new cup like I asked for? So i get my new second paid for coffee and turn around to walk out and coffee is spewing out of the top hole of the cup all over my hand, jumper and jeans and shoes! Seriously? Back to the counter to ask for a serviette to clean it up and explain somethings wrong with their cups which I show them. Another blank disinterested look from the women serving me, and get a response of "Ok". Ummm No not okay! I get back to my car, put the cup in the cup holder and lo and behold two more times coffee spews out of the top of the lid all through my cup holder before Ive even left your carpark. Seriously your customers skills are woeful, your cups are rubbish and i'm now the proud owner of a car with coffee all through it and a coffee stained seat, centre car console, carpets and clothes. And the coffee didn't even taste good! Burnt, hot and over extracted. I'll never be back after that experience.

Great service and beautiful presentation BUT I did find the meat a little to fatty for my liking and thought the food could be warmer. Other than that I would come back for their sweet bites and smoothies!
Candice Stewart
I've come here for food before and loved it. I've heard so much about their donuts that i finally decided to come give it a try as well and IT IS WORTH THE HYPE. Can't believe it took me this long to try it!
Irene Glutzmen
It’s quite overrated, food is bland and not value for money. Been there a few times and every single time, I leave feeling unsatisfied. It’s just hyped up because of the presentation/nice IG photos. Not worth it.
Natalie Dolan
Every time I come here, I have an awesome experience. And I come here a lot. The brisket burger (pictured beneath) is awesome, and the meat is so sweet and smokey and delicious. The Balinese black stick rice is also an amazing vegan option, as is the tropical smoothie. Furthermore, Little Sister's coffee is by far the best coffee in this part of Auckland. I get a soy latte, because I like to fit perfectly into the mould of a white girl. However, they are absolute wizards and I've yet to have a burnt or bitter cuppa. If you've not been, GO. If you can find parking, that is!
Chan Can Eat
WOW first impression- NOT GOOD
What a shame, as this place has awesome potential.
The young girl with the nose piercing has some attitude on her! What an absolute shame & liability to this business. She started the whole experience off on a bad tone. I won’t go into detail....

There’s no table service here which is a little annoying, but not the end of the world. So you can’t order or pay without going up to the counter.
The storage area before the toilets is dirty and some of the food is stored here, kind of gross experience- I’m glad this happend after my meal though.

The only reason I haven’t given this place a 2 star is we had 2 friendly waiters and the cabinet food is absolutely Devine.
My meal of a vegetarian big breakfast was fairly substandard to be honest and the coffee wasn’t great, I didn’t finish it all which is very rare for me.
The burger looked pretty good and so did the crumble.... so they definitely had some redeeming features.
I won’t be back in a hurry. But I’d suggest you give it a try, for their donuts Atleast!
Tina H
Great coffee, great food. They had such an extensive range in their cabinets, I wanted to try them all. The goodies tasted as good as they looked! I live quite far, but will def be back!

Great service and great food! Love the presentation of all the dishes and especially enjoyed the cream-filled bonbon.

Very distinctive decoration. Definitely one of the better cafes in the area. Perfect place to relax and enjoy lunch with friends.

Best cream jam donut I have had, so fluffy and creamy. Beef brisket burger wad huge, meat was tender and flavourful, the kumara chips was really good too.
Tony Ma
Great service great vibe.

The food is absolutely fantastic and delicious. I loved the fish with risotto. The risotto was cooked perfectly and texture was magnificent.

The presentation spot on not over the top and insta friendly.

Try the cream jam bob bon too! Highly recommended.

I love the place. Will definitely be back again.

Service: 5/5
Presentation: 5/5
Environment: 4.5/5
Food Quality: 5/5
Food Quantity: 5/5

Price per person: $15-$25

Such a wonderful little cafe, got all the fresh delicious food and drinks. Friendly service made my day better too. Dessert with cream and jam was awsome.must try

Have seen rave reviews about this cafe so finally went a couple of weeks ago. There is only 10 allocated parking spaces. Lots of signs advising towing if parked in other spaces. (There was sign instore advising to park at Morrisons across the road)

Cafe itself is smaller than expected. Very cluttered with objects. Most table arrangements are for 2, there were a couple of bigger tables. Also some outdoor seating. Lots of cabinet food:sandwhiches, salads, sweet treats. All looked very pretty. There is a cooked menu.

My sister had the small Caesar Salad $9 (she said she liked it) I had the Cajun Chicken & Bacon Croissant. Chicken was plain, no spice. Bacon was decent. There was also spinach, plum sauce and camembert cheese. Underwhelmed. Iced Mocha $8 just a cold coffee with a hint of chocolate sauce at the bottom.

As a whole, I wouldn't come back here. Too difficult to get a park, food average, generally not a fan.
Image may contain: food

This little cafe has become a regular for both my sister and I. The food is incredible, always fresh and lots of healthy options. The staff are always so friendly, genuinely want to know how you are doing and always make you want come back. It can be very popular during the weekend, so is important to think about the time that you plan on going. Can’t recommend enough!
Aless
Had to check out the hype surrounding Little Sisters Cafe and it was very packed when I went for Sunday brunch. My friend and I were very satisfied with our meals, her opting for a vegan option which she said was delicious and I ordered pancakes. The presentation is very well done and the food is equally as good.
Trish
Love it here. Always consistent and amazing. Food cabinet is full and lush. Coffee is great! This is my mums favourite brunch spot out west.
Kealy Mathews
Favourite cafe. Mish mash definitely the best🙌🏼 once had a stone fruit special and was soooo good, hoping they make that permanent on the menu. Yummy bevy’s and never any problems with my meals. Supporting local😍
Ashley Tran
Food is delicious. The cafe is so lovely. Staffs are so friendly. However, I m struggle to have a car park. Hopefully, the cafe can solve it out.
Hannah
This place is local for me and is always really reliable for a decent feed, and some good coffee! I usually order something from their vegetarian options and I really like the sticky black rice they do, which is vegan. Their matcha latte is good too. The staff are really lovely and always come out to see my dog which is really sweet. 👼🏼

Dropped in for a tea and coffee and a light bite. Great counter service, didn't wait long for food and drinks and it wasn't too busy, but overall great place to catchup with friends and family.
Will Nono
There is no customer service provided in this cafe. All the things I have to do by myself. But the food there are suitable to take photos. And it is suitable to post the pictures on Instagram as well. The food is not tasty. The ingredients which adopted for food are low quality. Jamaica chicken is too dry and I cannot taste any juicy from it. Even KFC is better than this one. The most ridiculous thing is they cooked the scrambled egg by microwave.
Xin Ma
It’s one the top cafe in west Auckland. Their food is great for taking photo. But here has no any customer service. You must find seat by yourself and grab the cold water by yourself. Now very few cafes don’t do any customers service, but this cafe is, and their neighbor Keeme cafe either.
Chris Gorringe
Great little cafe in Henderson. Great service from staff, quick coffee delivery and the food is just next level. It shows in the way they present the food how passionate the team here are about food and proud to work at little sister. thankyou for being my trusted go to.
Tiffany Yarrku
Awesome place for a cup of coffee. Definately the best cafe in west. Thanks to my Lovely barista Michael who recently offered myself a new blend and wht to expect from it. I really like the new blend as well as the old one as long as its you making.
I would be coming back end of this year!!
Stay tuned!

It's been quite a while since I've been here and I'm over a year late in uploading this review. This cafe has a longstanding reputation out west as being one of the better brunch spots in the area with their friendly service, exquisite food & playful presentation. I've had their hotcakes which are extremely good, top it with pashmak & you've got yourself a winner!! This place is notoriously known to draw crowds, & with only so much room to work with, you may want to plan your next visit if you're thinking of dining in.
Saasha
Came here for brunch and was amazed! Didnt go with high expectations but I was happy with what we got! What a cute little cafe! Will have to come back to try the donuts though, they look divine!
Karen
We came here for a Sunday brunch last weekend and got pancakes and eggs benny. The pancakes were amazing! Nice and fluffy and had chocolate through them which was a nice little surprise. I’ve heard the donuts are to die for so will be back to try those one day!

Nice little cafe, always full of people.........Ordered the big sister breakfast... was delicious and the portion very big. Will definitely be back again.........
Jessi Clancey-Peetz
Such a great brunch spot out West! Would be even more ideal if they had a slightly bigger location as it is always full but the food is always to die for, so always worth it!

This little cafe is known for its beautiful presentation. However, I cannot even fault the taste of the food served!!! Amazing! Thank you Little Sister Cafè for always delivering.
Paul McDonald
I had brunch in this cafe. The food there served with beautiful presentation. I ordered a big breakfast it just costs 19.5 New Zealand dollars. I even cannot finish it therefore I assume it is quite reasonable. Highly recommend this cafe and should be come back.

Came here not expecting much but holy cow - I was not disappointed! The ambience was 5/5, it had a very nature-y and fresh feel to the atmosphere. I had french toast with bacon and it was sooooo delicious and filling, which was surprising because most cafe food I have still leaves me hungry. The iced chocolate was also delish and nicely garnished with marshmallows and chocolate powder. Would come back again to try more dishes :-)

One of my go to cafés! I love their scrambled eggs on sourdough toast with some avo on the side. A simple and classic brekkie dish done well. I also LOVE matcha lattes and Little Sister has a really good one. It’s creamy and milky yet you still get a hit of matcha with a hint of cinnamon. Their cabinet food and baking is aesthetically pleasing and very delish! Parking is quite limited right outside the café especially during busy periods.
Food2belly
Pizza was super soft and flavourful. The slice was the star, best slice I have had, tangy and not too sweet. Food is reasonably priced with a range of cabinet food if you not up for a big breakfast.
The "magical sister" eggplant, Halloumi, mushroom, beetroot puree, roasted capisicum, grilled potato and quinoa. The flavours were so we'll balanced, creamy sweet and salty from the Halloumi. Wish they had more halloumi, I finished it all before I saw the bottom of the plate.
The vegetarian quiche was so yum the pastry was flakey and buttery. The filling was flavourful and I loved the salsa and salad on the side. This is my go to brunch location when I am out west.
Duchess_Arg
Had brunch on a Sunday in this cafe with my husband. We ordered the big brother burger, definitely a must try. I loved it! The crispy thinly sliced kumara chips is a treat. Also, we had the thai style fish, my husband enjoyed it though I still prefer the burger. I’m a coffee lover but that time the sun was extremely hot so I had the iced mocha. Overall it was a nice experience. Though the cafe was busy and the staff didn’t guide us when we arrived.
Food: 4
Service: 3.5
Affordability: 3.5
Machu
super cute place, staff are friendly, and food is always delicious! only issue is parking is very limited and cafe is quite busy so can be difficult to get a table. this is my go to cafe with friends when in the area!

A bit of a drive for Aucklanders who don’t live out West, Little Sister Café is a must for foodies. Before I got into how great the café was in terms of its mood and ambience I must point out that parking here can be a bit of a struggle. Arriving at the café you’ll assume that the parking lot next to the café would be free for all but unfortunately the carparks are spilt off for the different businesses around the café. I found this to be terribly frustrating so just a warning to foodies.

Apart from delicious food what you’ll find is that everything is so dam grammable! The café has a bustling atmosphere and the décor of a independent café with character makes for an excellent experience. Warning the custard filled doughnuts here are a danger for your bellies but an aphrodisiac for the mind.

I’ve been 3 times now and never have Little Sister failed to deliver a delicious and great experience.
Theresa
Went there at about 2pm Saturday afternoon. I understand it’s bit late. So there’s very less cabinet food available. But donut is really nice! Enjoyed! But there was no table available for a while....... have to takeaway. This is a bit sad.
Tanya Chalermtip
Beautiful, healthy and quality food! I'm usually not into healthy food but I need to say that their food is really nice. Beautifully presented and taste good :)
Edwar Changwai
Good food and coffee. Usually would give 4/5 stars but on Saturday 12/01/2019.
Me and my father's coffee however was left waiting and got Abit cold. No staff thought to bring it to us or call out that our order had been made. I don't really like warm to cool coffee. Also since this location has become more popular and no expansion as of yet seems Abit more crowded and limited carpark space for customers
Carol
Came here on Sat, always crowded, not that easy to find a carpark. But food is tasty and the staff are nice and helpful. A good place for brunch.
Bex Ellis
Lovely little cafe. Pleasant service and very fast. The eggs Benedict with salmon was tasty and just the right amount. I would have preferred the music to not be so loud but I’m old haha. The coffee as always wasn’t great if you’re an espresso drinker. They served a long black that was weak and burnt instead of an espresso. Go for the food.
Celeste
Wonderful customer service, coffee & a wide range of delicious food options to suit every dietary need or experience. Their range of Organic Lattès; Tumeric, Beetroot or Mi Chai are the best!
Food Lover
After many failed attempts to visit this place (only because they are always sooo busy), we finally managed to get in at the right time to land an empty table without having to wait 😊 It’s a local and I always drive past it on my way to work and it’s always jam packed with people. I just had to checkout why the fuss is and boy was I blown away. Not only are there staff who are genuine, friendly and just so helpful but the food is top notch 👌 Everything we ordered from their coffee to their food is nothing less than excellent. Just so tasty and hands down one of the best West Auckland cafe’s. I meant the name, “Little Sister Cafe” itself gives you the feeling of warmth and comfort and once you enter you are no short of this. If you’re a Westie and you need that perfect breakkie, brunch or lunch on a lazy Sunday (or any other day for that matter) you must try this place. My only warning, it may take some patience to wait to be seated as they don’t take table bookings yet unfortunately.
Irene Vea
This place is AMAZING... service is always on point, food is just too damn delicious! However just a small little issue with parking. Not much parking space however with the food being so damn good i will park at the trust stadium and walk if I have to lol highly recommend this little spot!
Daisy Browning
Cute lil spot with amazing coffee! Also love spending my money where it’s going to a good cause, and this coffee shop partners with its coffee growers for a better life. I love it!
CCS
The food here is excellent! There are so many choices of pastries that it’s always difficult to figure out what to eat. They’re always quite tasty and never quite overboard with the sugar like some places.

Parking is a bit of a nightmare and the little place is always full of people. It’s a super popular place.

The coffee beans seem to be the let down but the barista knows how to pour a good coffee and make a long Black properly.
Irene Cullen
This place has some yummy food and the cafe it's self has a very chic setting it's great for a little get together with some good company :)
Display cabinet looked amazing- will have to return for lunch. I like my coffee hot, sadly it wasn’t. Caramel coconut slice good. Lovely cafe, staff nice.
Kristie Edwards
The best eggs benedict in west Auckland, what a treat! Our food and drinks came super fast! Awesome service! Would definitely come here again!!!

The staff and owners are friendly. I love this place, the fried rice is so delicious. The staff is great at making you feel like one of the regulars. Cozy setting, good beer, reasonable prices and always good music playing.
Great spot for great food at good prices. Cool owners and staff
Julia
Always busy place where i been here.
But i know why many people like here. All staff is very active and coffee is good flavour for me.
Lots of choice savory too.
Ken Lees
There was a good selection of food in the cabinet. We had coffee and tea, both good. The pie was fine. The Mish Mash Hash was really very good and I would happily order again.
Natsz62
Always get the Magic sister breakfast, best vegetarian breakfast I’ve had from any cafe. Been here a few times and they are definitely consistent with both the quality and presentation of their food.
Rosanne Choy
Came in for breakfast today. Had a look at the cabinet food and decided to order from there instead of the menu. We got the chicken pesto sandwich, almond croissant and raspberry white chocolate cheesecake. The raspberry white chocolate cheesecake tasted amazing. Loved every bite of it. The chicken pesto was creamy and the bread wasn't soggy at all. In fact, I reckon the bread tasted really fresh and delicious. The almond croissant was at the perfect sweetness but was a bit to hard on the outside. Raspberry cheesecake base was really soft. The sourness of the raspberry and the sweetness of the white chocolate worked amazingly well. Loved the atmosphere. 5/5 cafe.
Khoi Nguyen
Been in for a quickie coffee, not bad let say
Food just seem boring and not much change after long time.
Must have change ownership or so? Feel different
Nina
The Butterscotch BonBon— Yum, delicious butterscotch frosting filled with a vanilla custard.

The Decaf long black —- Tasted like water , coffee flavoured water. It’s hard finding a good decaf, and this place isn’t for that. Coffee was super weak.

Not rating this , but... Too crowded at times, not enough parking spaces, parking elsewhere even in weekends could result in clamping or a tow. Recommend parking away or being dropped off especially on weekends.
Steve Hall
Went in for breakfast and fast service and seems a busy popular place, I went for the breakfast called the mish mash hash and was amazing , probably my favourite ever breakfast now . Corned beef shredded and the crispy fried on edges with potato pesto spinach and more. A dob of sour cream would go well with the this
Tong Ly
Quick service and friendly staff. Good food and probably the best coffee I have had. Would highly recommend.

Always seems to be full so get in early to try the food.
I personally had the Harissa Rubbed Lamb Rump and it was 10/10
I'm Hungry
Was very busy on Saturday morning. Looks like favorite in the neighborhood. Brioche was good, croissant was big but ok, coffee was strong. Menu was not exceptional or selection was average. Service was ok and staff was nice.
Nika Januszkiewicz
Staff were so lovely, helpful, and fun! Food was absolutely excellent. Menu food all looked amazing for both meat eaters and veggies. It was also super reasonably priced. As well as this cabinet food looked amazing. Coffee was 10/10. Overall the vibe of the place was super relaxed, positive, and enjoyable!!! Would highly reccomend

A new find and a little gem serving excellent coffee, delicious cakes and servers. Though small, the layout works well. Good place to grab some quick down time in the hustle!
João Plácido
Came here for a Saturday breakfast. We ordered the eggs Benedict and the parfait.
Although the dishes were very well arranged they didn't surprise when it comes to flavour.
Despite this, it's a very nice, small and crowdy place with friendly staff and nice design.
Invercargill
Can't give any rate for this coffee shop.
Been there this afternoon,
Coffee was bloody watery.
Kids had hot chocolate they said what am I drinking right now is it hot chocolate or milk with chocolate flavour.
They might find someone who can stim the milk properly.
Totally wasted money and time.
Been waiting for over a year to find the need to travel from the Shore to Henderson so that I could try out this place. However, with increasing publicity and hype of this place I figured I would travel the distance solely to try this cafe out!

First off, this cafe is cosy meaning although small, they try to accommodate as many people as they can. Coming in a Saturday morning was challenging due to the amount of people here. So much so that there was a line out the door. The turnover was very fast. Upon entering the cafe, no one was able to greet us and did not explain that the menus were at the entrance.

We selected a range of common brunch dishes including their vegetarian big breakfast (the magic sister), the eggs Benedict with cured salmon and the bagel board. All was very delicious and portion size was spot on. The highlight was the cured salmon. The colour and taste is unlike any other cafe brunch I have tried and I highly recommend anyone who loves salmon as much as I do to come try it for themselves. The coffee was made well- a nod to the barista!

Decor is homey and freshened with plants. The windows that extend up to the ceiling brought in light that contributed to the ambiance.

All in all, love this place and would definitely visit again if I am in the area.

A hidden gem. The dine in experience is superb, but I've also had the cabinet food from here and it tastes so good.
The staff are always friendly and service is really good.
Definetly recommend for a good breakfast in Henderson

The customer service here is good and there is always a good vibe plus the food is great. Highly recommend but get in early as place always seems to be busy.

Little sister cafe is truly amazing! Have been there a few times now and the food never disappointed me. Staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is great. Would definitely recommend to everyone!

Wow, what an experience, good food, great portions, adequately priced. The choice was Magic Sister, Jamaican Jerk Chicken and PBJHot Cakes. All were outstanding. Diners be mindful of parking and some waiting. Gets very busy
All round great Cafe and atmosphere
Antonia
Great service. Great food. I got a porridge type thing, as well as a cacao smoothie. Small cafe, but very nice and cosy. Totally recommend Little Sister Cafe.

**Review edited from ** to *** as I have received a refund for my meal so it is apparent that Little Sister cares about customer satisfaction and I have previously had good experiences with them!

Unfortunately, my friends and I had quite an unpleasant experience at Little Sister 😞 I have been here a couple of times previously and absolutely loved it! However since then the menu has changed and things were very different. I ordered a vegetarian dish with quinoa, roasted vegetables and poached eggs. It looked amazing on arrival but I was very disappointed! Firstly, I noticed that the quinoa was almost swimming in a pool of water, it was soggy and had no flavour! Next, I cut open one egg to find that it was extremely undercooked (I love runny yolks but NOT whites 🤢) and the runny egg whites spread all over my entire meal, basically ruining it! I ended up eating one roasted potato at the bottom and leaving the rest of the meal. My friends both ordered the pork burger, and were told that it was made with “pulled pork.” The burger was actually made with a huge chunk of pork that was 50% chewy white pork fat. It was extremely disappointing for all of us and we all ate barely any of our meals. I understand that it was very busy, however, none of the staff came out to ask how our meals were so we decided to just leave without commenting. We were extremely disappointed and will not be returning. If you do come to Little Sister, I would recommend getting a sweet item off the menu (e.g. hot cakes or muesli) as when I have had that it was great! But this time it was awful. Also, be aware that it is extremely crowded, especially in the weekend so don’t go with a big group!!

We drove all the way across town, felt like going out of town to visit Little Sister Cafe - worth it!
When we got there the line was out the door but I must say, turn over is so fast and efficient it didn't take long to get seated at all. It's a small but quaint and cosy corner cafe.
Let's start with the best dish of the day, Kumara shavings with aoili. Sounds interesting and looks tasteless but definitely the star of the show for us! So tasty, crispy fried shavings paired perfectly with the aoili it's a real treat and I will not fail to order this every time I visit.
On a whole the food was very tasty, fresh and hot. We ordered the Big Sister, Magic Sister and Field of shrooms. The field of mushrooms was a stand out dish for me as it wasn't the lame button mushrooms on bread. There was a really proper mix of types of shrooms from fungi to portobello, very different and impressive.
Now let's not forget the dessert too finish the meal a butterscotch custard donut from the window, a little doughy for my liking but the filling was absolute delish!
All in all, great efficient service, good food and lovely vibe even in a miserable rainy day.
Worth driving over an hr to visit again? Most definitely.
Saw all the amazing reviews so thought we'd see what all the fuss was about... the coffee wasn't that great and although the food was good my eggs Benedict was swimming in hollandaise... and it was way too busy and noisy. Their cakes and cabinet food looked amazing though.
Matthew Wallis
I really nice cafe with fresh food and bubbly staff. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed I meal. Menu has a good range, something for everyone!

Taking the bogan out of west Auckland one delicious bite at a time.
Was already full from the burger but shared a louise slice from the cabinet anyway. A great poor life decision 10/10 would do again

Stunning food - really clever, and individual. I found it to be reasonably priced for the standard of their food. I’ll definitely eat here again, it’s a shame about the cramped space and how crowded it gets by it’s not surprising considering the quality of what they’re serving.
Victoria Taua
Delicious coffee and food. I ordered the Jamaican jerk chicken, soy latte and white chocolate raspberry slice. All equally great. My sister ordered the hot cakes and let's just say she won't be ordering them again.

Great little cafe , service is always top quality and the food is consistently tastey. A wee bit pricey but as stated before it is yummy . Parking is a bit of a hassle though as there is limited parking spaces. Every time I go it is always packed which is proof that it is a great cafe. Would definitely recommend.

Went for lunch around 1.30pm on a Saturday so naturally the cafe was packed. Managed to get a good table as people left, but the cafe in general is a bit squished.

We ordered the Warehou Fish, Jamaican Jerk Chicken and the Lamb Rump lunch mains. The bill came to $60 (no drinks). The guy at the counter was a bit flustered (understandable as it was super busy) but still lovely and friendly, so were the other staff. Wait was a tad long as expected with the rush.

The Jamaican jerk chicken was absolutely delicious! Came with really good salads, and presented really nicely. The board was a little annoying to eat on though as everything was spilling. The lamp rump with harissa was also very tasty, lamb slightly chewy however. The fish main was a let down as it was quite bland, definitely needed more Thai paste for the amount of fish they gave. We mixed some of the sauces given with the chicken, for the fish to make it more tasty.

Overall though really good portion sizes, and tasty food. Excited to come back to try breakfast menu.

My favourite West Auckland local! Great, wholesome breakfast options and beautiful cabinet food. The only downside is how busy this place gets...
Miss T
The food was delicious and staff were helpful and friendly. Wonderful to see lots of vegetarian options. Serving size was also good value for price. It a quite busy on a Sunday but wait time was acceptable. I will be back :) your waffles are to die for

Very disappointed! Used to come here a lot because there was always a great variety of food and everything tasted good. Doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. Cabinet food was nowhere near as exciting as it used to be, so I ordered one of my favourites from their menu - hotcakes. Noticed the presentation of it wasn’t quite the same as before, but tasted nothing like what it used to, it was dry and tasteless. The decorations on their blackboard is also completely different so maybe they are under new ownership, but I definitely won’t be going back anytime soon.

The place was suuuper busy when I got there that I could not get a table. Waited outside for a bit and then got seated straight away. Staff was very friendly even though it must have been super stressful and service was very quick. Food looked and tasted amazing!
Gareth Neilson
Beautifully prepared meals and cabinet food. Very busy and a bit cramped. But reliable quality at a reasonable price. Field mushrooms, sticky black rice, their big breakfast and vegetarian big breakfasts are all recommended.

Hoping it was worth the drive and with numerous good reviews, we made our way to Little sister café. The first thing we noticed walking in was the giant cream filled donuts and thick caramel slices piled up in and on top of the cabinet…so far so good!

Full to the brim we managed to get a table after a short wait. The service felt a little flat and the lady that took our order seemed flustered trying to get through the long line of customers. We ordered the Field mushroom and the Magic sister. The field mushroom was far from boring with so much on one plate – slow roasted eggplant, gourmet potatoes, grilled halloumi, quinoa, poached egg topped off with a beetroot feta puree. Healthy! But delicious and everything paired together nicely. My partner ordered the Magic sister with contained most of the same ingredients as the Field mushroom but without the visual appeal – more like a big breakfast kind of look.

If this café was closer to home we’d visit more often. If your after healthier alternatives to often heavy café food, then give this place ago. But on another note their sweet treats are worth the visit alone. To be honest I’m not sure how we managed to leave without one!
Rachel
Yum yum! Loved the food, great atmosphere and very good service! Only downfall is restricted parking. But there are friendly signs up everywhere around this and you can see your car from the window.
I had the eggs benedict - mmmm! My son had the pancakes which were really nice and not overly sweet, mum-in-law had this beetroot dish with breadcrumbs and she was highly impressed. The cabinet food looked really, really good too! Will definitely be back!

Little Sister Cafe is a wonderful cosy shop where you don't expect to find it. Nice variety of food, quite good prices and there are so many people that sometimes you need to wait some minutes to take a seat... but it is totally worth it! Customer service is really good, sometimes you can understand that they are a little bit stressed, but who wouldn't be working non-stop with that amount of customers!
Kylaa Abraham
eggs bene and cacao smoothie is Devine 😍😍 best cafe in west Auckland great service 👐👐 love the pancakes aswell. sooo goooood. diffinately top 5 in my list

Yum yum yum!
What a cute little cafe full of goodies!
We went on a Saturday around 1 pm... Based on reviews we expected it to be very busy, but we just hit the jackpot as a few people were leaving as we arrived!
The line to order was just long enough for us to read the menu so we were ready to order as soon as we got to the counter 😊
We got a little table inside. I kid you not, the coffee took 3min and the food took 5min to arrive! Super impressed!Staff were lovely.
I ordered The Big Sister (big breakfast) without the toast and potatoes and they happily added mushrooms on for free for me! My friend got the hotcakes. Food was super yum! The hotcakes looked especially good.
Would definitely go back due to the ease and affordability of eating Keto!
(there was also some delicious looking cabinet treats such as doughnuts, quiches, slices, meringues)
Cherish D'Cotta
Cute little cafe with a lot of character. Love the cosy ambience and food was yummy. Very colourful variety of cabinet food. Something different compared to normal cafes.
Siobhan Anderson
Absolutely love the pancakes here 😍 My favourite all time thing to order when coming here. However, such a little space and hardly any parking (especially for a very popular place). Hopefully they are thinking of expanding sometimes in the near future.
Hardysweden
Great service, very friendly.

Chocolate brownie was great, and lemon meringue was just the right amount of sweet and sour, little bit over on the cream, but still tasted great.

Coffee was nice and hot, and hit the spot for a cold day like today.

Will definitely stop in more often and try all it has to offer.

Everything looks great and clean, dated but clean
Telia Lepa-Bonner
V good first in first serve rule! The food is delicious, I got the pork belly burger and was not disappointed. The best pork burger I've had. At first, I was confused by the crisps instead of the traditional fries but it actually makes sense, it's much lighter and I felt way less bloated afterward. Staff are friendly and the ambience/aesthetic is enjoyable. Mum also seemed to enjoy the cabinet food !!
Hansi Dissanayake
Probably the best brekkie I’ve had out West! Such a cute little spot with lots of seating inside, lovely staff and food came out pretty quickly! Food is very good quality and at a decent price. I ordered poached eggs on toast with bacon and hollandaise sauce. Super filling and very delicious. They also have an array of cabinet food that all looked so tasty, I will definitely give them a go next time. Little Sister Cafe is awesome!
Melody Schaumkell
Delicious food at reasonable prices however the cafe is always packed with people which leaves the seating area limited so can't sit down and enjoy meal.
Laila.basiri
Their food is always amazing, friendly staff and an awesome customer service. The place is a bit small but very antique, warm and welcoming :)

I have heard a few good comments from associates about this place. So while out Westside on an early Sat. morning I thought I'll pay Little Sister a visit.
It is not a very big place, thankfully there were only 2 - 4 people there. But I hear it gets busy from 10am onwards.
Glancing over the menu and decided on the tumeric infused omelette. It arrived in a mini skillet with green salad on the side. The omelette tasted fluffy and wasn't over cooked...I enjoyed it. Atomosphere was quaint and quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely recommend this cafe to friends.🤙🤙
Bianca Ratima
Huge range of coffee and drinks. Nice menu with some standards and not so standard offerings. Amazing sweet treats if you need sugar hit definately a good spot.to visit. Also good range of cabinet food it nit after a full meal :)
Ms Jones
Came here for breakfast on my way to work. Got in early as I’d heard about the parking situation or lack thereof. Cute little cafe tucked away on Central Park Drive. Decided to go with the eggs benedict with cured salmon. It was lovely. The coffee was nice albeit rather watery. Service was friendly. I will be back, those hotcakes and the cabinet food look with the trip alone!
Alison
Best eggs Benedict I’ve ever had!! The cafe is really busy but the staff are still helpful. The place also looks really good. For 18$ the eggs bene was definitely worth it
Belle
We had a really delightful experience here. The service was fantastic, the food was delicious, everything was spotless.
I tried their a poached egg and I'm going back to try the rest of the menu very soon.
Nice food and friendly service
Alice Alltaleb
Me and my partner favorite place. We always come on Sunday, even it’s crowded, the foods are always service on high standard! The coffee is good as well! Definitely come again and again!
A27.svsv
Yummy food. Especially enjoy the hot cakes, scrambled eggs and cheesy mite scrolls. Only problem is there's not usually much space to sit down in the cafe on the weekends
Matthew O'Connor
Just the place to go to spend $10 on a soggy microwaved tartlet that couldn't be eaten for 10 minutes. Just the place to wait 10 minutes for it when asking to take it away. Just the place to watch 5 very disorganised people making a mess of things. Just the place.
Paul O
An inventive menu and delicious execution makes Little Sister a winner. With the bonus of top notch service and consistent coffee, it's easy to why LS is popular. I highly recommend the omelette - tasty as.
Dxlche
We ordered the Field Mushrooms and the Thai Beef Salad. Just under $40 in total.
The mushrooms dish also had quinoa, halloumi, eggplant, rocket, red pepper and potato. Usually I get something like Eggs Benedict at Cafe, so today I ventured out of my comfort Zone. The mushrooms were pretty good but the dish was a bit oily. I completely forgot that eggplant and mushroom are best when they are fried.
Very filling and pretty worth for the price. With an extra $4 you can also get 2 poached free range eggs or bacon.
The atmosphere is pretty cosy here, you order at the counter and take a number to sit down where they then deliver to the table.
Their counter had some amazing baked goods. I had my eye on a large cookie that looked really soft and a giant meringue. But in the end was too full from the dish.

Been here twice now both times have been superb! Love the outfit of the place has really cool decorations. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Great coffee AMAZING selection of cakes and food is A+++++
Neelam Chandra
The staff here aren't as attentive which is the only reason im giving this place a 4 and not a 5.
Ordered the hotcakes and the big breakfast which was presented beautifully and tasted delicious.
I appreciate getting to choose which bread you'd like to accompany the big breakfast and sourdough was the go to winner.
Apart from the service the food is high quality and comes out quick. Definitely recommend
Justin Luisi
Food was hot and prompt which i like. I dont remember the names of the dishes i ordered but they were vegetarian and tasted great. I posted 5 pix and they totally speak for themselves. Service was ok and my overall feel of the place was tight and revealing but that could've just been the clothes i was wearing today lol😅. My Chai was a lil cold and staff were moving like a well oiled machine which isn't a bad thing and the place was busy at the time so i gave a 4 out of 5 rating. The highlight for my visit today though was the cakes😍😍😍 omg I'll definitely be back to more hahaha. Thanks #LittleSister I'll be back😘xx

Food, coffee and service is all great. It's the location and size that lets it down big time. No parks unless you're game to take other tenants spots.
Claire & Dan
Presentation was beautiful, and came out very quickly - but it didn't taste nearly as good as it looked. I also found staff to be quite rude.
Tanisha Kumar
Absolutely loved this place. Food is impeccable and service was excellent. They initially gave me the wrong order, but changed it once I let them know I ordered something else without any fuss!!

Highly recommend. Also try their coconut and caramel slice ❤️
Alysha Bower
Went here with my partner for brunch on Sunday, the cafe is really cute and welcoming. There is a big display cabinet filled with delicious looking treats and lots of tables for customers to sit at.

The staff here are very friendly, welcome everyone as they walk in pointing out where the menus are and invite you up to the counter so you can place your order.

The food is amazing! I had the cheesy mite brioche (sooo good!!) and my partner had the black sticky rice pudding. I had a mouthful of his and it was divine. Only let down was the coffee. Mine was quite bitter and so was his.

Would definitely come back to try more of their delicious food!!
Emma Willie Wilson
Parking isn't always available outside the cafe, but across the traffic lights there's always plenty of parks. Apart from that the food is amazing. A lot to choose from!
Catering from coffee, snacks and savouries, through to desserts and hearty sit-down meals.
Coffee is perfection.
Ambience is nice too and staff are very friendly and approachable!
Thabitha Singh
Cosy little cafe with some exciting cabinet food! I Had to get the Nutella cream donut! I was expecting some creative concoctions on the menu as I have had some goodies at Hello Friends and Allies but sadly disappointed at my options so I stuck to the cabinet.
Alana Olliff
Just outstanding food. So so hard to pick. Service is fantastic. If only the seating area was bigger or more parking. But the food gets a 5 out of 5 always
Rochelle Brereton
I LOVE places like this - full cabinet stocked to the brim with so many different options that I struggle to decide. I've been here twice now and each time it has been insanely busy but that's because they're so good! Their food is amazing and great coffee too 👍
Niamh Slattery
Never again.stopped in around half two today and not too busy few groups and we were able sit and grab a menu and five mins after arriving tried to order behind a group of four and was told I couldn't as the kitchen was closed .. Even though they just took an order . so I asked to get a take away coffee they put in a normal cup and then just popped it in a take away, not that great either . never again staff weren't very helpful and was not happy with no excuse to not take one kitchen order of some eggs on toast when another bigger order was on .
Missis Missy
Had an almond croissant and almond latte here. The latte was ok but the croissant was good! Its a cute cafe and the cabinet food looks delicious. Will come here again.
Angel Cueva
Although it's always busy, this place has the best ambience and service.
This is my go-to when I need a pick me up in the week from all the stress from university.
SB
Went here for brunch on a Saturday morning. The cafe was quite busy but we managed to get a table. I had the big breakfast which was delicious and the coffee was good as well. The food was quick to come out and the service was friendly. There were so many things to choose from the display counter which was nice to see as many place don't have a variety. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.
Abbey Lissaman
Lovely lunch at a busy little cafe! Obviously very popular with the locals, a steady stream of people coming in for takeaway food and coffees. Service was pretty good, considering they were so busy, and there wasn't a huge wait for food. Menu seemed more towards the brunch side, lots of eggs, but they have a large cabinet filled with wonderful looking pies and tarts and salads, as well as tons of slices and cakes for after! We ordered off the menu. I'd highly recommend the field mushrooms, which came with so many delicious elements like beetroot hummus, haloumi, and poached egg. Colourful and flavourful! The 'big sister' big breakfast and the spare ribs were also enjoyable. Portion sizes were great! Coffee was great! And the blueberry sour cream cake was great! Overall worth a trip to Henderson, for a great meal at a bustling lively and lovely cafe.
Hester Gabrielle Colmar Pierard
Been here 3 times to eat now and every time it's amazing! At my work this is where we get our coffee run. Food is always sooo tasty and fresh and very large portions. You definitely get what you pay for. Lovely vibe inside and amazing staff! Always sooo packed so make sure you get there early! Also love their savoury brioche with bacon so yum 👅 this place is a must go!!
Bella Luv Food
Always have good experience with this lovely and cozy coffee shop. The price is very reasonable and the bakery is awesome. I love the cream cheese brioche. Very busy at the weekend but worth the wait.
Johnny
Amazing. Always busy, like always....such a popular place with good food and coffee. Shame it's such a small premise, the things they could do with a little more food. Perfect place for west auckland!
Edi NT
One of the best cafe around Henderson. It is just nice to have some variety of combination between food and good coffee. Many choices. The location is just on the corner. Plenty space for car parking. Recommended and will always comeback.
Yaz
First of all! Great staff!! Really friendly and smiley! The place itself is situated in a great location however I do find it doesn't have a lot of parking and yeah! But the interior and exterior both are well decorated and aesthetically pleasing. Store is kept clean and tables regularly cleaned up and wiped down!

Ordered lots of things and all were reallly lovely! Can't say anything bad about the food! It's just so soo good! Great pricing for everything, and the serving portions are so good! We took away things we couldn't finish!

As a recommendation of what to eat, in the left fridge they sometimes have a Thai roll thing it's really good! Also the shakes are so goood and "Insta Worthy". But give everything a go!

Great place for kids to satisfy their sugar rush as well haha.

Will be back for sure! Keep up great work.
Sydney
Little sister cafe is the perfect place for brunch! I love their ricotta hotcakes, they're so yummy. 10/10 would visit again, there's so many other foods I need to try. Staff are super friendly and provide quick service.
Mandy C
Came here for breakfast one morning. Nice busy cafe, but not a lot of parking inside or off street. We had to drive around for 15 mins before seeing someone pull out of their park. Coffee was brewed perfectly and breakfast selection was amazing. Their cabinet food looked great. I would be here more but it's so busy here that it just takes so long to get a park.
Leticia Andrews
My partner and I enjoyed a brunch at the little sister cafe. The place seemed to be very popular with a line of about 10 people out The door. They had good service and I was impressed with how quick our food came out considering it was a very busy little cafe. Food was well presented.
Caitlin Noonan
Really enjoy the menu at little sister Cafe. It's usually super busy so there is sometimes a wait, although it is worth it and I don't mind waiting with my drink for the food. Yummy breakfast and the cabinet food looks amazing. It's a really nice weekend spot for brunch
Miriam
I love this place .. everytime my husband asked me where I want togo for breakfast this is the only place that pops up in my head . I tried maybe at least 5 things from their menu but the one thing I always go back and ordered was their ricotta pancakes. I thought it was the most delicious pancakes I have ever had in Auckland. I also love their coffee, I always go here for a coffee takeaway if we happen to pass the place . Also their doughnuts and brownies and other delicious goodness are to die for . The only negative I have about this place is the space , it can get a little too crowded and because its very popular sometimes you cant even get a seat so sometimes we ended up just buying something from the bakery and ordered coffee and then go .. also the parking space .. there's literally no parking space on a very busy day . That's my only negative but I still go back literally every week . Favourite place ever 👍🏽
Mysticmojito
Above average coffee, fantastic range of cabinet food, plenty of savoury and sweet options- inventive but tasty. Nutella donut is a dream. Menu is also great, I highly enjoyed my mushroom dish- definitely recommend. Service behind the counter seems great but the floor staff seemed a little rude at times- though they were busy.

By far the pitfall of this place is the parking- its horrendous.

Wish there were more places like this out west... any recommendations?! ;)
Jessica Peake
Excellent service and delicious food! Food came out very quickly despite lunch rush hour. So many healthy choices as well as sweet treats :)
Espy Eats
I was over from Melbourne visiting my folks and reconnecting with my Westie roots when they recommended we pop in to this gem of a place for a coffee and slice. I'm always happy to go with the flow when it comes to both caffeine and sugar but it pleases me to say we picked three winners in the Louise slice, caramel slice and cheese cake tart. Fast friendly service. We didn't partake in breakfast but they looked amazing from observation especially what appeared to be a pancake stack with floss topping. Enjoyable cafe experience. Henderson has changed in the 16 years since I lived here.

Heard so much about little sister and finally got a chance to visit it. Had the big magic sister...Had some trouble finishing it but throughly enjoyed the good. The staff is friendly and the place is buzzing with people. A good place to eat out in the west 😊
Mercypatch
With it being colder now, it'd be great to have some kind of shelter or wind protection for outside tables. Would definitely make it more desirable going there with outside comfort in Autumn and winter. We were there only two minutes today because it was too cold outside. 🙂

After hearing a few good things about Little Sister Café a few of us decided to go for brunch. It was really busy with a line almost stretching out the door (I guess that's a good sign though!) but we managed to find a table. We ordered coffees and food off the menu and it came out very fast, within 10 minutes. I think I actually said "whoa" out loud when my pancakes arrived because they looked amazing with a massive pile of fluffy orange candy floss on top. On closer inspection presentation of the whole dish was really good and it looked really pretty. Not to mention it was delicious. The lemon curd was so tasty, maple syrup was good, pancakes super yum and also filling. I like the idea of the blueberry and vanilla mascarpone and it added some nice colour but it didn't taste much of blueberry to me - still good though. Good coffee too. Price is a bit high but I think fair for the quality. The only downside was that the cafe felt a little cramped, and the chairs were like the small wooden chairs and stools you have at school so weren't very comfortable, I think that's just the style they're going for but I wasn't a fan. Overall, amazing food which looks super pretty and tastes just as good. Will definitely be back and will be recommending.
Michelle Kim Carter
I love this place! I rave about it to everyone I know! I'm a pretty fussy eater and I can't help but line up for a table at this cafe cos the food is so fresh, the coffee is delicious and the staff are super friendly! Keep up the good work, Little Sister Cafe!!!
Joanna Newlove
Wow. What an awesome place. Incredible coffee and a huge breakfast. Mish Mash Hash sooo good. Our 6 year old son loved the Vegemite cheesy brioche and cocao smoothie was also a hit. Can you move to Wellington?😎
Sandy
I often go to Little Sister when visiting Auckland and have had fabulous food there in the past.
This cafe has recently changed hands.
This time I clarified if the chicken or bacon is free range and was told no.
They have signs everywhere saying "Locally sourced" and Sustainable and they don't use free range chicken!
So disappointed that the new owners are obviously trying to save money at the expense of their ethics.
If enough people ask them if the animals they buy have had a happy life then consumer power will make them reconsider.
Thanks for reading my rant😀
Deb Ra
I really wish this place had more vegetarian options to choose from :) The food I've had here so far though has been really good. Always a struggle to find a table because it's packed all the time.
C & J
Today we decided to try Little Sister Cafe as we heard many reviews.

On arrival, the cafe was full with a very casual greeting from the staff. We ordered the Big Sister and the Field Mushrooms with bacon, a flat white and Sheryl's Ice Tea.

The drinks came out quite quickly with the ice tea tasting refreshing yet not too sweet. The flat white was standard but on the table they offered coconut sugar which was nice for a change. Soon after, the food followed and was beautifully presented. The field mushroom was tasty also giving a generous amount of potatos! The big sister was a standard kiwi big breakfast. The sausage could of been cooked a bit more to give it that crunch but that's just J's preference.

Overall experience was good. Would still go back and try their other food selections! x
April
Wow. First visit. Place was packed. My hubby and I scored a table by the window. The cabinet was so full of delicious choices. And also their menu. We decided to try their burger with kumara fries. OMG so so good. One of the best burgers I have had in a long time. The kumara fries were amazing with aioli sauce. Will definitely be going back. Service was great and very fast.
Chloe-Mae
Five stars here! Could not fault anything. I had the mushroom with eggplant side of egg and bacon the mixture of everything went so well was amazing! Hubby had the eggs benedict. I didn't get to try which is a good sign both our our plates where left empty. Coffee was nice very fast despite being super busy! We will be back

I wish I knew about this cafe when I worked out west - it's so lovely and It's a busy little cafe so get in there quick if you want a seat. Great coffee and healthy fresh food options. Very yummy highly recommend.
Jodie Goodwin
Came here for lunch and we ordered 3 eggs benedicts bacon and an iced chocolate. The staff are very friendly and was very happy to see they were all younger women working there, the food was delicious beautiful runny eggs and plating was very tidy and arrived in under 10 mins. The store has a kind of magical feel to it and we were very happy with everything. Will definately be returning
Vinmanrules
Reasonable breakfast food. Service was quite slow and the iced coffee tasted terrible. When I asked if they could maybe at a little sugar and blend it again I was told I can come to the counter and add the sugar myself. This was after I had already requested sugar in my coffee which they forgot to add.
Shazza
Just been here this morning for brunch. I love the interior of this cafe and also the presentation of plates too. Had eggs benedict with salmon, that tasted nice but it had a bit too much of hollandaise source so couldn't really taste other ingredients (eg. salmon and pesto). However, my partner enjoyed his eggs benedict with bacon =)

Been here this morning for breakfast with my boyfriend and it was really nice! The decor of the place is really quirky and cool. The cabinet food looked divine! Was such a hard choice to make but I decided to go for the hot cakes and my boyfriend got the big breakfast. My hotcakes were presented really nice but the taste was average. The big breakfast was perfect though! Defiantly keen to come back here to try all the sweet treats from the cabinet. Service was allgood as well which helped the atmosphere even though they were packed.

Great place with a busy atmosphere. Only reason it's not a 5 is because our coffee order was wrong. The baked stuff is divine and the sandwiches SO good!

This is by far the best cafe in west auckland, I am making my way through the menu and nothing has disappointed yet.
Those cream doughnuts are awesome and the cornd beef mash is a favorite

A great treat at the end of the week!

Although I'm not really a salad person, I though I might try the Lamb + Quinoa Salad. The reason? I pack Quinoa at my work, as an organic food processor. I gotta say, it got me by surprise it wasn't bad. Not bad at all, after all these years of packing Quinoa. This place was the literally the first place I've every tried eating Quinoa, one of the best decisions I've ever made.

I had the big Brother burger (pork) it was delicious. My only complaint is the space and how busy it was when i was there. It was pretty crowded other than that the food is awesome.

If you're looking for a Sunday breaky with great food and refreshing juice then this is the place for you. The food here was really tasty, good portions and well decorated. I was a massive fan of how they do the pancakes with a bit of cotton candy.

The setting is your usual cafe setting, busy, coffee aroma in the air and everyone seems excited to eat!

I would recommend this place to others.

Great shabby chic ambiance and heaps of variety in the food chiller, great mixture of tastes and really different salads. Staff are pleasant but lukewarm is not the standard temperature for coffee guys. Inside everything is fantastic and will win awards, I am sure, but only if by food and atmosphere alone. Your parking is tiny and your neighbouring businesses are awful! They get your cars towed! Your food is not enough of a pull to either risk a tow or wait for 30mins in case someone leaves. There are other places to go to with better parking. At least I got to try you a few times.
Ana
We had a late lunch here the other day, so we ordered the Big Sister. The food was amazing, and you get a lot more than what you think you would!

Service was prompt, we only had to wait 10 minutes for our food to be served.

If you go there after 2:30pm, the baked treats are buy one get one free, so would definitely recommend if you are in the area!
Hello Rosie
Little Sister is contemporary and upbeat. With a well constructed menu, a chiller full of fresh delicious looking food and youthful cheery (mostly attentive) staff. Making it the place to be if your brunching in Henderson.

Clean well presented dishes, served promptly and well proportioned. The bacon was fantastically cooked, a perfect amount of crunch and full of flavour. Plenty of fresh herbs and greens on my Eggs Benedict which gave the dish a huge punch.

The atmosphere was great and there was a constant flow of patrons but unfortunately the staff were struggling to keep up the pace and often seem distracted if not straight out more interested in socialising with each other as opposed to delivering on to it customer service. During our meal I had to personally leave the table three times to get condiments, napkins and utensils. In saying that the finer details aesthetically really pull the whole place together, it's obvious that a lot of care and love has gone into creating Little Sister.

The coffee was the biggest let down. It was straight up unpleasant. We had mochas that were so sweet they were almost undrinkable and it was impossible to taste any coffee in them.

My only advice when eating here would be to aim for "off peak" hours as to avoid the crazy hustle and bustle. Space is definitely not on your side, the seating feels a tiny bit cramped in places and the outside is not pleasant if it's a windy day as there is no shelter.

Will definitely be going back, it's not a 5 but there is a great amount of potential here.
Arushi Thapar
In love with this place. Had a great time here. They have a lot of variety on their menu.
This place has both indoor and outdoor seating. Nice ambience and great service by the staff.
Had ricotta hotcakes and liked them alot. Definitely visiting again soon.

One of my favourite cafés in Auckland. This places makes delicious food and great coffee. It gets pretty busy so sometimes you won't be able to get a seat as soon as you arrive but it's definitely worth the wait. Really recommend this café
Babygirl88
Love little sister cafe!, I came with my partner and child for a early brekki, we arrived 8am Saturday morning and there were already a few patrons enjoying their brekki, after we ordered and sat down, the line starts, people start piling in. My partner and I had eggs bene, best I've had anywhere! Awesome selection of food in display cabinet. Had to take away a couple of doughnuts for later. It definitely is a busy little cafe, probably because their food is to die for.
Would be awesome if they had a bigger venue, recommend having a kids options, located in an awkward area, but other than that it rocks. I'm sure this cafe will start winning awards for the best cafe in Auckland! Love, love, love this place.

Absolutely in love with this little cafe. Amazing food, amazing service and never enough no matter what. The menu is as unique as this cafe. A selection that is sure to please anyone. I have had the field mushrooms twice now and without a doubt this is my absolute fave. Love the organic range plus the deserts are to die for. You must check this gem out. They are very popular which means they are always packed but the food is worth waiting for.

Second time visiting here we were in need of some breakie and been out west you don't have many choices,so my partner suggested lets go and try little sisters cafe again,1st I would say you guys by far have the best cabinet selection everything looks so fresh, place is a little small do it does get crowed and we noticed limited parking we couldn't find any the other day so we left but hey we came back 🤓

Obsessed with this little place in west Auckland. I have been here more times then I can count and I have to say it hasn't let me down once I'm always here for breakfast and it's never a disappointment. The food and atmosphere are amazing and the staff are so friendly it so fast pace but has such a great vibe and energy the drinks and food are always so delicious. The eggs bene or even the pancakes never disappoint. I recommend this place to anyone around the west Auckland area it's for sure a must do, especially for any big goodies out there.

This is one of my favourite places for coffee and brunch at weekends after a workout or a relaxing walk/run alongside Henderson Creek.

I’ve been to this cafe for quite a few times with my hubby. We were always impressed with the appealing food display and the variety. I enjoy their flat white but mocha was a bit of let down. Nevertheless, the cafe is chic and modern; the staffs are overall friendly and cheerful; the food is yum and well presented, so these definitely make up for it.

Don’t forget to check out this cute quirky cafe if you are in the neighbourhood. :)

Had a lovely hot chocolate here. Sadly got there as kitchen was closing so couldn't grab a meal. That's okay, the staff were lovely and the decor was lovely too. I've heard that this place is great so will have to visit again. Gets very busy!
Sam Smith
This cafe has not overly impressed me from a couple of experiences that I had here. Impressive food but very overcrowded on the weekend and even the one weekday I visited. If they could move into a venue where patrons can actually sit down for a meal or not wait in line for 25 minutes before ordering it would improve the cafe atmosphere and perhaps attract more customers.

The staff were pleasant and apologised about the wait - even though there was nothing they could do about it.
Stephy_NakiGirl
Great to finally visit this popular cafe while in the area. It's well fit out with funky furniture & the cabinets are piled high with delicious goodies.
I decided to pick from the menu (which was the only weird bit - there are no menus at the counter, you have to backtrack as they are hanging from the door...?) & chose the field mushrooms with bacon added. Bacon was nice & crispy & the whole dish worked well together. It was presented beautifully too. The Beetroot & feta purée looked amazing but also added a delicious element which really brought the dish together. Coffee was okay - perhaps could have been stronger (was maybe 1 shot?). Had no room for something sweet after, but the options on offer are delish so I have heard.
A great cafe every bit as good as I had heard. Can't wait to visit again.
Mercypatch
Yummmm food, yumm hot drinks. Downside is the smallness of the cafe so a drive by and it being packed means we go to another cafe. Looking forward to a bigger property one day, can see why it is so popular. Nice having a funky, yum non franchised cafe out west.

Cute little cafe located in Central Park Drive. Came here one afternoon but the place was packed so thought we would come early one morning and have breakfast.

I ordered basic scrambled eggs, ciabatta with a large flat white and hubby ordered eggs Benedict. I was pleasantly surprise with the large portions of eggs I received as I've been to other places before and got not nearly as much. My partner has ate many Eggs Benedict from cafes in the cities and he says they are the best so far.

Food came out within 10 minutes. I was very happy with the service and one lady there in particular had great customer service. She walked around with a smile and genuinely looked like she enjoyed her job - which is always a great thing as it comes through. Altogether breakfast cost $38 which is a lot cheaper than other cafes. Colombia usually around $60 and other smaller Cafes usually around $60-$70 mark. The price point is always going to be major factor for me.

Definitely value for money!!!

Will be back again 100%

Breakfast on Sunday morning at this place was a best idea.
Good and friendly customer service for start.
Food were amazing and display and cooked very well.
Didn't need to wait for long time even it was super busy.
Coffee were on point as well.
Loved it defenetly will come back to this place.
Highly recommended.

This is the best brekky I've had in Auckland so fast and prolly will always be!
I had the smoked kahawai cakes with lemon hollandaise and a poached egg. Portion size perfect, flavours awesome, looks awesome and price very reasonable. This place has everything you will ever need! Super awesome staff and a really smart system which puts less stress on staff and customers with buzzers and no table service. 10/10 really! Would not go anywhere else in west Auckland for brekky now.

Popped in for a takeout coffee on the weekend and as I was waiting my eyes were darting all over the place from one piece of deliciousness to another - everything looks soooo good! The coffee was really good so I stopped in n Monday morning shortly before 7 and got my in-transit fix. Yesterday I dropped in at the same time but they were closed and said they didn't 'open' till 7, so there goes my daily :-(. Still excited to try the food options, bring on the weekend!

Had a ciabatta toast with scramble egg and jafa hot chocolate drink. Jafa hot chocolate drink stands out the most. First time having that drink. Also, Place is really cozy and perfect for afternoon hangout . Highly recommended :)
Lily Chow
Yummy yummy eggs benedict! Never knew a cafe could get busy the whole time I've been there. Coffee was amazing and perfect. The cafe is at a good location where it is well exposed to traffic. Would definitely go back if I'm in the area.

Pulled up to the parking and the place looked so busy... I was surprised.. it's a Wednesday morning ya'll !

Walked in and partially understood why...
Ordered and when the food arrived undertood exactly why...

Polite and "real" service, very quick given how busy they were and the food itself was just right.
Salmon was delicious.

Can't wait to go back and try more things on the menu.

This place is 6 out of 5 I tell you. It's vibrant, interesting, friendly and tasty food all blended together for you. Oh, did I mention the food is healthy and cartering almost all special dietary requirements? The place is small but I can tell the staffs are proud to work at there in order to run this place like a well oiled machine. It's extremely busy during the weekend (and almost all other times), so please be mindful of each other!
Rachel Benge
First impressions nothing flash, but car park was packed, line was all the way out the door and the place was constantly people coming and going. Although extremely busy, food and coffee came really quickly. Great Eggs Benedict 👍 this place is doing very well 🎉

This is a fabulous cafe. Love the food, every item in my salad was individually delicious and together, just perfect. The coconut caramel slice, heavenly. Will be back.
KP
Officially one of my new fave cafes!
We ordered the Mish Mash Hash and salmon egg benny. Both were decently flavoursome and fulling. We came just before the crowd entered so luckily got a table for 2. I'm guessing this places gets very packed on the weekends so best come between peak times. Will be back for the delicious looking drinks as we didn't leave enough room this time round!
Michael
I had high expectations for Little Sister based on the Zomato reviews. It was packed when we arrived for Sunday brunch.

We ordered the lamb and quinoa salad (excellent) and the vegetarian big breakfast. Unfortunately, my meal had several issues:
- had a large wedge of butter when I'd mentioned my diary intolerance to the staff.
- very watery egg white with the poached egg
- extremely bruised avocado (cleverly hidden away at the bottom of the dish).

Overall, this was extremely disappointing, I can only hope that my experience doesn't happen often.

Heard amazing things about this place and I finally got to try out this place. In the weekends, this place is buzzing!

I ordered the smoked kahawai cakes and they were just beautiful. Words cannot explain it. You have to try it! The meal looked small but man, was it filling!

Also for the cacao smoothie and that was yummy too. Had a strange taste to it but it was a good strange not a bad one. Really enjoyed it.

The next day, I came back and orders the green meanie smoothie. And oh boy, it was mean alright. Tasted so bad. It felt too healthy for my liking. A tad bitter. Think it was the mint in it that I didn't like so much. But I must say, it did clear out my system after downing my smoothie! -as in hydration not you know.. #2 🤓

After searching Zomato for a brekkie spot on a Saturday morning, we saw Little Sister Café had some good ratings so decided to give it a shot.

We were prepared to find it packed/busy so after feeling a bit anxious about whether we could eat there, we managed to find a table whilst waiting in line to order.

Ordered 'The Big Sister' (big breakfast) and 'Balinese Sticky Black Rice' with 2 large Flat Whites. Meal came out within 15 minutes of ordering, with coffees shortly after. The Big Sister had well poached eggs, nice chunky slices of bread, with the bratwurst sausage being the star of the show. Balinese Sticky Black Rice came out luck warm (was a cold morning @and was personally looking forward to steamy bowl of rice) but this may of just been due to the last minute addition of the coconut milk. Some of the banana wasnt ripe enough but it was very filling and the sprinkle of palm sugar was delicious.

Coffees were unfortunately a let down as they were too bitter, hence the rating.

Had an absolutely delicious lamb salad from here. Incredibly busy and a tad bit crowded, no real place to wait for a table (or coffee) and no system for waiting which was only really an issue because the weather outside was so awful. Cabinet is incredible though (up there with Little & Friday) so at least if it's too busy there's a good choice for take away!

After reading all the amazing reviews, my partner and I decided to head to Little Sister Cafe for breakfast, and we were not disappointed.
The setting and atmosphere was good. While the cafe was really busy we managed to find a seat. The staff were really friendly and even though they were really busy, they were still attentive and didn't seem like they were trying to quickly move us along like some places. All the cabinet food looked amazing, a variety of options and it looked well presented. Regardless of the busy packed out cafe, our food still came in reasonable time and was presented very well. It was made superb and the portion was perfect.
While the food was amazing, I was a bit disappointed with the coffee. My partner ordered a mocha and it tasted quite bitter as well as not at all chocolatey. However, the ice tea I ordered was amazing.
The space is a bit small and crowded when it's busy, but all in all it is worth a visit and I will definitely head back!
Lovely little cafe out west in Henderson, after reading reviews and seeing pictures of all the food I just had to check it out!

The cabinet food looks amazing, reminds me of the treats you get at Little and Friday, as they had these huge, delicious looking cream donuts on the cabinet (a staple, crowd favourite at Little and Friday). We ordered the eggs benedict with bacon, the Mish Mash Hash, berry smoothie, iced chocolate and a caramel slice to share. My eggs benedict was great, a simple, classic breakfast done well. My eggs were perfectly poached and runny, loved the hint of lemon in the hollandaise and pesto on the side to balance the flavours. Only fault was the bacon could be cooked crispier. The Mish Mash Hash (slow cooked corned beef with potatoes and poached eggs) was so tasty too! The smoothie and iced chocolate were mediocre, iced chocolate was very watery and the berry smoothie a bit too thick for my liking but still pleasant. Would love to see them do milkshakes or more smoothie options.

I couldn't resist ordering a treat from the cabinet, they have such a wide range of gorgeously presented treats on offer. I decided to order a simple chocolate caramel slice and it was heavenly. The base was like a soft short bread, caramel was chewy and rich, with a thick layer of good quality chocolate on top. I always judge a restaurant on how well they do simple, classic food like eggs benedict, caramel slice etc and 'Little Sister' does this great. My new favourite cafe, cant wait to return!

I've been pining for good cafes in West Auckland my entire life and finally one has been delivered from the gods. Little Sister is my favourite cafe in all of Auckland - and it's in walking distance from my house! Friendly staff, great atmosphere, amazing coffee and cabinet food as well as a stellar menu. The pancakes topped with candy floss are the best I've ever eaten. Keep it up.

Little sister cafe is doing food right! My friend kindly took me out for breakfast on a cold Saturday morning. While the cafe was busy we managed to find a table and were warmly welcomed by the staff who were happy to make my son scrambled eggs and bacon (not on the menu) I had the bacon eggs bene and honestly it was so delicious!!! I would happily go back even as busy as it was to eat there again
Kayla Palmer
Amazing food, full of beautiful flavors and great friendly staff !!😊😊
I had the feild mushroom dish with the bacon and eggs. My friend had the magic sister and I would definatly recomend both dishes !

I went to Little Sister with my parents for lunch. It is a very, very busy cafe, and we noticed that the line was out the door more than once as we ate. The seating area is not quite big enough for the amount of people that come through the door, and it is rare to find an empty table - we had to wait for one to become vacant before we sat down. Despite this, the atmosphere inside is relaxed and the staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food in the front cabinet is presented very well. I had an almond croissant which, when warmed, was pretty good. My favourite part about my meal here however was the rest of it - I ordered the fish and chips, which came with mashed beans, and it was the best fish and chips I have ever eaten! My mouth waters whenever I think about it and I am anticipating the next time I come back to have it again, whenever that might be.
The iced mocha was sooooo good. Real cream was used to top it, not that rank canned stuff that tastes like plastic. It was wholesome and delicious, with real coffee and a smooth texture. I was very impressed.
The interior is cramped but well-presented with painted walls and a very neat, central till/cabinet/barista area. It can get quite noisy when it is packed, but so can any cafe when every table is full.
I would not advise Little Sister for large groups, but for one, two or three people, it is perfect. The food, customer service, and interior design is great. I will definitely be back!

Picture:
Iced mocha
Food 24/7
Yum yum yum ! After reading all the good reviews on Zomato we had to try this place !

The cafe being in Henderson, as expected, lived under the roof of a modern yet topical industrial type building but to our amazement once we stepped inside the doors all that is forgotten.

The decor was attractive, the premise occupied by wooden tables and benches. Cabinet overfilling with sandwiches and sweet treats, while ordering at the till my partner's gaze was distracted by all sorts of delicious food items on top of the glass cabinet making it difficult for him to order. Evident to this he impulsively ordered a sweet slice even though he agreed to stick with plan.

We sat ourselves once we identified a free table during this busy period as did everyone else. After ordering the food it came not long after. We were met with delicious food beautifully plated.

The eggs Benedict with smoked salmon hit the mark. Eggs poached well, balanced portion of every element, sauce on the egg sat nicely and bread crispy toasted. Unlike many others that serve eggs bennys where the bread is soggily soaked.

I had the the mushroom, eggplant, potato, halloumi and Beetroot purée with a poached egg on top. Each single ingredient very tasty and very well seasoned.

We will Definitely be coming back to try other dishes on the menu !!
Chin And Prony Powichitkul
From reading all their great reviews, I was really looking forward to this visit. Overall the set up and atmosphere was quite cool. The cabinet food looked really inviting and the cakes were actually quite amazing. Then the coffee came and that is what put my rating down. Maybe it was the barista?Or was it because they were busy? I don't know but both the coffee we got weren't good. I hope it is a one off because everything else about this little cafe is right on point. Will be back for a coffee again and update my review.

Today I decided to visit little sister cafe as I was in the neighbourhood. I was quite impressed when I first walked in as the place was packed with customers! All tables and seats were fully occupied and I had to stand in line for 6 mins to order! The pastries and savoury foods look so good displayed in the clear food cabinet. Unfortunately I was on the go and didn't get to order food, however I did grab a take away mocha and brownie. My mocha tasted more like a flat white but it wasn't bad and the brownie was average. I'm super keen to come back and try all the other delicious looking things on the menu and from the cabinet

Great little cafe in Henderson!! Went for my first time for a Sunday breakfast , it was super busy and we had to wait a few minutes for a table but not to long. The decor and atmosphere was busy yet relaxing, the staff were super friendly! I had poached eggs on toast with a side of avo and salmon and my BF had eggs Benedict x2 which the waiter thought was hilarious. The food was fresh and well presented and tasted delish! The sweets in the cabinet and donuts looked Devine which I will defiantly be coming back for! All in all I would recommend to everyone!

most terrible experience ever. firstly the male waiter laughed at my accent and laughed and laughed then he turns around told the waitress whats he laughing at, then they both laughed. so i have to watch them laughing at me for a while. after eating there i had food poison , had vomit and diarrhea for the whole night

Awesome place a brunch with a good variety of food and drinks. Staff is really nice too. The only downside is the car park, hard to find a spot.

This place use to be my hidden place but not anymore. Everytime i go, hardly any table 😢
Famous for delicious brunch and wide selection of breads/cakes.

My favourite cafe in west❤️
Luna Granger
Very busy all the time but the food from the menu (I had the fish and chips with bean it was sooooo nice) and the drinks were so well presented and tasted absolutely amazing. I wouldn't have a qualm about anything and the service was sublime. Definitely will be back

Little sister is such a cute Cafe!! Their food is delicious. I really enjoyed my egg omelette it was really yum. The coffee was good too! I thought the bacon and cheese bun was delicious! The prices are your normal Cafe price however Little sister Cafe is worth it. I can't wait to visit again and try other dishes.
Their infuse was is yum!!

Update: had breakfast here it was beautiful! Everyone loved their dishes. One of the best café around. Seriously have to try it 😁
Katy
Lovely brunch and coffee here today. Service was really good and didn't wait long for food even though place was packed. Ordered vege breakfast which was delicious 😊

Based on the theory that busy must mean the place is good this place must be the best cafe in (west)Auckland as it doesn't stop! Don't try to avoid the rush as it is always busy. The coffee I've had has always been top notch and the snacks an expensive treat, unfortunately I've been too busy to stop and dine in but would struggle to find a seat if I did have time. Only one warning dont go here if you have an aversion to the hipster culture as this is a hipsterville hub, though you will instantly become cool if you do 🤔
Claudia
I had extremely high expectations but unfortunately they were not met. I ordered the Thai chicken salad (I normally love the flavours of Thai cuisine) however this salad ended up being drenched in the dressing they made and a had a few chicken bits here and there. The dressing was so over powering because of how the ratio was all out of whack. Thoroughly disappointed for the $18 price tag.

I also purchased the iced chocolate drink, it was ok. What you'd expect however didn't blow my socks off, but I'm not mad at it. However my friend purchased the Agria hash (in the cabinet) and really enjoyed it which is why I'm being more lenient and rating a 3.
Sunday morning lunch time rush, cues out the door, waiting awkwardly for tables but, it was worth it. A friend and I rocked up here for some late breakfast to be welcomed by a small wait, all round friendly staff and finally, great food and drinks.

The staff came across somewhat hipsterish which could translate into a bit snobbish as can be found in the likes of Remuera, Ponsonby or Grey lynn but, all staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and initiative taking. We definitely felt cared for.

We thought they'd forgotten about our food at one point but eventually got the noms and it was good. The coffee and berry shake served were likewise good.

Little Sister has a lively, upbeat, almost old school, alternativeish, American diner vibe to it. I think it would feel at home with more plants indoors or even somewhere in a sun bathed tropical forrest.

I look forward to returning.

Little sister cafe is an amazing little gem out west and definitely a must visit if you're ever in the area.

Every food item in the entire cafe is presented soooo nicely you're 100% bound to get some Instagram-worthy shots.

Prices I'd say are pretty standard cafe prices, although I don't mind what I pay here because everything comes out looking amazing.

The Balinese sticky black rice is different and not what you'd expect to get from a cafe but it is super yummy!

I've been twice now and I will definitely keep returning 😊
Tania Ostick
Came here for breakfast with a friend recently. The breakfast was tasty, wish there were slightly more gluten free options in there amazing cabinet. Great coffee! Service was average, but as always the cafe was very busy.
Nathalie
Came here for lunch, been here twice already and menu just got better! Ordered Pulled pork burger (super yummy!) was not dry, lots of sauce and coleslaw compliment the flavours, buns were also moist. (Very similar to burger burger but bigger!) kumara chips were amazing (Thin and crunchy). got the green smoothie drink (good Size packed with lots of flavours) This is by far the best cafe in Henderson (good quality food and great ambiance) My only down side was pricing I spent $26 for burger & one drink, my friend $30 (burger, drink and dessert) A little on the heavy side but it's good for catch up/dates, decor was pretty "hipster" and staffs were super friendly! Will be back for sure!

Ordered:
Big Sister breakfast with poached eggs and ciabatta, and
the Bacon and Egg slice from the cabinet

The Big Sister breaky came with bacon, sausage, tomato, potato, eggs of your choice and toast of your choice. Generous amount of butter, but for the amount of toast, it was way too much. Could have used an extra slice of ciabatta. Poached eggs and bacon was done perfectly. The potatoes were a little boring and lacked seasoning. The sausage didn't leave much of an impression.

Bacon and egg slice was huge. A very generous serving, but it was even too much for my partner to finish comfortably. We found that we would have preferred a smaller slice for something around the $6.50 mark, rather than a monstrous slice at $9.50.
Parking is almost impossible on weekends for brunch hour. Cabinet food starts to run out quite quickly by about 1pm.

Hoping to revisit soon to get my hands on one of those custard doughnuts!
Mayaonowilde
I am so happy that such a lovely cafe has opened up out west and I have utilized it fully spending maybe one too many lunch breaks or meetings at Little Sister.
The staff are always efficient, polite and keen to help. The food is always superb. It is sometimes loud but it is a small, busy space.

Recommend Highly.

I've been here a few times. The place is always buzzing and lively and the food always amazing! Definitely need more Cafes like this in little old West Auckland!
Josephine
Great cafe for Henderson where there isn't much choice around other than fast food. Always quite busy, but not long before seats are freed up. I like how they have some meals available in half sizes for small eaters (the eggs benedict is very good!). Been consistently delicious every time I've been in, the sweets are divine!
Christie Haliday
What a beautiful cafe!!!! Tasty and visibly appealing food. Resonably priced and the service was fantastic. Lots of smiles adding to the positive atmosphere.Coffe was delicious too Will be back again.... and again..... and again!

Awesome find out west. Had the Omelette and Mash Hash! Gets busy quick so good idea to get in early. Coffee was also to of a high standard.

Randomly stumbled upon Little Sister Cafe and what a treasure! Absolutely love love love! Delicious strawberry iced tea and petite benedict is just perfect! The Big Sister and Omelette are really good too, this isn't even mentioning all the cabinet food and slices! LOVE

Little sister cafe is a lovely addition in the food scene out west.
The presentation was absolutely beautiful and the portions were good.

I'm an absolute sucker for Beetroot hummus and the hummus was amazing.

Very disappointed, the service was not good. I ordered take away food, I stood and watched while staff cleared tables took other orders fluffed around cleaning changing trays. My food was sitting in front of them all they had to do was put it in a bag. I eventually asked if it was self service, no they would deal with it........when was the magic question. Finally the food was put in a bag fantastic. When I got home and served the lunch up to my friend it was not what I ordered it was a BLAT I ordered Chicken, friend does not eat pork, in the rubbish it went. Cake was gorgeous scone was horrible. A very expensive cake as it turned out. Never again.

A lovely cafe in Henderson, quite an unexpected area with lots of customer parking available.

The decor is trendy with sort of a garage feel. Maybe because of the fonts on the wall. Loving the tiles by the food cabinet/ cashier and also the oven mits hanging on the ceiling.

Service is friendly with lots of smiling faces. We ordered a green smoothie and was one of the best I've had. With spinach, mint, avocado and some other green stuff, mixed with coconut water. Yummy! I also had their iced tea which was so refreshing.

For food, we got a calamari salad, pork burger and a petite Benedict. Was quite good how we could get a half size Benedict.

The salad was light and refreshing with the salad shredded like noodles. Served with big chucks of perfectly cooked calamari.

The pulled pork burger tasted quite Asian like but the meat I thought could be more tender. The thin kumara was delicious though!

Egg Benedict with salmon was served with a pesto bread and was just normal.

Too bad we missed out on trying the fush and chups because kitchen closes at 2pm!

Overall lovely sunny cafe, lots to choose from in terms of menu and cabinet food, price wise - average per person is $23 including drinks. Seems like normal brunch expenditure to me.

Lovely little place in Henderson. Took my
Best friend out for a birthday brunch and the staff were just lovely. We ordered the pancakes and the big breakfast and it was delicious. Such a quaint cafe, you won't realise how quickly time goes by. Great food and great atmosphere, will definitely come back again :)
Renee
The two things that stuck out for me at this cafe is the friendly staff and the crazy good food. As soon as I walked in I think my eyes lit up just a little as I saw the look of those salmon fillets in the cabinet - plus the Caesar salad to go with it. My meal was below $20 and in all honesty, I would've paid that much and more for it. It's a shame the cabinet food was different next time I came!

Perfect selection of cabinet foods and menus (not macro friendly-but food for your soul)
Nice atmosphere and well presented. Melt in your mouth perfection
Perfect for lazy sunday brunches or brunch dates
10000% recommended

There is nothing out in Henderson so this was a great find. The baked goods are always excellent and I love the Asian flared lunch items and vege items. Cookie was very unexciting for the ninja which is kind of expected if you compare it to the amazing "moustache" cookies. Coffee was about a 3.5.
We'll be back.

Heard a lot about little sister cafe decided to come here for brunch. Ordered the eggs Benedict with Salmon slight error and got bacon but the service was great and they gave us a side plate with salmon. The green smoothie is definitely worth a try it's delicious!

Travelled 1 hour out of my way today to take my little sister to Little Sister Cafe... be both agreed it was well worth it. I ordered the Ricotta Hotcakes and she got the Hanoi Rocks. The fan was a little loud and we couldn't really hear each other well but I am glad we didn't have to sit in ridiculous heat. My hotcakes came first... I never take pictures of my food but the plating of the hotcakes is honestly picturesque. The candy floss makes an amazing addition, the sensation in your mouth when the sugar changes texture and hardens is awesome - something only a really talented chef would think of doing!! They don't skimp on the maple syrup or fruit either. Unfortunately my sister's dish we were told had been messed up in the kitchen somehow, so I had finished my hotcakes before hers had arrived. Usually I would be a little disappointed but the staff were so courteous and genuine about the mess up, the waitress instantly came over with a full refund and apology, and only minutes later another waiter came over, sat down, apologised and offered us a free jug of tea. They kept us updated on how the dish was coming along as we waited, and throughout the whole period kept making sure everything was going well. This was all well the cafe was packed with people too!!! I honestly haven't had service this attentive and genuine in a long, long time. And then onto her "hanoi rocks" - it was so big it didn't even all fit on the plate!! I had to help her out in finishing it obviously, the pork belly was divine (especially coming from someone who doesn't generally like pork). Again all the textures of this dish compliment perfectly and really create quite a party in my mouth hehe which I must compliment the chef greatly on.
TL;DR: Service: impeccable. Food: haven't found anywhere that compares to this level of amazing. Location: please move closer to me. But still worth the 2 bus trips plus 30 minute walk.

Love the decor, love the efficiency and most of all their food is to die for!

Its rarely I enjoy pantry food at some of the cafes, but Little Sister's Cafe offers the best selection in pantry food, as well as the menu selection. Their creamy doughnuts make you drool, but so do all the other desserts

I love this cafe! My boss brought me here for lunch and it was so good. We both had eggs benedict, she had salmon and I had crispy bacon! Both were so good. I wanted an ice chocolate and they recommended their cacao smoothie with dates and almond milk (healthy option). I'm so glad I tried it, it was amazing. Service is great! F.O.H staff were so polite! I've only been here twice but every time is amazing!

Weekday 930am
2 diners
Coffee and pistachio slice
Will be back for a full breakfast

Food: I had the ginger and pistachio slice. Not only was it a lovely texture (soft and buttery) but the flavours were just right and it was a good size - there was no fear that I was consuming a dangerous amount of sugar and no danger that I was being ripped off. I can't fault the coffee, I can only fault myself for not having a second one.

Service/Atmosphere: The staff were friendly and patient.Their choice in music was excellent.
Final: I'll definitely be back for more. I intend to have a prolonged breakfast - perhaps three courses.

After seeing all the good reviews, me and my boyfriend decided to take a trip up to henderson and give this place a go.
Little sis is a small comfortable cafe. It has very unique decorations; thier fridge food and sweets look devine.
I got the Lincoln pork burger and my boyfriend got the open omelete. We also got an ice chocolate and an ice mocha. The drinks was alright. It was a little too sweet for my boyfriend; however the omelete was delicious. He also got a sausage on the side and it was juicy and yummy. On the other hand, my burger was amazing. The taste was just beautiful. It was soft and full with flavours. It had asian and western taste in it and it was an amazing combo.
Overall, this place is worth to go. You will get spoilt with choices for the drinks and you will definitely want to go back for more

Nice place The food is good to, one thing that I would have to say though is that despite its yum food and drinks what ruins the mood for me is how cramped it is in the cafe and how loud it is the staff are friendly and I love the eclectic feel of the place and all the decor.

Sunday morning brunch with a friend. Came at a good time as we got a table right away. Order and pay at counter. we both had the iced tea which was so delish I could have drunk a whole jug of it. I ordered the Mish mash hash- corned beef on potatoes with rocket, feta, toms and poached eggs. Was so tasty! And huge, I struggled to finish it. And nice to have a slightly different opinion to your normal brunch items. Friend had the salmon eggs benedict, which she was was great, also large and she couldn't finish. All of the eggs were cooked to runny perfection. Even though we were super full, had to buy some tempting treats from the counter to take home. Got the gluten free raspberry slice and the passionfruit slice. The were both amazing, but the passionfruit 👌👍 perfect balance of sweet and tangy. Only reason I didn't give a 5* was that the place is just too popular the counter area feels very cramped when your trying to order and check out cabinet options, also was rather warm inside. But it was a Sunday morning at peak time so I'm being a bit picky

Love this place - have been too many times to count ! Staff is friendly, food is always tasty and the price point is great, especially for what you are getting. To make it even better, the cabinet food and sweet things are equally as good as the menu. The only downside is the size of the place and it's always packed! Which only serves as a testament to how great it is. Will always recommend

Had been meaning to try this place forever. Everytime we drive past its packed and obviously for good reason.

Great food, excellent coffee, attentitive service and a warm buzzing atmosphere.

Little sister cafe is worth trying and highly recommended.

I made a special trip out west just to visit this place and it was well worth the drive. The decor is slightly rustic, the staff are frantic but friendly and it has a lovely, warm, friendly vibe. The highlight for me was the cabinet.. A beautiful display of baguettes, tarts, cakes, slices, doughnuts and more. It was super hard to decide what to get because everything in the cabinet looked divine and the menu options also sounded amazing.
I went with something simple: eggs on toast with a side of akoroa salmon and avocado, my partner opted for a shredded chicken baguette and my sister chose the field mushroom dish. The eggs were cooked exactly how I requested, the salmon was fresh and the bread was toasted to perfection. A simple dish but done well. Can't wait to go back and try the Hanoi on the rocks and the doughnuts.
Amy @ My Dining Journey
Food: Good selection of items on the menu. I ordered the ricotta hotcakes with vanilla poached apple, mascarpone and topped with a candy floss fluff. A guilty way to start the morning and it was oh-so-good. My dining companions ordered the open omelette with dry cured streaky bacon on toasted ciabatta and the free range eggs with a side of field mushrooms (not pictured).

Been here a few times. Even round xmas (hectic).
Very Busy.
Fab customer service.
I know how it's like to work in places like this and it can be stressful but I liked how most staff kept their composure. KEEP IT UP! :D
One of the best cabinet foods available for selection in any cafe out west.
Appetising.
Good vibe.
Meals are tasty.
I hope you guys expand because it can be hard to find parking or a seat. It's one of the reasons I don't frequent here as much as I'd like - but that's also coz I'm just a student broke af.
Will be back though!
All the best for 2016

Wow this place is busy and crazy popular!
I got the iced tea and mish mash, my friend got the iced chocolate and the big little sister.
The portions were so generous! I almost couldn't finish, and I usually finish everything!
The iced tea was refreshing and not overly sweet.
My dish tasted amazing because the pulled pork and feta just complimented each other so well! And the eggs were done to exactly how I liked them, not cooked 100% but not so Raw that the yolk was runny. PERFECTION!
I loved it all really, our waiter was a little... Dismissive. Didn't say anything when bringing us the dishes or taking them away even when we thanked him.
My friend enjoyed her meal too, again generous, delicious, best way to start the day.

There are so many facets to a great dining experience, and Little Sister nails those aspects. Food: fresh, tasty, timely. Staff: friendly, helpful, hospitable. Ambience; aesthetically great, inspires curiosity. Cost: well worth every cent. Go and try it for yourself, as it is worth the trip.
Jessica McCormack
One of my favourite cafes. The coffee is good and I'm yet to try something I don't love from the cabinet (which is always gorgeous). Lovely rustic atmosphere. Only wish it was bigger.
SleekIFresh
Best day cafe out west. The food is creative and delicious, service is very warm and friendly. There is a sign that says "no table service as we are too small and too busy" , so don't be dissuaded, and rock on up to the counter with your order. The baking is a cut above, best cabinet I've ever seen (and tasted). Rare to find a cafe this good anywhere. Recommended: the savoury brioche, plum nectarine and ginger slice, open omelette, any salad, and breakfast wraps on the weekend.

Went here one day to fill in some time . Went in for just a tea and ended up with a raw sweet and a special salmon and salad meal made especially for me .

Was so excited to try this place. The decor looks amazing and its nice to have those "hip" cafes out West Auckland ! The menu looked delicious as well when I had a look online. BUT unfortunately I did not stay there as THERE WERE NO BABY HIGH CHAIRS . I was so disappointed to hear that because I was super excited to try this little cafe out . But throughout the disappointment the staff were very apologetic about it , I would still love to try this place out but it might have to wait when I have a mommy day off from looking after my little one.

Pretty cool place. Amazing cabinet food and beautiful coffee. Love the industrial look. Even spotted a few celebrities. Would definitely recommend this place. Only down side would be they are crazy busy so if you want somewhere quiet this is not the place
Andrew @anjeats
FIRST IMPRESSIONS: This is hands-down the best cafe out west! With a strong menu and chic decor, the Ponsonby cafe vibe rings true here.

FOOD: I had a pressed sandwich filled with chicken, tomato and greens and it was really tasty. It went well with the side of relish and looked well presented on the serving board.

COFFEE: hot and delicious.

SERVICE: friendly and efficient. Our waitress proudly spoke of running the cafe in West Auckland.

Even though it is on the small side, Little Sister Cafe is worth the hype. Fortunately the quality of the food matches the funkiness of the decor.

I was super excited to try this place after reading all the amazing reviews! When we arrived it was all very confusing, didn't know whether to order at the counter or sit down or anything and we spent about 5 minutes chasing around the staff to ask but they weren't very attentive. Ended up ordering at the counter which was very confusing (where's the menu)? There were no clean cups to have some water and couldn't track any staff down to ask for one. Ordered the eggs benedict and it was... Okay? I like my hollandaise thick and flavoursome, theirs was quite watery. It didn't taste like eggs benedict it tasted like spinach salad. Coffee was super yummy and the cabinet cakes and slices looked amazingggg but didn't get anything because it was super packed and after the average meal didn't want to emotionally invest in the cake only to potentially be disappointed. Would go again if I was in the area but we travelled from Ponsonby and there's far better places closer to home.

This little wee gem will become a local as soon as we move out west. Amazing cabinet selection, yummy pancakes (although the amount of candy floss the put on was a bit much) a little more acidity needed. I would still recommend them. The bacon was cooked perfectly and the pancakes were served with plenty of maple syrup. Yum. Coffees were great too. My husband had an open omelette which he thoroughly enjoyed :-) more seating would be much appreciated. We came in early on a Saturday morning and were lucky to get a table.

I chose this place for a meeting with a photographer and I should have chosen a different day as it was hard to find a seat! The furniture is quite cute though in that it reminds me of an old school setting. I didnt go in to order, but the coffee that I had was pretty good. I like how there are extra large tables outside for families to use. That is great.

Went for an office lunch today and ordered the chicken Brie tart from their cabinet. BRILLIANT! Definitely recommend both - the restaurant and the tart!

I've been twice now and I'm 50/50 whither i think it's as amazing as everyone has said.

First experience I was so looking forward to going only to find the kitchen closes at 2 which I was very pissed of about as id pre planned what I would order. Because it's such a busy place all the time why not increase the hours it's opened I don't get it. So I ordered a beef quesadilla from the cabinet which was quite nice. I really like the variety of cabinet food !! But the setting of the place is really bizarre and small, on the window sill it had real baby tomatoes along it and only on my windowsill in the entire place, I thought it was really weird and a lot of the decoration is questionable.

Second visit I got the ricotta pancakes with bacon which a lot of people have raved about. My partner enjoyed it, but the flavours were really contradicting and didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. The portion was big which was great though. Also with the mochas they use real coco on top instead of chocolate which I don't really like.
But with all the negitive said I would come back for other items on the menu and it's the best cafe and most unique in west auckland

Have been to this little corner cafe a number of times, tucked away in an industrial area of Henderson, West Auckland.

Really hip decor, with waiters all wearing blue and white striped t-shirts, and a bike hanging on the inside window. The major downfall of this cafe would be it's size. Not big enough to accommodate the amount of people that come through, especially in the winter months when it is too cold to sit on the benches outside. Wait times may be long, and there are no nearby stores or parks (unless you want to walk down to Trust stadium) to buy time in. Service staff aren't always the most attentive either.

However, once seated, no complaints about the food or the price. I went today with my mum and we had the ricotta hotcakes and the field mushrooms with grilled haloumi. The menu is interesting, the dishes are well presented, extremely tasty.. And affordable! I also come here often to enjoy the large collection of sweet treats available at the counter.

Overall, a funky little cafe, with great food.. if you can nab a seat fast enough, or hack the wait.
Neve Christina
The food here was so good! The pancakes, the candy floss, bacon, everything. It all went together perfectly. The ice choc wasn't what I expected but it was good. Presentation was so pretty!!! Overall loved it.
Kiky Eng
Is it cause of the early morning?! The coffee is tasteless, cheese scone smell nice but texture like bread more than scone.
Dale
Very pleasant, a little bit small but overall a nice atmosphere. Food was great and reasonably priced. Struggled to figure out the menu a bit although that could just be me (I thought I was getting mushrooms, bacon, baked beans and a bratwurst for 4.50 with my eggs but it was only one of those! Cabinet food looked great but did not taste. Great coffee. Only downside is the ugly location in industrial Henderson but still well worth a visit.

Drove all the way from the CBD and it's worth it. Lots of breakfast options, and very good! Got the Mish Mash Hash and got more than what I expected: more corned beef than hash!!! Yum 👍🏼 very friendly and lively staff, good start for my day. Highly recommended.

This cafe was so great and a very good place to catch up with friends. The food was amazing I ordered a dish called the Mish Mash Hash with corn beef, gourmet potatoes, feta, rocket, cooked tomatoes and poached eggs on top and this came to a total of $17.50. I also ordered a apple and feijoa juice coming to a cost around $6.00. The service was good but they did not come to take away dirty dishes from the previous costumes when we got a table. There as minimal seating inside and therefore had to sit outside in the cold wind but as some costumes came out of the cafe we were able to score a seat inside which was great.
This cafe is one of the best I've been too and I recommend it to anyone as there are savoury and sweet also reasonable prices and portions.

Stefanie Kouch

Great addition that was definitely needed in the west auckland area as the selection of good cafes around there is a little lacking, only shame is that it could be bigger as it seems to be so popular

I noticed they offered coconut sugar on the table which is awesome for the health conscious and alot of their ingredients are organic and health focused which is great.

Two of us ordered the beans with poached eggs and one ordered eggs on toast with condiments of avo and bacon. We all really enjoyed our meals the eggs were cooked perfectly and presentation for all dishes was really good. Def recommend the beans and poached eggs was a generous portion for a reasonably cheap price. Will Def be back to try other things that sound delicious on the menu and their cabinet food (sweet treats) look to die for.
Auckland Foodie
Great food and friendly service. This place is always buzzing every time we go there. It's probably one of only two places to go to for a decent cafe style meal in Henderson. The roaring trade they do is clear evidence that there is good demand. Waiting to see if other cafes open up in Henderson to give these guys a run for their money. But for now, little sister reigns supreme.
Pamela Palis
Came here for the first time today. The staff was friendly. We ordered the Balinese black sticky rice and the big sister. The food was delicious and it really filled us up. The presentation was great and it arrived quickly. Definitely coming back here again.

Visited first time, and became one of my definitely-visit-again cafe. Very busy on Saturday lunch even struggling to find a seat.
Plenty of cabinet food, so attractive, their cream filled donut is hard to resist.
I normally struggle to find what I want to eat in cafe because it just looks all the same.
But this place has menu with some Asian touches, also western.
I decided to have a field mushroom.
Really nice.
Quinoa' texture matches with soft grilled mushroom and eggplant, I am satisfied!:)
Also my partner ordered the corned beef with poached egg meal and he liked it.

Service is quick and very kind of them telling us about the meal with detail, even though the cafe is packed.
Lovely fresh food. Great coffee! Friendly efficient staff, was really busy but food still arrived promptly. Only complaint is the music is too loud, especially when lots of people already talking. Other than that ... Great addition to West Auckland.

Just what West Auckland needed. A cosy, quaint yet modern eatery offering great food hospitality.

Don't get me wrong there are some great places to eat out West but LSC just offers a different atmosphere and vibe.

The food is great and made fresh plus you have the option from choosing something from the cabinet display.

Rating out of 5 (5 being the highest):
Food – 4
Ambience – 3
Presentation – 4
Service – 3
Environment – 4

Nice lil place perfect for a 1 on 1 meal, always busy and has that organic, home feel with awesome food from local areas and the beat slices any were around,i have been there a few times now and the service is always good, the food is great.

Had the Balinese rice. Really good if you like banana... I love banana so it was good.
Their sweet slices and counter baked goods are also nice. Had a caramel slice... Ratio of base vs caramel vs chocolate was perfect..
Overall good.

First of all the new hot cakes are to die for they are so good! Presentation to service was all spot on, would defiantly rate this cafe as one of the best if not the best in west Auckland for sure!
Sungsam7
Bustling cafe with good vibes and delectable goodies on display that we all resisted this time round.
Our meals all soft poached free range eggs cooked to perfection. Nothing worse than poached eggs that come out like hard boiled. Hollandaise sauce on the eggs bene got the thumbs up as the consistency was runny but not sloppy and the flavour was just right ie tangy but not bitter and definitely not sweet either like we've had in other places.
Our drinks were great all round. The iced chocolate looked amazing.
My triple shot small cappucino is always about the expresso and LSC perfected mine with the right amount of milk albeit trim milk - it still held the fullness of that of a full milk cappucino.
Service prompt and friendly 👍 we were fortunate to get a table for 4. It's great to see places like this popping up around West Auckland...may there be many more to keep places this one that I'm rating up there as good as they were when they first arrived!
Sunday update: the lamb and quinoa salad was incredible 👌🏼 and we loved the caramel slice with the coconut topping as it cut out the sickly sweetness that one gets with the traditional chocolate icing.
Frederick Juan De Leon
Place looks great and feels cozy. Great staff very accomodating. Ordered the big sister and was awesome. Sausage taste like kilbasa, fresh cherry tomatos and baby potatoes and very filling. We will definitely be back for more.

I absolutely love Little Sister Cafe! Amazing food, amazing coffee and amazing service. I love the eggs benedict. I have tried several items in in the food cabinet. The cakes and slices and desserts are to die for. Highly reccommend this cafe.
Tiara Ducat-Tither
Took my dog for a walk the other day an was set on getting either the pancakes or their sticky rice meal. Got to little sister and had to calm my dog before I went it. When I finally got to go in I almost ordered something out of their fantastic cabinet but it was a cold day and I was craving pancakes. I ordered a long black with pouting cream and the blueberry pancakes. Yum to the coffee, wanted another one but didn't wanna leave my pup. And the pancakes were just fab! Such a gorgeous lil cafe, one of my favs!

Meal was great the service fast and friendly. Cabniet food looked so good we took a few treats for later. Highly reccomended................

I've been here so many times and I love it! The food is amazing. I love the pork belly sandwich and the iced chocolate is to die for! The staff are very friendly and I'm so surprised by the reviews.. It is an awesome little place. 100+ points for their cream donuts but get in early as they often sell out.
Stella T
Busy place! Baking is fantastic, pleased to see the giant covers over it last weekend. Menu food is nice as is coffee and the service always friendly and efficient. It feels a little hectic in here sometimes but if you can chill out a bit, go with the flow you will be fine (here and in life in general haha) thank u little sister for bringing the yumminess all day errday!
Dmitry Konovalov
Nice food and great cabinet presentation. The atmosphere is a bit strange as this place is always crowed and it is hard to chat. Design is great also. Friendly and fast service.

Although a bit loud and noisy..the place is popular with locals and the hot chocca is excellent. The brownies come with lashings of cream so a nice place for a catch up with a friend.
I liked the funky decor as well, a bit old school, I recognise those chairs from school actually. Friendly staff too.
Bobby Anderson
Awesome pork belly sandwich! Also ordered pancakes which were fluffy, served with fresh condiments.
Aimee Young
I have been here a couple of times mostly for the cakes and coffee either eating in or take away. I would of been more but it's so hard to get a table and is not really kid friendly as its quite crowded. The food is good but a little bland, I had what I thought would be a spicy dish, the beef quesidia but there was no spice or heat at all. The coffee was okay and the cakes are lovely.

I have no hesitation to recommend this cafe to any Henderson locals. My husband and I have been to this cafe for brunch for quite a few times. We were always impressed with the appealing food display. The staffs are always cheerful and can't be more helpful. In my recent visit I found there's a further improvement on menu, both to the presentation and the taste of food. Compare to all the boring franchise cafes with no surprise, Little Sister is a rare found in West.
Very nice cafe, yummy food, friendly staff (the girl served us was very nice ,always smiling ,feel like summer sun in this weather ). Tasteful decor, just a bit too busy need more tables

I saw the Herald Review yesterday, and went to Little Sister Cafe for a brunch, the food, coffee, staff, the atmosphere is so cool and really impressed me! Although the cafe was full of ppl, it didn't take very long to get my orders. Coffee and food is absolutely amazing! Love it xxx.

I saw this cafe in the Herald this week and was very surprised. I have been here a couple of times now.

The food is OK, it does sound and look amazing, but I am always very let down with the flavour. This is with the food on the menu and in the cabinet. The coffee is OK.

The staff appear quite inexperienced and don't appear to have a good understanding on what makes a cafe great. They lack a quite deal unfortunately, especially their manner (it's not friendly or welcoming).

The lay out of the cafe is great!! There is lots of parking and despite its location on a busy main road, it has the potential to flourish! However the food and the skill of the staff needs a bit of a revamp.

Unfortunately there are a couple of other cafes very close that are much better.
Benjamin Boyle
I have been to little sister cafe three times over the past four weeks. Today everything was spot on, thanks for making my day guys. See you soon.

I was skeptical about visiting here after the mixed ratings on Zomato but I was pleasantly surprised. I went with 3 friends on a Saturday morning and the place was packed! The coffees were ok but the food was excellent. Arrived it a timely manner despite the busy trade. Everything looked yummy and tasted yummy too. The staff were very nice and very accommodating on correcting an ordering mistake,

What a great little cafe out West.... Although can be very busy!! The cabinet food is very appealing... And was yum... The pastry treats all looked really good so I took some home. The selection on menu wasn't very big... But I enjoyed what I tried. Service is friendly. Just added another star as we came here for breakfast and it was delicious!

Really busy little spot a little crammed on a Saturday morning but I guess the food was good so it should be. Good little cafe and really decent food. Definitely recommend if u you are in the area. Chilli Lamb Sausage roll

Great place and the confectionaries, deserts and pastries are INSANELY GOOD! Freshly made, one must visit this place purely for their sweet treats and coffees. That being said, brunch here is lovely and their smoothies are delish as well! I've been here a fair few times now, and I'm really having fun discovering all their little gems on the menu.

I have visited Little Sister Cafe a few times and the food is very good! Unfortunately I don't enjoy their chai lattes. But staff are pleasant and the cafe is an eclectic mix of recycled and collectable items.

I recently visited following a 5/5 herald rating. I ordered the breakfast salad. Quite simply dismal. Very flavourless. My partner got the mushrooms with quinoa (3/5 from him for this dish). The counter food looked nice but surely if you have received the highest rating, everything should be amazing? The coffee was good - the only positive from my visit. Disappointing.
Love The Experience, Love The Brand.
It's a great start to the day when the coffee is how you like it. What makes the taste of it better is the environment which you drink it with. Little sister cafe in Henderson has the blend of a wonderfully warm kiwi vibe, pushing what is good for you to what I deserve on a weekend. This cafe is everything a treat should be. Oversized doughnuts filled with cream, pancakes decant with fat blueberries, saviour the flavour of the risotto or a classic bacon and egg pie.
A hectic transient third space where taste buds collide. If u need a place to enjoy a touch of noise, pinch of coffee culture. This is the place to try.

This is a cute little cafe. Great selection of food displayed and very appealing. My big farmers breakfast came out with the 1 tiny sausage, a bit disappointing. Eggs were cooked nicely though

We've been wanting to try Little Sister for a while. They've only just opened on Saturdays, so we thought we'd give it a go. We arrived for brunch mid-morning, we found it easy to park, plenty of parking outside. We walked in and loved the cool, wooden sign on the wall, and the ambiance of the place. We had the brioche, which apparently they make there, it was the best brioche i've had in a while. I had the Balinese sticky black rice, which was really yummy, and looked very pretty. My husband had the 'The Magic Sister' which was a vegetarian option for the big breakfast, which he really enjoyed. Friendly service, and the baked goods looked amazing. I took away one of the vegan coconut balls, and a soy chai, both were really yum. We'll be making this a regular, local cafe.

I came here as I had seen it in the herald and thought I would pop in and give it a go. When I pulled up I thought to myself 'this is a cute little cafe!'. Inside the cafe I could see lots of little groups of people and I had a look at the cabinets and menus to see the variety on offer.

On first impressions on the food, I would say they looked amazing! The only thing I would say is that I wish they would cover their pastries and scones on their counters because while I was waiting in line I could see flies on the pastries so that really made me avoid anything that wasn't in the cabinet.

I waited in line for ages to be served as well. I would think that if you were continually busy that you would know to employ more staff to take orders and I was only the second person in line as well. There was only one person taking orders and loads of staff everywhere else. A line quickly grew behind me and it was only 10.30am! I can't imagine what it would be like during morning coffee rushes!

I got the banofee tart which was odd with the popcorn on it. I think I would have enjoyed it more without it since popcorn, after having stayed out a while loses its crunch and becomes unappealing. The passionfruit loaf was amazing and so cute. The coffee was average, nothing to rave home about.

All in all I would probably not hurry back again soon which is a shame cause all the food looked so tempting!

It is such a little cute quirky place. Loved the decor and the cabinet food looked amazing. The meals off the menu were delicious just quite small and not filling at all. Love the cabinet food.

Little Sister is a great little find out in Henderson - West Auckland. After going with a friend who currently resides out there, she informed me that there is no other place like it in the area. I can see why the hype was high, with it being near full on a Friday lunch.

We both actually ordered the same dish, but again with the lack of the menu options that didn't contain eggs, I swapped the eggs for avocado. The dish was good, but I think it just lacked flair and seasoning. It was just a small step away from being that much better. Also, the menu item is listed as a mushroom stack, so it implied that it was more like mushrooms on toast, so I wasn't quite expecting one large portobello mushroom, however all was cooked well.

I also ordered the green smoothie - sorry this may have real name which i can't remember, it was actually really good but was not cold! It just isn't quite the same when its not cold, I suggest they add ice, or frozen banana.

The cafe is chic and modern, the service could use a bit more training, just with their communication skills and acknowledgements but overall it was pleasant and I think it's a stepping stone of what can come of Henderson.

Rating
Food: 7.5/10
Service: 7/10
Value for Money: Good

91 Central Park Drive, Henderson
Opening Hours: Mon-Fri 730am-3pm

Beautiful cabinet food, Great cakes and coffee. Ordered a scroll but 20 mins later after all drinks finished it still hadn't been delivered so we just cancelled it. However no high chairs for kids which is disappointing and the fluffy they made my toddler was so hot it burnt his wee mouth when he took a drink. Not ideal at all for children but maybe that is what they are going for?

This is in my neighbourhood and I was not aware of it till Viva mag featured them. Place is along central park drive with parking off street or a few in front of the cafe itself.

The cafe was busy and the decor is nice! Big long tables to share and some small two/three seating tables. Lots of cabinet good to choose from and their donuts were good. I had stuff eggplant and salmon albeit a bit on dry side was still tasty.
Pros: close by , tasty food and lots of options food wise including caramel slice which was so delish!

Cons: pls dont put unwrap cutlery directly on my table as there is a container on my table that i can grab from ,youngish staff and saw coffee wasted as they didnt know whose order and maybe staff should at least point out to people that there is an option of hot meals as it didnt say it on the board? For first timers like me pointing out the printed menu would have been nice. I will definitely give it a second chance as place has huge potential and few tweaking would make this on par with my favourite cafes!
