Review 160 Hobsonville Point Cafe - Hobsonville

Lets Go
Standard Kiwi Cafe done well. Friendly and Efficient staff. The reduced balsamic with my Eggs Benedict was a nice surprise. Would have liked my Hollandaise sauce a bit more tangy and lemony. Would definitely go back.

These guys are awesome. Found them as a suggestion for a Google maps Cafe near me while driving through Hobsinville. Lovely service, super kind, friendly, and really yummy, good quality food. We had their Thai prawn salad, Beef salad, and Peking duck burger with chips (for three of us). Wow, great portion sizes and very quick service. Seems like they have developed a really lovely community and regular customers who come and visit this cafe. Please consider going to see these guys if you're in the area. Great outdoor seating if sunny.

What a great breakfast we all had - all were enjoyed and no complaints at all! Great portion size, tasty and a fair price. Will definitely be coming here again. There was also an assortment of cabinet food for people preferring a muffin or scone. Staff were very friendly and conducive to an enjoyable morning.

A pretty average cafe with the usual menu. Nothing really stood out , My Eggs Benedict were cooked perfectly however the Hollandaise sauce was average and the bacon not cooked long enough. A Huge latte in a large mug/cup was a pleasant surprise.

We used to be regular customers here because of the toasted sandwiches, which were always good quality, contained good ingredients and were reasonable value. Coming here was a regular treat for us but since the toasted sandwiches were removed from the menu we've not been back. We were very disappointed by this change.

Always enjoyed my experiences coming here. It has become a small ritual when traveling to Auckland. Lovely staff and excellent food. Also prepared with the best bowl cappuccinos to get your day buzzing. A++

Went there today and the service was so lovely! Really friendly and the food was delicious. Love that there is a play area for babies as well! Can’t wait to come back with my son so I can enjoy a coffee while he plays!

Friendly staff, that remember you. Creamy mushrooms is my go to and rarely disappoints, coffee is okay, not quite as strong as I normally like it, but always consistent.

Expensive place and quantities are small even for the big breakfast. However it was tasty. Average service and took quite a long while. It was busy that day and possibly need to see what happens on another day.

Nice little cafe. My partner and i shared the big breakfast, chicken fettuccine and wedges.. it was so good! Cafe had heaters above us which was even better. There is also a kids area so now we know we can bring our son next time. Friendly staff !

Great cafe! Good tasting food that's well presented. Warm welcome, fast service and friendly staff. Good coffee too! Best part is they have an enclosed play area for the kids that has all the essentials (movie, books, toys, bean bags) so mum and dad can have a decent quiet meal while kids are happy and busy.

I love 160 and much prefer it to of the other (also) great coffee and eats venues around Hobsonville. The standout feature apart from the coffee is the husband and wife team who run the place. They are so friendly and welcoming I always enjoy popping in for a coffee, a cake or a chat. The white chocolate and blueberry slice is a personal favourite as are the homemade dumplings and the brunch menu is always good if you have the time.

Came here for brunch this morning with my sister and nephew. This place is located in the new Hobsonville Point development. There is street parking only available. Lots of outdoor seating with standard tables and chairs, also these cool wheel wagon seating arrangements. Noticed also that there is bike stands and water bowls for dogs, which is a great.

Indoor, lots of seating arrangements. We first noticed the child's play area which was awesome. It is an enclosed area, that has a beautiful animal mural on the wall. Faux grass wax laid the floor, beanbags for watching the flat screen tv that has movies playing on it. Also on the wall was a unit that housed the tv, books and children's toys. My nephew looked super pleased and it made it easy to order our food and drinks.

We were handed menu's and choose a table right next to the play area so we could keep an eye on my nephew. We ordered:BLAT, French Toast and 2 Iced Mocha's. Service was super friendly and prompt. Impressions on food: My BLAT was delicious and the serving size was really decent for the price $18. My sister had the French Toast ($16.50) and was most impressed with the presentation and the taste. So filling, she couldn' finish it all off. Our Iced Mocha's (6.50 each) were served in mason jars. Equal balance of the coffee and chocolate flavours which made it especially enjoyable. We also had buy one main get one free coupon and saved $16.50

Sidenote: Restroom was as new black and white tiled. Very clean. Also noticed there was power plug outlets on one wall so you could charge your phone or laptop. It's quiet here with background music that is not played to loud. I imagine this would be a good space to work or do uni stuff while enjoying a hot cuppa. Wifi is also available onsite.

Would I return? Definitely. It's such a great space if you are looking for a place to dine out and catch up. Especially great if you have little ones, the play area is perfect for them and you can keep a close eye while they are entertained. The service is attentive and friendly, you really feel welcomed here.

Visited during the long weekend and received great service. Great fast service. The cafe has a child area that's gated, though our 2 year old was able to get it open.
I had the eggs Benni and was good there were no complaints from our table.
This cafe is a great location just across the road from the park. Would come back for the coffee alone
Really good tasting food in the Hobsonville Point centre. Liked that lunch came with complimentary sparkling water too. A nice new local.
We had the squid and the steamed milky buns with pork belly. Really good flavour combinations.

Following a nice walk around the Hobsonville area we decided to try the Hobsonville Point Cafe which is a recent addition in the area, replacing the Roberts Cafe. It was a nice enough day so we sat outside - on very stylish seating. The menu offers many of the usual suspects, with a twist, but also a range of other interesting dishes. We went for the Avocado Salad and the Eggs bene with pork belly. The Eggs Benedict and pork belly were very tasty but the dish suffered from being served on burger buns rather than the usual toasted English muffins or ciabatta bread. The buns were not good quality bread and were barely toasted, which let this otherwise lovely meal down. The Avocado salad, which included a considerable amount of prosciutto, was superb - light and tasty with good quality ingredients. The wait staff were very good and the ambience is nice and relaxed. Overall a very good addition to the area.
