Review Woodstock Hotel - Hokitika

Im gluten free & was very pleased to see decent gf food on the menu. The lasagne & salad was really tasty. Hubby enjoyed his filo & salad too. The bar staff were friendly too 👍🙂

Had dinner, pork ribs and pork belly which were really good and the desserts as well. The pork belly does come with thin sauce which it would of been braised in-very nicely

Just had to post a photo of the Pork with Crackling, apple and cider sauce, on mashed potatoes and with seasonal vegetables. Not what we were expecting. The sauce was definitely a thin soup that drowned the mashed potatoes and that apparently contained 6 of the 7 seasonal vegetables. The 7th being carrots. The rest of the table enjoyed their meals so I just took 1 point off. No apologies offered but our lovely waitress did her job well and helped retain the 4th star in our experience. We will go again but won’t order pork.

I really enjoyed staying two nights at Woodstock Hotel. The rooms were reasonably priced, simple but with everything we required and beautifully laundered sheets. We really enjoyed the evening meals and beers that we had at the bar. These were reasonably priced. The locally produced beer was excellent and the meals of good quality and filling.

Stayed there with my son last year. Loved the place and the restaurant. Owners were amazing. This year came back for a meal with the hubby. Can't fault anything about this place. The owners son servered us for dinner. He was absolutely wonderful. The food. AMAZING! It's heart warming to see such dedication and attention to detail. Please support family own business. They are the heart and staple of our beautiful country. Thank you for a wonderful dinner and your genuine hospitality.

Great country pub with friendly staff and high quality food. Loved the hazy ale as well. If you have a campervan you can ask to stay in the car park if you’ve eaten / drunk in the pub - would recommend!

We stayed overnight in our campervan. The waiter was great, the food was good and fair price. Their own brewed dark beer was really good. Service was a bit slow regarding the short amount of customers but still really good overall.

We stayed at the hotel and ate at the bar. The food was very delicious. Everything and everyone was very chill and friendly. It was very relaxing, stress free, overnight stay for quite cheap. The cabins were surprisingly spacious and very modern. They had a lovely bathroom. Cabin also had a tv and free wifi.

Worth the drive. Good people, great beer, very tasty food, well priced. They try to source all they can locally and yep, they are recommended.

Good food and beer! If you‘re a camper: Stop there, it’s free to stay there. There’s a sink and a toilet. At the weekend there are some nice jam sessions and gigs. Awesome!

When visiting a new place there are the gems that everyone knows about, and then there are the hidden ones that shine brighter than any others. The Woodstock royal mail hotel shines very bright indeed. A stand out menu and delicious beverages, all at very affordable prices, jam sessions and the loving local feel have been a wonderful highlight of my Time in NZ. Thanks woody, I'm already looking forward to coming back
