Review Korath Thai Cuisine - Hokitika

We came by quite late, only to realize that they were closing. However, they were nice enough to let's us sit down and finish our meal. Pad Thai was awesome and green curry chicken was very good too! First time I had Thai iced tea with whipped cream. 😀

Fantastic authentic thai food! $23 for a pineapple fried rice is on the higher side, but portions were huge. Green curry amazing too with tons of free veggies and chicken. Lots of people, so come early before meal times to book yourself a seat!

Really good food! Received our food very quickly and looked really nice. Decent price for portions. Spring rolls are mini but very good.

This small establishment came recommended by other travelers we met on our trip. We made a group reservation for a table in advance of arriving in town given its popularity and limited seating. Glad we did so because there was a line waiting as we wrapped up our dinner. Our group of 8 ordered a variety of entrees and everyone finished their meals. Tasty so no risk in ordering what sounds good Informal restaurant with excellent service. Recommended but plan to wait without reservations. Carry out may also be a good option for those with their own place to hang.

Food here is good, tried the pad mee korath with chicken is good, but the portion is smaller than my expectations, the chicken given is more than the rice noodles, but the overall taste is good. Long wait, but it is worth the wait.

Our B&B hosts mentioned - rightly so - that this Thai place is the best spot for good food in Hokitika. And indeed, you should book ahead to get a nice table in the small restaurant or you need to wait in the longer queue for people ordering for take way. So this could be an option if you are staying somewhere in an Appartement or what to eat on the beach around the corner. But more important … the food is authentic thai and great taste - worth a stop on your route down the West coast

Delicious Thai food! Tom Kar soup with coconut broth and vegetables was so healthy. Big enough for 2 people. Many rolls in the veggie spring roll serving. Jasmine tea for 2 :) #EatWell

Staff are super friendly and food is delicious!! Great price and large portions!! The spicy drunken noodles and sweet and sour crispy chicken were excellent. One of the best Thai food restaurants in the South Island!

Had the prawn on toast as an starter followed by Tom ka and drunken noodles. All dishes were incredibly good. Probably didn’t need to order the starter as the mains were a substantial size. Would highly recommend this place, exceptional food and friendly service.
