Review Suzie's Dumplings - Howick

As one of the only shop left in the Highland Park center, its good to know that it is nice. They do dumplings. Different flavours, different ways to cook them and different sauces. I grabbed a few for takeaway but they do have a fairly decent seating area. It took about 10 minutes or so to fry up the dumplings. I had the pork and chives, and the vegetarian one. Both were quite tasty. Easy and delicious meal if you are in the area, particularly if you've stopped by Countdown for some groceries.

This place does amazing dumplings! Sooo fresh & tasty. First time there today, will definitely be back. $13 for 20 dumplings, you dont leave hungry The husband & wife (im presuming) are so friendly and accommodating. Even brought frozen ones for home. $11 for frozen 20 dumplings

Went here with my wife and mother in law since we were around the area. Saw the great reviews so decided to give it a try as well. The reviews were on point, and I gotta say that as a self-proclaimed "dumpling expert", this little location has the best tasting dumplings in Auckland (and I've tried countless locations already all around town). The skin of the dumpling is clearly hand-made and is very thin and tasty (unlike others which have a very thick pasty shell). This is no small feat, as its extremely difficult to master this art without the dumping breaking (think of relating it to spaghetti... how the thinnest noodles are always the hardest as they easily break). The inside of the dumplings tastes very good too. Not too salty and with enough flavour to pair well with the black vinegear + chili oil sauce. The value was superb (20 dumplings for 13-15 NZD), and the service was immpecable. Super polite gentleman whom made sure you felt welcomed. The location is a bit hidden and the dining area is small, so dont expect something grand or flashy. Its clearly a small family owned restaurant, but dont let that deter you from trying it. Once you try it, you will probably make your way back to grab dumplings again. Will definitely come back again!

Friendly staff, clean restaurant, fair price and most importantly - very tasty! We ordered the steamed chicken and vegetables dumplings and it was very satisfying. I loved the fact they they give you the choice of ordering the dumplings as steamed, boiled or fried as most places don't give you all three options. We will definitely be coming back and would'nt hesitate to recommend Suzie's dumplings to others.

Went here for the first time last year and honestly, super happy I was introduced as I am a repeat customer since then. Dumplings are so tasty and delicious and yet price is very affordable. I highly recommend for all dumpling lovers!!!

Delicious dumplings. Only dumplings. Cooked the method you want for eating in or takeaway, or get a bag of frozen dumplings to cook at home. Super tasty, high quality ingredients, seafood ones and pork with pickled cabbage especially delicious.

Great little spot to satisfy your dumpling cravings. Generous amounts and prices. Their service is also really grea and they're very helpful if you're confused about what to get. A great alternative to more widely known Barilla ones in West Auckland.

Juicy dumplings! We like to have ours steamed but it’s up to you on how you want it, fried, boiled or steamed. Clean little place and great service! Great selection of different fillings too.

Suzie’s dumplings is AMAZING and the best dumplings I have ever had. I will never eat dumplings from anywhere else. The service is super friendly and prices are great! My all time favourite is the pork and chive, steamed of course! I really hope they get to keep their spot as all the other shops close!

I have been had dumplings from Suzie’s on a number of occasions and have loved them every single time. The staff are always so pleasant and happy and their food is always so fresh! Would highly recommend to anyone and everyone!

Suzies is my favourite place to get dumplings in East Auckland! My personal favourite is the chicken and prawn (pan fried). You get a big portion size for a great price and there are many sauces and dumpling flavours to choose from. I often try to convince my partner that we need to visit at least once a week! Friendly staff and quick service as well.

Love the dumplings(only tried the vegeterian ones). The service is always good whether ordering on the phone or in store. Would definitely recommend for dumpling lovers.

Definitely the best dumplings I've had. I highly recommend going for the fried dumplings, as this is only place I've found that does it right. The fry is very light with just the right amount of crisp. Doesn't feel drowned in oil, or overcooked to the point of hardening. The Pork and Chives is probably the top choice and my personal favourite, with chilli oil, soy sauce and vinegar for dip. The staff are incredibly nice, friendly and welcoming. Apologies for the photo of my half eaten plate - I had to just jump right in. Check out this place if you're ever in the neighbourhood. A very modest little place but with amazing dumplings.

A local favourite! The owners here are welcoming and humble - always willing to offer suggestions to someone new to the dumpling world. The dumplings are humble themselves but are packed with a lot of flavour. Personal favourite will always be the pork and chives.

super good dumplings. would recommend pork and chive panfried, the dumplings were panfried very well, super crispy but not drenched in oil. good value too!<br/><br/>service was also very good, the lady was kind and offered us tea. the place is nice and clean

Place was super clean and service was really friendly. I drank water lots and the kind lady go back and forward filling my cup. We noticed lots of take away call coming through but we didn’t wait too long for our dish, the lady said 10 mins and it was quite bang on. <br/><br/>We ordered pork with egg, prawn, and chives dumpling boiled. We felt the filling was juicy and nice but we made a mistake by getting it boiled so feel the skin got goey as it get cold, we should have asked to be panfried to lift the dish to another level. We thought price was fair and we ordered frozen pork fennel and pork chives to bring home, we will definitely try to pan fried them. Nyum!

Love this place! Staff are very friendly and attentive and dumplings are made fresh, only takes approx 10 mins and Free tea is offered! They also have three options on how you want it cooked, boiled, steamed and fried. I recommend pork and cabbage fried. Most of all, would definitely recommend this place x

Get pork and cabbage fried with sweet chili sauce. Sooo good I had never tried dumplings before my friends forced me here and I think I went every day for about a month. The guy that works there is soo nice too, always very friendly

Since this is near my place, me and my bf decided to try this place out. The dumplings are always freshly made to order. Or at least freshly steamed to order so youd have to wait for 15 minutes. I always get take aways so know that you pay I think 1$ more to have sauces with your dumplings.

Great place to stop by if wanting some good Chinese dumplings. I’m a huge fan of the beef with carrot and onion myself, but to be honest they’re all pretty good. The owners are lovely and friendly, and nothing is too much. The decor is a bit sparse but don’t let that stop you. And Auckland council needs like an A++ for the cleanliness of the kitchen! <br/><br/>I can also testify that these dumplings are about as close as you’ll get to real Chinese dumplings without living in China (trust me, I lived there for three years of my life).

We were one of the very first customers through the doors when Suzies first opened and we knew then as we know now that this place would stand the test of time. Great Dumplings, great prices and great staff. We go back there really often and I honestly would recommend to anyone... give it a go.

This place is amazeballs. I honestly have passed this place by numerous times as it looked abit dinky but then mommy bought me some takeaways one day and I've been going hard since. My staple fave is prawn, eggs & chive, fried, dumplings have just the right amount of filling and are super tasty. For $14 for 20 dumplings which is pretty decent meal for two people IMO. My only criticism is needs more standard sauce choices. Fully deserving of 5.

Finally we have a good dumpling place in the Pakuranga/Highland Park area! <br/>Always fresh, they're made to order, lots of choice in flavours and sauces to go with it. The pork and fennel is a favourite! The staff are incredibly helpful and very attentive. <br/>The place is very simple, nothing too fancy but the food never disappoints. Very convenient for takeaways. They do have the option of doin 10 pieces if someone is looking for a small size meal.

Dumplings are very delicious and very reasonably priced. The service was fantastic and friendly. The restaurant was fancy but very cleanly kept.

Worst customer service i have experienced in my life. Came one day to try the dumplings which was average in flavour could have rated this place higher but the owner? was quite insulting with the way we were treated. Will not go into details but it was an awful experience for me and my husband!
