Review Cafe Saigon - Howick

The cafe is located in the shop area on Union Road close to the Whitford Road roundabout. They sell cafe drinks as well as Vietnamese food. they have a nice selection of food to choose from. I went with the crispy noodles with pork and prawns. The noodles were crispy had had a nice flavour. There was plenty of prawns and pork in the sauce. It would have been nicer if the sauce was a bit thicker but it was still quite tasty. Brother got the grilled pork chop, shredded pork and pork loaf on rice and that looked really good. I was able to try some of the grilled pork chops and that was quite nice. We also had the spring rolls and I didn't mind them. The sauce wasn't as good as other places though since it wasn't as flavourful. Service was really nice. The server was very friendly and they even gave us three bowls of sauce for the spring rolls so that we had one each. It is worth a stop if you are in the area. It was also quite busy with takeaway order when we were there but we didn't have to wait too long for the food, maybe about 10 minutes. There are two driveways into the carpark area and it is one way so make sure you go in and out from the right entrance.

The food is fresh and the staff were absolutely lovely. The Vietnamese coffee was great and the bill at the end was surprisingly cheap. I would definitely recommend cafe Saigon to anyone who likes Vietnamese food.

Howick...you lucky lovelies in East Auckland have amazing Vietnamese food! Tucked near New World Howick, we have Cafe Saigon...you want value AND delicious authenticity? Impossible. But Cafe Saigon achieves the impossible and serves it so wonderfully! Sumptuous savoury filled pancakes, rich and flavour-packed pho (beef noodle soup), and familiar, yet exciting banh mi...We could not even get through a fraction of the gorgeous food! That's all right, we'll be back! I cannot wait!

I have visited 4 different Vietnamese restaurants around Auckland. This is the best Vietnamese food ever in Auckland. So so delicious.

Ordered 3 dishes (B2, B3 and C1) for dinner yesterday. They were so delicious especially the spring rolls and the pork chops. The spicy was right for us. Super clean and good menu! It definitely will be the one of our favourite restaurants!

Amazing food - got the Rare Beef Noodle Soup which was full of flavour with the Lemongrass Chicken on rice and Crispy Spring Rolls for an entree. Would definitely recommend trying out this place if in the area! Binh provided such good service for takeaways where they txt when the order is ready. Definitely coming back.

I had a lemongrass chicken salad and blueberry smoothie. Both were delicious as was the tea. Great, personable service, clean and upmarket inside, with nice music. Very reasonably priced, too.

Amazing authentic Vietnamese restaurant in the heart of East Auckland. We were in the area and picked this place based on reviews - well deserved. The Phō was amazing, especially the broth, so was the sandwich. We'll be back next time we're in the area.

Order some food for takeaway after hear good things about this place. Food was amazingly delicious, it had good flavour and was not overpowering. I had the egg noodles with chicken and also a pork spring roll. Supplied with a pot of chilli sauce which was really hot, just how I like it. I would definitely order from here again.

Fresh and authentic food. Really love their banh mi. The service is top notch and the premises is always clean and tidy. Good atmosphere with background music whilst dining - something a lot of places lack. Not too noisy even when there are other groups and the pricing is spot on for a good meal.

Epically good. Prawn and pork spring rolls were plump, fresh and generously sized - not soggy. The rare beef pho was delicious with tender, good quality beef and as good as anything I've had in Vietnam. Highly recommended.
