Very authentic Indian food. Every dish we ordered were fantastic.

The food here is great! Slightly pricey but staff is friendly and happy to customize spice levels to your liking. The decor of the restaurant is good too.

Came here 3 years ago for a takeaway and the food was lovely. Tonight I returned and had a meal with my son. If there was one time in your life where the meal was perfect, taste was heaven and the service was 10 out of 10.....this was that moment. I have had a fair share of Indian food around the world and this place is the best hands down. I just wish I was greedy enough to eat more.

Absolutely beautiful meal. Flavors outstanding. I had the Chicken Afgani mild... just perfect. Staff welcoming and surroundings were great. Highly recommend

Friendly staff and always ready to cater for different dietary requirements. They also offer delivery services just ask when you place your order

The food was lovely, and the service delightful. You can choose how hot you want the food, which is different from when we are in the UK. This is a great idea. I would highly recommend.

Very Good! Greeted Me at the reception and at the table - simple mannerism, but so important. My meal surpassed my expectations. Decor is inviting and warm, certainly adds to the experience. Thank you for hosting me. Will come by again to try another dish.

Love this place. Great food (try the butter chicken; medium spicy & garlic naan), easy and prompt online ordering system. It’s always such a pleasure to walk in and see all the smiling faces in the kitchen and behind the takeaways counter. Such a lovely staff.

Just happened to pass by this beautiful town in South NZ and came across Bombay Palace. We were not very hungry and were in a hurry so just ordered Paranthas (Aloo, Paneer) with yougurt and tea.. Paranthas were stuffed heavily and one was enough for a person. We left half parantha as my kiddo could only eat half. They have a separate area for takeaways.. Ambience 5* Food 5* Washrooms 5*

The outside of this restaurant does not reflect the inside. Beautifully layed out, clean, pristine restaurant. Great quality curries.

I have had takeaway from here a number of times and dined in once, and each time was amazing. The takeaway is seperate so you don't have to wait awkwardly in the restaurant. The takeaway is fast and quick. The service inside the restaurant was good and attentive. Wednesday curries are only $13, what an absolute bargain. They are clearly the best curry in town, MILES ahead of Little India, and cheaper too!

I have eaten here, have used their take away and delivery service also. 5 stars for each. I (10 mins ago) ordered delivery and didn't realize I left my eftpos card at home. They still let me keep the curry and allowed me to pay when I get my card. The gentlemen was so kind about it, and also the food came within 15 mins. Thank you Bombay for your continuing outstanding service. Paige.

I've only been to Bombay Palace once but thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Staff were attentive and friendly - the orders were taken promptly and the food arrived shortly thereafter. Our waiter was engaging and chatted to us about the curries we wanted to order. I'm taking one star off because the place itself is decorated slightly too much like a nightclub, but this wasn't a major issue.

I love Bombay Palace. I have been eating Indian food all my 52 years and this is the real deal. The management and staff go the extra mile to make you dining experience perfect. The staff are really really good, the food is truly awesome, the service is always brilliant - lastweek I went after a tidal wave of school kids and we were still put first! The choices are great. And the specials are special!! All you want in a resturaunt. Thanks guys xx

We didn't actually go to the restaurant but we did get takeaways from here recently.
We had Chicken Tika Masala and Mali Kofta plus assorted extras like naan, popadoms, raita and onion baji. All of it was really nice. The koftas were tasty and there were heaps of large chunks of chicken in the Tika.
This is the first time we have had curry from Bombay Palace but it really was good. It's going to be hard now to choose between Bombay Palace, Little India, Dhaba and Curry Guru. Spoilt for choice!

Bombay Palace is our favourite restaurant in Invercargill. The food is always delicious, there's a good selection including vegetarian options and the staff are friendly. But the best thing about it for us is that they are so nice to the kids there. They always give them a free chocolate naan, and they make sure the high-chair is clean. Plus it's fun for the kids to watch the breads being made through the kitchen window. The only thing I don't like is the TV screens playing Bollywood movies - it's a bit distracting.

We have dined at Bombay and had takeaways from here many times and every time we are impressed! My bf and I arrived back in town quite late in the evening one Saturday night and wanted somewhere to eat. It was 9.30 so most places were closing. We went into Bombay on the off chance that we could get some takeaways. They were incredibly nice, even though they were closing soon we were welcomed in and offered menus. They didn't just give us takeaway options they offered us dine in if we wanted as well. We opted for takeaway and while we waited the waiter chatted to us and asked us about our holiday etc
The food was brilliant, service was perfect and we felt really appreciated. This is why we always go back. :-)

Very good service from very friendly staff. The food was very good. The lamb bhuna hot really gave it some wow factor. Would definitely return. The place to go for Indian curries ,for a decent curry. Good surrounding to eat in. Have been invited with friend family for evening meals. Im very happy!! thank you had a great time.

15/09/12 I ordered take aways to be delivered tonight and was terribly let down, The chicken Korma was laden with coriander and it pretty much tasted like Campbell's soup out of a can. The butter chicken lacked every thing and pretty much tasted like a bland tomato soup and as I type this my husband has just picked out the 3rd piece of plastic from from it. I also found plastic in the chicken tika misala which except for the plastic was the best of all the curries that we had ordered. The raita was like watered down yogurt with some veg sliced in it. It is a shame to be so harsh as the last time I ate from here it was pretty good, But in future I will spend the extra $20 and get our Indian from "Little India down the road as it out rates Bombay Palace by 100 to 1

A group of us went in last night for a meal and a catch up. We had a GREAT time! With awesome service in a great surrounding it was just what we needed. The meal was fantastic and at such a good price we will definitely be back again! Thanks heaps :-)

Went to Bombay Palace last night with my partner and we were both pleasantly surprised and blown away with the change in the restaurant. The restaurant is bright, warm, friendly and clean. We had to wait for about 5 minutes for a table because it was so busy. The service and the food were outstanding, would definitely recommend it to anyone and we will be back. Thank you for a great night

Awesome food and great service! The ONLY place to go in invercargill, in fact southland, for a decent curry. Good surrounding to eat in. Have been there with family for evening meals and also during the day with work and never been disappointed. Im very fussy so go try it!!

My wife and I live close to Leicester, UK, which has a thriving Indian community and we eat Indian food all the time. We consider ourselves connoisseurs of curry and can honestly say that the food in the Bombay Palace is as good an Indian meal and you can get. The staff are also very friendly and the prices are very good too. This was the best meal we had on the whole of our NZ honeymoon and we cannot recommend the establishment enough.

Food here was not nice. It lacked the actual flavour and there was more sauce than meat. Not a good deal at all.

had a dinner here celebrating a friend's treat. The tasty chicken tikka masala and kebab have pulled me and I am going back on weekend.Hospitable greets, taste designed by native chef and the family environment... we amused a lot

ive been here twice nad never enjoyed the stale curry stuckto the streaky glass on the tables or the gas heater that was wheeled over to me

this is a pooor excuse for a restaurant, down a dark alley and into a pink room where you have a choice of doors, one which takes you to an old house with bedroom, and one down a cold hall with missing ceiling tiles to a smokey little white room with florecent lighting and people who stare at you.

By far the best makers of curry in invercargill. hands down. and great friendly survice
