Review Thar And Feather - Invercargill

The staff were lovely and the service was quick and efficient. The steak was delicious and perfectly cooked (Med-rare) would highly recommend. The ribs and chicken wings combo wasn't the best though. The ribs were dry and chewy and the sauce flavourless. My son loved the kids pasta Would eat here again.

I see there are some negative reviews for this place, but everyone is entitled to their opinion. But I just want to say that our food was delicious and the service impeccable. The young guy with the curly hair is a real asset to the business - polite and efficient in everything he did. Going back to the food, my partner had the chicken which I tried, it was both moist and flavourful, and I had the ham roast, which was absolutely perfect. When we are in Invercargill again and wanting dinner, we will definitely return.

This is now our new favorite place with great management, service and food. My husband ordered the ribs and I ordered the steak and all was cooked to perfection. We also had apple pie which was homemade and a large portion.

First time dining at thar and feather we had heard great things about this place and decided to give it a try. We arrived and were greeted by who we now know was the restaurant manager, The restaurant was extremely busy, we didn’t have a booking, but she had a table made up for us and She let us know that there may be a bit of a wait and assured us that they would do there best. My husband and I ordered the Rosemary garlic chicken which was nice but a bit dry and the Lamb Shank was ok, The service that we received was amazing and we will definitely be returning. Thank you to the restaurant manager and her team you all should feel proud.

I was in a party of 4 who enjoyed a bar meal. My steak was not normal, possibly the grill may have been at an incorrect level but it was still enjoyable. Nice ev.

Bit disappointed, but hopefully an off day. Was a note saying staff training, so that makes it more understandable. We will go back as I feel it is usually better than this time.

Absolutely delicious, really enjoyed our experience at the thar and feather service was fast, and food was amazing all the different dishes presented looked Absolutely wonderful, service was welcoming and always helpful atmosphere was top notch highly recommend the thar and feather

Good place for a drink and a meal. Pleasant atmosphere with TAB facilities & sports playing. Economic menu.

Highly recommend, we ate her two nights in a row. Our meals were delicious and service excellent, lovely decor and atmosphere.

Arrived right on opening, nothing was a problem. Good service, great food. Good choices available from menu.
