Review Thai Thai Restaurant - Invercargill

Came in with my sister and we really enjoyed our food. Mouth watering flavors! The milk teas were awesome too! Nice presentation and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Also wonderful customer service! Would recommend 100% 🤗

Ordered Tom Yum red curry and green curry on a chilly day. Wasn't expecting much due to the scarcity of spice in New Zealand, but oh boy, it exceeded expectations. The explosion of spice and aroma in my mouth was incredible. Served piping hot alongside fragrant Thai rice, and the service was top-notch too! A must-try if you're in Invercargill! 🍛🌶️🔥

Arrived around 6pm tonight was greeted straight away and got to pick our own seats as we were walk ins. Entrée arrived quickly service was great so far got a black pepper hot pot and partner drunken noodle. Mains tasted great and very hot and fresh. First time trying Thai Thai and am impressed

I lived in Thailand for 4 months. This is the closest you can get from Thai food in Invercargill. Delicious food! I was kind of hoping they got morning glory with pork belly - my favourite in Thailand. But it's not their fault. I've been looking for this amazing vegetable in NZ and no success so far. It's not an easy ingredient to find. Anyway, I had a hot basil stir-fried pork and rice. Great choice! Go for it. Btw, the atmosphere is very Thai. Love it! Update: I had to take one star away. I've been there a few times since. Everytime I went for lunch, it was pretty good. Once I went for dinner though and it felt like a completely different place. The worst part is that I convinced 3 friends who had never had Thai food before to try it and, unfortunately, it wasn't good. We had pad thai, a tamarind sauce dish and a pineapple fried rice. First two were good, but did not taste authentic; the last one was my biggest disappointment. I simply love this dish and I was thinking it would blow my friends' minds. It was very bad. You could taste a lot of curry on it and no pineapple at all. It looks like it was just badly executed... Or maybe the chef was trying something different that did not work at all. Anyway, I feel very sad because I'm not sure my friends will be keen to try Thai food for a while.

This restaurant may be small, but its food really does pack a lot of great taste! Not only was the food good, but the atmosphere was great and the owners were from Thailand and knew all of the thai customs and flavours. It was also packed full of people who were all enjoying their meals. I would definitely go again!

Ordered two meals and starters for delivery, food was on time and hot. Good portion sizes and both meals tasted great. Definitely recommend

Polite staff, average food but for the price we paid, we couldn't expect too much. Fish cake - really good Green curry (chicken) - good Fried tofu - ordinary, not worth the amount paid for the small portions Ginger Beef Stir Fry and Drunken Meat (prawns) - taste about the same. Pad Thai - taste a lot like tomato ketchup noodles but it's still tasty

Amazing food, the staff extremely friendly and helpful they may my daughter feel very comfortable. A lot of select her own cutlery, plate and cup. The food was incredible. What’s the best Massamam curry I’ve had in New Zealand. Highly recommend!

I took my son who has a nut allergy. The staff were amazing and made sure his and my meals were nut-free. Beautiful food and great service!

Love Thai Thai! Lunch special menu has a lot of options at a reasonable price for how great everything is. Soups, Thai curries, noodles, and stir fry options. I think I have had one of each and they are all epic! Get mild if you don’t like spicy things, medium spicy and up if you are after a heat adventure. Recently learned that they deliver too, which has been awesome and easy to do online.

I was after a good Thai tom yum soup. The staff suggested that I try the red tom yum. Thai Thai Restaurant did not disappoint and supplied a beautiful authentic experience with the kiwi twist of green lipped mussels. Friendly helpful staff too. I loved it. Thank you ขอบคุณ

I eat here or get takeaway Thai often and I rate Thai Thai as some of the best Thai food in the country thus far and their lunchtime deal is the best value healthy meal you'll get in Invercargill.
