Review The Cheeky Llama Cafe - Invercargill

Edit from 2* to 4*: I was offered a new milkshake. Which was better than the 1st one. Excellent service and customer care! — original review — The Soda-Cream milkshake is not good. It’s not even cold… The cappuccino is average. The stars are for the friendly service.

We booked this venue for an after hours 21st event. It was great for a smaller, more intimate gathering but still large enough to get up and dance or even mingle outside if the weather is good. Melwyn and the team were gracious and super friendly hosts and everyone was commenting on the food, atmosphere and service being amazing. Would definitely recommend this venue for smaller functions!

Excellent Llama breakfast. Plate was packed. Cheaper than all the other cafes by a couple of dollars. Not a fan of all the dogs. At least they weren't barking inside like the Beach House cafe. Well done Melwin and the team.

Enjoyed the atmosphere of the café and the surrounding area of the park is beautiful, but I found the coffee to be just average.

Was super busy being a Sunday, was a wait for coffee but totally understandable considering how busy they were. Staff we so lovely! Our coffees were fantastic

Although the interior is very old fashion (but I'm Dutch, a kiwi might judge differently), it is a welcoming place. Perfectly located next to the children's playground. Staff is friendly too. The quality of the food was very good. I've had the nachos and it was extremely filling, tasty (later I found out I could have asked for a half portion, I wish I knew before as it was too much) and delicious. A good price for such a good meal. I would definitely visit again.

Our group of 8 dined at the Cheeky Llama for our evening meal on Friday night. Staff and service were absolutely excellent and went out of their way to accommodate us. Likewise our meals were first class. Can’t rate this cafe highly enough. Amazing and thank you all so much. Great food, great service, great location!

Today I met with a group of friends and we spent about 2 hours chatting, laughing and eating nice food and coffee! The service was impeccable and staff very friendly

Coffee and food were great, lovely friendly staff, warm environment. Eggs bene with bacon and BLT cooked just the way it should be.

Nice spot to stop after a walk in the park.

Cosy place, good food, some staff did not speak and rush around made me feel unwelcomed etc, hopefully that's a once off
