Review Wayfarer Cafe - Invercargill

Boris and Nina Vaynman
We had a tremendous experience with the friendliest staff of Wayfarer Cafe. We ended up in Invercargill after missing a connection in Auckland, after just having flown almost 16 hours from Chicago. We were tired, hungry and with 3 boys who were showing all the signs you can imagine of 3 boys having a just had this experience. The ladies could tell we needed a bit of extra care - and they stepped up! Great conversation, patience and amicably explaining to these Yankees the different menu options. The food was yummy - I had a chicken wrap, my wife had a vegetarian frittata, and the boys had cheese sandwiches (and chips, and chocolate). The coffee was delicious, and Steinlagers - well, that was a necessity. (But they did have 6 or 7 different beer options, including imports). The 4 hours at Invercargill gave us a chance to recharge - and most of the credit goes to the Wayfarer Cafe team!

Food is decent, prices are a little high, does an OK job for an airport cafe
