Madhatters Donna's Cafe - Kaeo - Photo album

Stopped here after googling and reading reviews and definitely wasn’t disappointed! Service is excellent and friendly, place is clean and food was delicious! We got waffles and they were so yummy! Hubby also got the Truck & trailer and he said it was fab. Love all the decor and you can tell the owne
My husband and I stopped for lunch on our eay to Tauranga Bay. The Cafe was great, clean and well presented. We enjoyed the $18 bacon and eggs with hash browns and tomato. Was delicious and good value for the price. We especially liked the English tea in their special tea pots.
Lovely little cafe. Coffee was good. So were the broccoli n cheese balls. Really tasty as were the huge sweetcorn fritters. A must - a quirky find.
Great place to stop for a nice meal, in our case bruch. Staff were great and quite mad 😉🤣 Good variety of menu and cabinet items all homemade ✔️ We sat outside on the deck for brunch and then took a variety of cabinet goods for later. Well worth a stop 😀
I just love that this cafe is still open in Kaeo & I give it 5 star because I just love to pop in to this fun place on my seldom visits to this town where I was born & schooled to Std 4! It's helping keep Kaeo alive. Please support them when going by..you'll find something to enjoy with a coffee.
Quaint little coffee I wasn't expecting to find there. We passed by on a public holiday (observed Day after New year's Day) and the place was open, with a fair amount of regulars popping by to get their coffees. Good was good, coffee excellent, and the slices to die for!
Lovely place. Always friendly and people ready for a chat. Good coffee, pasties, pies and cakes
The best waffles and bacon I had in a long long long time. Beats some renowned cafes around NZ hands down thank youuuu ❤️ but that’s not the best part….. The place feels like a storybook come alive, make sure you visit the washroom and get lured into the rabbit hole ✨
Just stopped randomly while on my way to Cape Reinga from Paihia. The Place was amazing, Food was amazing and the staff was amazing. One of the best breakfast's that I had in a long time. 10/10.
Loved this Cafe. Staff were lovely. Food came quickly and was a good price.
Wonderful place for breakfast. Sorry forgot to mention earlier, the Alice in wonderland theme looked very nice too :). Thanks!
Sit out on the deck in the sunshine in the comfortable chairs. Pretty and well presented cafe with nice coffee & cakes. Take a photo in the giant chair. Dogs on leashes seemed to be welcome when we visited. Friendly & chatty staff.
Amazing selection of food, high quality ingredients. I had a bacon and scallop quiche which was divine. And the crab donuts are the best in NZ? Crunchy sugared outer, very fresh with real cream and raspberry keen
Great coffee, great bacon & eggs, great service with a smile.
Really nice Cafe with affordable food and drink. Highly reccomend toasted sandwiches. Tea is nice and comes in a teapot with matching cup each with a different design.
Good food but some food items were expensive. Good coffee and excellent service. The menu boards were on the floor and not immediately visible so ordered from the cabinet before we saw the menu.
Great coffee! Quirky place with lots of Alice in wonderland stuff. Lots of breakfast food available. Reasonable prices.
Perfect little spot for a coffee and snack. They serve hot food, homemade cakes, sweets and do the best iced coffees (oat milk also for those lovers out there). The ladies in there are great and make the place feel homey. Highly recommend stopping in for alittle tea or lunch break.
5 ⭐ won't do. I'll give them 10 ✨✨✨✨✨ Some places make you 😁 all day. The Mad Hatter's Cafe does that to me. Great ambiance, fanTAStic food. Oh my..., try their asparagus/cream cheese quiche or bacon and egg pie and you know somebody in the kitchen loves her job: Donna 💜Coffee delicious, hot chocol
